The year is 2025 when the new VR game, Kingdom of Shadows, is released to the world. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have special abilities.

Luca is a high school boy who gets recruited by a company to play the game and unravel its secrets. However, he soon realizes that this might be more than just a game. 

When the fate of humanity is held by a young boy, will we be able to survive and prevent a catastrophe?

Before Ryker could ask what he meant, Mr. Hoot hoot spoke again in a very serious tone.

"I know the mission the goddess of life gave you is crucial, hoot hoot. But you are worthless if you die, the Shadow King is already aware of your coming. Keep a low profile and good luck hoot hoot." -with that, he dissipated into small green particles that disappeared in midair.

Before Ryker could say something, Shila came running at him and punched him on the arm. The rest of the party followed and they were surrounding Ryker in an instant.

"What the hell Ryker! So you can not only use multiple affinities but also know the life and death gods?!" -she was mad but also relieved because they knew they had no way of surviving that spell if it were not for Ryker's connection to the gods.

"Well, actually I can use all affinities thanks to the goddess of life. But anyway, Mr. Hoot hoot is right, we need to keep a low profile."
