Having suffered for so many years, Amadi was at the point of breakthrough when tragedy struck. If he did believe in fate, he would agree that an ill fate had befallen him. It looks as if there was no end to the dark tunnel, but the worst nightmare was just by the corner.

Adaku the mysterious girl

 Two years and six months later, Ikem has not been able to carry out his evil plans against Adaku. He was now growing impatient because Barr. Ken informed him that he will read Amadi’s will in six months’ time. Worst is that the reading will take place before Ikem, Adaku and other adult relatives. The accident Ikem had expected to happen refused to take place. For that, he decided to play god and get rid of the last obstacle standing on his way. 


 One fateful day, Amara came to school with three apples. She gave Adaku one of the apples because she was her best friend. Adaku thanked her and immediately sank her teeth into the apple. She chewed out a chunk from the apple and involuntarily looked at the remaining one in her hand. She then got confused because she saw blood in the apple. She quickly spit out the one in her mouth. 


 “Look there is blood in it,” Adaku said showing the apple to Amara. Amara snatched the apple from her and put it inside her bag.
