~Chapter 108~

By the time they were back on the road, there was little daylight left, but they managed to make it the first destination for the night. Just outside of the small forest village of Glastaӓg, which primarily catered to the local hunters, was a campground that featured an Admark General Store and a partial service Mount Care Facility and was across the road from the only pub for miles in any direction.

What remained of the dwindling light was spent setting up their wagons; the Cyb'nyk exceedingly grateful that they were able to get sites side-by-side. It also meant they would only have to keep one fire tended for the night, which Baas built in the pit between their wagons.

That first night had an unsettling familiarity to it. The sounds, the smells, the entire feeling of being inside a camping trailer; it forced old memories to the surface as Mae laid awake in her bunk, staring at the ceiling that was close enough to touch.
