Vendors' Night

~Chapter 113~

With the inspection completed by half past six, Mae, Kyurn and Ven enjoyed dinner, safely in their wagon, as a crowd had begun to gather beyond the barricades in hopes of catching a peek at potential wares.

By this time, merchants who were going to arrive already had, and vendors were set up with merchandise on display, mostly for other merchants to gauge and assess, as was tradition. And once their dinner was finished, it was Mae's turn to see what others were offering.

"I know it's bothersome," Ven offered his empathy to Mae as they finished putting the dishes away, "but it's important that you're viewed as a child."

"We've gone over this Ven. It's not like I'm going to forget."

"Forgetting isn't my concern; it's your anger over it that has me worried."

"Then you've nothing to worry about. I've resigned myself to my position. For better or worse, I'm your adorable, little sister," Mae concluded as Kyurn open the door and popped his head, inside.
