Poolside Morning

~Chapter 70~

Mae and Nimaro slept soundly that night, and the following morning found them as they had always been, content, loving and flirtatious, passing time as if the events of the night before had never happened.

Mae was pleased that things often went like this. Nimaro, in his constant considerate nature, wouldn't rush her to speak, allowing her the time to process and think.

After breakfast, Mae changed Nimaro's bandages, pleased to see that he was no longer in any pain, his wounds already neared healed, before helping him to dress into a light purple vest with a white sash and belt, as was appropriate for the funerary type service to honor the return of Aoden and Hesat's akress bands he was going to attend.

Parting ways at the entrance of the den, Mae spent the rest of the morning, lounging poolside with Zakes'trie, while Bej'salmah and Pemhe'bomah kept a close eye on the children as they played in the water.
