~Chapter 142~

By the time Mae was preparing to leave for a prolonged stay in the Quarter on the 40th, in preparation for Nhaju's arrival, everyone had managed to find their place or at the very least a routine that worked.

Mae had moved Strativar into her home, making it easier to continue aiding him with his rehabilitation, from the daily physical therapy to teaching him how to live without magic. It didn't come as much of a shock to discover that he had no idea how to cook, and despite being an avid hunter in his youth, had no idea how to butcher a carcass. He was a son of Royalty, and even as a prisoner didn't have to do anything in the way of food prep for himself. Baas was an invaluable resource and became an essential instructor to Strativar not just in the kitchen either but also with teaching him about mount care and how to ride without equipment.
