When one morning a little girl is found lifeless on the shores of Lake Brook with her insides torn apart and missing, Joshua Dawson and Aidan Reid only have until the next full moon to prevent the killer monster from searching for its second victim.

 Josh glares anxiously at Aidan. They are already sitting at their usual place for lunch. What is he up to with Amber? They plan to meet her during lunch. What's even more annoying is that because Aidan is staying over at his house, for this lunch they bought food from the cafeteria, most of which doesn't meet Josh's taste. There is no home-made food that Mrs. Reid usually makes for him. Due to this, Josh is in a bad mood. 


 "Aren’t you hungry?" asks Aidan who notices Josh not touching his food. "How unusual of you." 


 "What are you and Amber actually planning to do?"
