Unignorable Spectacle

~Chapter 114~

Mae was charmed, as she stared at the photo in her hands. Sitting quietly inside their wagon, across the table from Kyurn. Even while being scolded for going into the photo booth after telling him, she'd wait, she couldn't stop going over the details of the image. The photo was grainy, appearing more like a painting due to the textured nature of the paper they were using, but it was still astonishing given that it was taken with the first camera that had been created on Sah'korhune.

It had been years since the last time she'd seen a real photo of herself, her hair far longer than she could recall it ever being before, and she looked older, scarred and worn. She barely recognized yourself; not that she saw that as a bad thing; simply a reminder of years gone by.

"Do you think he'll like it?" Mae asked, as she thought of framing it for Nimaro to put in their room in the Quarter.

"Were you even listening to me?" Kyurn questioned with a heated tone.
