"Well, isn't this an interesting surprise," Omb remarked from her throne, raised three stairs up from the temple floor. "My servant returns and with one of my followers in tow. Not exactly what I recall sending you out to fetch, Elahemé."

"I'm sorry for the unexpected nature of our arrival," Mae replied, Baas standing beside her, "But I've come to inform you that I will not be able to complete your task."

"How disappointing. After all this time I should hope you have at least some explanation for your failure."

Taking the leather envelope from Baas, Mae stepped forward and handed it to Tien'shay, who had blocked her from ascending the stairs.

"That's everything; all the information I've managed to obtain about Ix and…" Mae paused, taking a breath. "It's just everything that a more capable someone needs to rescue Strativar for you. It came at a higher price than I wanted to pay, so please make use of it."
