The year is 2025 when the new VR game, Kingdom of Shadows, is released to the world. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have special abilities.

Luca is a high school boy who gets recruited by a company to play the game and unravel its secrets. However, he soon realizes that this might be more than just a game. 

When the fate of humanity is held by a young boy, will we be able to survive and prevent a catastrophe?

<p>Ryker, or Luca in the real world, found himself staring at a dirty blond lady with big honey eyes wearing a black suit through the glass surface of the egg cabin. The egg then split into two with a hiss and the two pieces retracted into the ground. It was after Amelia's eyes drifted downwards and chuckled a little that he remembered he was naked. He quickly covered his private parts but found out he was much slower than what he was used to. He felt sluggish and heavy.  </p>

<p>Amelia let out a light-hearted laugh and motioned towards one of the muscular men behind her to bring forth some clothes. It was just a pair of underwear and a silk robe. The man passed them to Luca who put them on as fast as he could. He was having a really hard time adjusting to his real speed. He had grown accustomed to his stats in the game that in real life he felt something was lacking. He also noticed that the air felt thinner as if the oxygen was missing.</p>
