The fair

Adam regretted allowing Chloe to pick his food for him, they were now walking to the next activity that she thinks will be fun for both of them to do. Chloe took them to a nearby movie theater and got them tickets for a movie she had been meaning to watch. He was excited to watch a movie in a public place for the first and couldn't wait for the movie to begin.

He sat down at their seats and she showed up with popcorns and the drinks. They got ready to watch the movie, the lights went off and the movie began. It was a cartoon film 'frozen'. Chloe was so happy when the movie started but Adam wished he could slap himself in the face a hundred times for letting her pick a movie for them to watch. He sat through an hour of frozen, people were becoming emotional during the movie and some even cried when Anna froze into ice. Chloe was one of the people who cried during the movie.

The movie ended and Adam rejoiced in his heart, he had no idea how a grown person can sit through that movie and even afford to cry. He took Chloe's hand and left the movies.

"Did you enjoy the movie?" she asked excited. "Of course it was amazing and I loved it." he answered not wanting to break the poor girls heart. He cursed every word that came out of his mouth on the inside but was able to maintain a happy face on the outside. Chloe gave herself five points for the movie, the poor thing had no idea how much of a failure the movie idea went. She thought about it for long and decided what they were going to do next.

She stopped a cab for both of them and told the driver where to go. She was excited and nervous at the same time about her next idea, so far her had not complained about anything and that was good and a plus for her. But there was a possibility that he might not like where she was taking him next. It was a very crowded place and she didn't know if he liked such places or not. The cab arrived at the place and Adam paid the driver before they got off.

There it was the one place that she had always read to be a very good date destination. They were standing right at the gates of the fair that was being held at the park. She imagined the prices that Adam was going to win for her and her excitement leaped to the sky. She looked back at Adam who was also looking at the fair, "Shall we go in ?" she asked and he nodded his head.

Adam had heard of places like that but not once had he ever stepped foot in them and he was not excited to try because judging by what he had come to learn about his new wife. She was terrible at picking activities for them to do, he stabilized his emotions and remained neutral to the situation to avoid disappointment. The fair in its idea sounds nice but with his wife around he was more than sure that he was not going to have any fun. Even carrying Chelsea's shopping bags and following her around was much more fun than her.

He paid for their tickets and they went in, there were so many stalls that sold different kinds of things. They walked around the fair deciding on which ride to go on first. She wanted to give Adam the best experience at the fair, one that he won't forget for a very long time. She decided on the drop tower and went there. They stood in line and waited for there turn to ride, the line kept moving until they were next.

"This ride can be a bit scary but I will be right there with you okay," she said and he scoffed. "Says the girl who still watches cartoons upto this day," he said.

"Just because I watch cartoon doesn't mean that I am scared of things." she said.

They were buckled up and ready to go. The ride was turned on and it started to go up, at first it was going at a slow speed but the more it went up the more it increased it's speed. It went up at such high speed and people were screaming, some out of excitement and others out of fear. Chloe was screaming her heart out as it has been very long since she came to a carnival and enjoyed herself.

Adam did not make a single sound but his heart was trembling with fear, this was his first time on something like that and it was not going well with him. He was scared that the machine will stop working and they will be stuck up there or that it might break and they would fall down and die. He was so scared, the ride reached the top and stopped. He heaved a sigh of relief but the ride started going down so fast that he was forced to scream. He reached out and held Chloe's hand without realizing it and shut his eyes out of fear.

He didn't want to see how far down they were going, the ride stopped and they got off. He ran to the nearby bin and threw up. Chloe was afraid that he wasn't feeling well and offered him a seat in one of the benches to relax. He sat down and drank the water she had brought him, he still couldn't bring his racing heart to calm down. That ride was terrifying but the child minded wife of his didn't seem scared by it at all but rather was looking like she was having fun. How she can enjoy such a terrifying death seeking activity was a wonder to him.

"Are you okay to go on any more rides or should we call it a day?" she asked in a concerned tone. He very much wanted to end the trip and go home but he didn't want to ruin her fun just because he was afraid. He also wanted to go on many more rides to get rid of this fear that has cropped up in his heart. "I feel fine now let's go,"

They were walking to next ride she was thinking of going on when she saw a cute white teddy bear with a red heart at its chest with the inscriptions 'I love you' written on it. She fell in love with the doll and went to the stall, Adam just followed her without asking any questions. "How much to earn that teddy bear over there?" she asked the owner of the stall.

"You have to knock out at least twelve targets to win it," he replied. She paid him and picked up the darts and started throwing them at the mini balloons but none hit the target. She paid him again and again to try and win the bear but failed each time. She felt sad about her loss and almost cried but she blinked the tears away. The owner of the shop felt sorry for her and gave a small tortoise to cheer her up, she thanked him and turned around to leave with Adam.

"Wait," Adam stopped her. "Let me give it a try," he said and paid the owner and picked up the darts. He aimed at the balloons and shot all of them in one go and won her the teddy bear, she was so happy she jumped up and down with the bear in hand and danced to celebrate her victory. Adam wondered whether he had married a wife or adopted a daughter in form of a wife. Her behavior is just like that of a child, it was just a doll and she is dancing around as if she had won the lottery.

Chloe danced around and hugged Adam in her excitement and kissed him on the cheek before going back to dancing. Adam who was busy in his mind froze at the sudden contact and the kiss, he pulled Chloe away from there as people were now staring at them. Chloe felt so embarrassed that she couldn't look him in the eyes and stared at the ground. She was blushing like crazy.

"Where do you want to go next?" he asked after standing next to her for more than five minutes without her saying anything. He wanted to tease her about her behavior but thought against it. Watching her behavior after he won her that bear made him smile and his fear went away, her childish behavior was very cute. "Let's try that ride," she said not even looking up from the ground.

"Are you sure?" he asked and she nodded. "Okay, then ladies first." he said and she nodded.

She looked up and cried in her heart at her stupidity, she was not very pleased with the choice she had made. She had selected the mechanical bull ride, they walked up the ride and stood in line. The line was not long and it was soon going to be their turn, they watched the man who was riding the bull get thrown off the bull and shuddered with fear. Chloe couldn't find an excuse to avoid the ride as it was her idea and she had also bragged about not being scared. Her insides were twitching and turning as her palms were wet with sweat.

She saw that another ride not far from them was free and there was no line and pulled Adam towards it. "Let's try this ride first, we will go back to that one one's the line clears up." she said and Adam quickly agreed with her. They got on the ride and put their seat belts on and the ride started. They had gotten into the Condor ride, the ride started spinning them around and out of the ground over and over again until they were dizzy.

When the ride ended they got off and went out, one thing was clear to both of them, that was the last ride they were getting on. They enjoyed the rest of the fair playing games and winning gifts before they called it a day.
