014 Not a player?

"What do you mean..." I hesitated. Maybe I didn't hear that right because of the pain I was in.

"You don't know what HP is?" Alex continued for me, staring at Erika the same way I was doing. Erika's brows furrowed and it looks like she wanted to get angry yet at the same time the shocks in our faces must've made her think there was something wrong.

"If I knew what it was I wouldn't have asked and what did this young lad say about killing you? I'm barely doing anything that would harm your life" she stated, clearly offended.

Now that Erika mentioned it she made a point. I was just being pinned none too kindly on the ground yet it wasn't really a life threatening situation nor something fatal since the pain was starting to disappear as I continued to ease my chest area by rubbing it gently.

"Well HP means Health Points" Alex stated as a matter of fact and it made Erika frown even more.

'No shit sherlock' I facepalmed inside my head.

"So what exactly are you trying to tell me?" she asked but it sounded more like a demand. Alex and I looked at each other just as confuse as she was, his eyes began to wink in a weird way and I raised my brow in question.

"Ughh you need to learn how to communicate without speaking" he whispered agitatedly and I glared at him.

"Your wink wasn't indicating anything, you just made it up!" I argued.

"Well I was trying to form words using morse codes" he pouted.

"You're making a joke out of yourself"

Erika cleared her throat irritatedly and we both stopped our mini argument then laughed awkwardly.

"How about we go sit somewhere comfortable and talk?" I suggested when I finally was able to compose myself. My stomach still ache along with my chest but it wasn't painful enough for me to no be able to stand on my own.

Erika nodded at my suggestion though there was something negative about the tension that surrounds her so I planned to avoid that, it's not fair that I only got beaten due to Alex's wrongdoings but if I somehow provoke her given her temper that replicates a ticking time bomb all of her anger from earlier might be directed towards me. It's just a conclusion though.

We went to her room and she sat on the bed while I chose to grab the single chair and Alex leaned on the windowsill behind me a few feet away.

'Nice move, leaving me here on my own' I complained then just ignored him and focus on Erika.

"This place is the same as the game right? The mobs and the mechanics of how everything works here" I started and she remained quiet but her eyes were full of suspicion and doubt.

"Well look at this" I put my hand forward and tapped the watch to turn the green screen on. At first Alex didn't see this and I still haven't figured the reason behind it, it was a small chance that Erika would be able to see this yet it was worth a shot, a way to gain more knowledge about the item.

The green screen popped out and my status panel showed.

I heard Erika's breath hitching, like she suddenly stopped breathing and stared wide eye at the screen.

"What kind of technology is that!?" she hissed, almost like she was afraid of it.

"You two said you carry no weapons!" she demanded and hurriedly got up to pick up one of her double barrel shotgun pistol and pointed it at my head.

"Woah! Calm down this isn't a weapon!" I tried reasoning with her yet she made no move to put her gun down. Alex looked at me in panic and started murmuring some prayers probably. I move my gaze back at Erika again and when I got an idea to show her something I tried to touch the panel but she suddenly shrieked angrily.

"Do not move your hand!"

"Seriously calm the fuck down! This isn't a goddamn weapon cause if it is we wouldn't be scared of you threatening us all the time and literally let you beat me like a pulp earlier!" I seethed, completely feeling aggravated and scared yet the sudden rush of adrenaline along with the panic building up made me man up and speak...well almost scream at her too defend myself.

Erika glared at me but after some time she slowly lowered the gun and sighed, walking back towards the middle of the bed and sitting up.

"I'm sorry..." she apologized her voice strained and sounded weak.

"It's...its fine, I completely understand"

Well to be honest I don't understand her behavior but there must be something behind it that caused her to act like that, if I wasn't mistaken her eyes were full of fear and anxiety while she was pointing the gun at me. I don't want to make any conclusions about it though, well at least not now.

I also went back to my chair and didn't bother to glance at Alex who was seconds away from jumping out the window where he was sitting, this is just the first floor after all so he can make a run for it if things gotten dangerous though that's kind of a dick move for someone who save him days ago.

I cleared my throat and tapped at the panel again, trying to find the map then showed it her.

"Look this is where we are right now" I started and Erika listened calmly although the tension was still present at the moment.

"See we're inside a circle and that circle around us means we're in a safezone from what I learned" I continued and this time Erika payed attention even more along with Alex who left his spot and moved closer to stare and listen to what I was saying.

"Mostly there would be dots here around the map but as far as I know the radius of this map can only see what's withing ten miles from me" I kept explaining and Erika suddenly tapped the table.

"Yes?"

"I have never seen this before" she admitted and I nodded in understanding.

"Well this is a legendary item that only I have after defeating the Boss" I declared triumphantly, my ego getting ahead of me.

"Lad your head is up the clouds, you two barely escaped some punny dogs and your telling me you defeated a boss?" she mocked, expressing the word boss in a mocking tone.

"I'm actually telling the truth, I defeated the game's boss before I was sent here" I stated.

"How about you, what happened before you were sent here?" Alex asked pointing at Erika's direction, I was also going to ask the same thing to her but it looked like Alex beat me to it. Erika gave us an indistinguishable look and scoffed twice.

"You two really have some problem in the head" she fumed, shaking her head in utter disappointment.

"Look here morons who acts like you two sniffed a dozen packet of drugs, I don't know what you meant about getting sent here but the world had been like this after a massive virus break out 3 years ago"
