Chapter 30: The End of The Month

I leaned my back on the car hood. Tonight the sky seems bright, a gentle breeze blows my face. I took a deep breath as I heard someone's footstep approaching. "You came early?" I did not answer his question. "At least, the rumor is right. You are no longer an author anymore."

"I'm still an author. Even though my company tries to reach its glory." I can smell his perfume. "Can you stay away from my girlfriend? She's not Eva." I gripped my fist and try to hold back.

"Does she know who truly you are, Ms. Gabriela? You're not only can put her in danger, but… will she patience with someone inside you?" He asks.

"She know, Kevin. I…" he put a wide chocolate envelope on the hood.

"I'm happy for you, Lobak." I took a deep breath and opened the envelope. "You should be patience. I don't like you to take a rush decision to…"

"I got it!" I walked to my car. "Thanks, I'll see you soon, brother!" I leave him there, I want to talking much about my life with him, but I'm not ready yet. I hurt him badly and was ashamed to ask him for a favor. He's a good man, a lovely husband, and… a good friend.

I will not ask him because I have already promised her to taking care of someone.

Flashback on

"Babe, come here!" I'm approaching her and looking at the frame that she holds. "Where were the pictures!?" Rose raised her eyebrow.

I snatched the picture frame, then put it back. "I already burned them all. It's that a problem?"

I pulled her hand closer and put it on my shoulder. I grabbed her hand. We waltzed. "There's a story behind the song I played." We look into each other's eyes as we move our feet swiftly. "Once, there's a poor pianist. One day, the king invited his band to the palace. At night at the party, the poor pianist met a beautiful woman standing alone. She only holding her glass, watching the crowds dance to his melody."

Her feet moved swiftly. She can catch up on my move. We performed an oversway technique. "What happened after they met?" She furrowed her eyebrow.

"The pianist..." She holds my hand. The music stopped as we heard someone knocked the door. What the fuck you want, guest!? I picked my phone and pause the song. "Lim?!"

"Yes?" Lim answer.

"CCTV." Lim is my Virtual Assistant. I made her to helping me and Hanks. Who is he? He seems like… someone who was looking for someone.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Rose approaching me. After she took a peek, she gasped, closed her mouth, and her eyes widen, glancing at me.

I try to calm her down, but she keeps refusing. What's wrong with her!? Can I have a good time with her!? She just came out of the hospital. "You wanted to meet him?" Rose shook his head. Her face was pale, her body trembling and sweating.

"C-can you get rid of him? I don't want to meet him." I'm trying to embrace her, but she keeps refusing. What's wrong with you? "Will you promise me!?" I took a deep breath.

"I-I will get rid of him, okay, please calm down! Remember what your mom said." She left the room. Fuck. This is madness.

Flashback off

I opened a can of Coca-Cola and passed it to him. "Thank you." I sit. I observed him drink the cola as he was eating his hot pot. "Oh, my God! I haven't eaten good food in a while!"

I took a deep breath and gripping my fist. "Can you… stay away from my wife, Mr. Larry?" He stops eating and stared at me. His attitude is already clear that he is a jerk, scumbag, and douche.

"I want…" I put a duffle bag on the table and unzipped. He widens his eyes.

"I know why are you looking for my wife. You need money." He keeps his eyes on the bag. I zipped the bag and put it next to me. He keeps looking at the bag.

"Uh… yeah? I-I…"

"You can have it all the money inside this bag, Mr. Larry, but please, don't forget to stay away from my wife!" He snatch the bag and nodding his head. Huh, gold digger. I'm standing and walked to the cashier to pay his meal.

Am I that rich? No, I gave him a props money. You can find it lots of tutorial video on YouTube. What's wrong with that? Props money used for a movie. I'm not using it for a criminal activity. It's A4 size plain paper, looking for picture in the Google, and Voila! You've got your props money.

I never have the intention of teaching how to become a criminal. I have a chat style story or people called chat fiction. Sometimes, I'm searching for an image on the internet, not like as I want. That's why I learned how to create props. Some people choosing a platform such as Tap by Wattpad, Hooked, or Once Upon a Chat to read.

I picked my phone to call someone. I'm not lying if the global elite, rich, celebrity, and official have inside men to do their dirty work. "Hey, Ms. Psycho! What do you need!? Heard you got your life back."

He never change, doesn't he? I miss his hoarse voice. "Sorry to wake you, Dan. I've got a case for you." At least I'm not hurting him physically or do some illegal activity that could hurt him.

"Okay, let me get dressed. Send me the details." he hang up my call. What a life, didn't it? I walked to my car and looking at the sky. The moon was bright tonight. The star, as if sits there watching us from there. People say a bright one was someone we loved observed us.

If it's true, I saw two stars shining brightly tonight. "Where are you looking at?" I'm looking at my side and shook my head. "Did you already…"

"I already taken care of that." I stare into her eyes.

I want to ask her why, but how dare I? I know is my business. She's my girlfriend/wife, but… "Can you asking it louder?" She asks.

People said she's a witch, but for me she's a Britney Spears. "Why you… hate him?" I'm looking at her.

She keeps looking at Larry, who was singing and dancing all his way. He hits a jackpot, doesn't he? That jackpot will lead him to his arrest. "He's the reason… me and my best friend become an enemy and burned the bridge. First, I thought he had already broken up with her, but I was wrong. He hasn't broken up with her and… she found out."

I took a deep breath. It's deep. The damage to his caused was bad. If I found you before him, it's a different story. Fuck. I want to punching his face. I gripped on my steering wheel. "Sometimes…" I'm looking at her. "…I was thinking of fixing the bridge between me and her."

I took a deep breath and holding her hand. "Let's we… go to your best friend's house." She furrowed her eyebrow. "I-it's worth a try, you know." I said.

She's nodding her head and wiped her tears. I started the engine and leave the parking lot. Now, we can live happily, at least for a while. Besides, I haven't heard about Jane again, and I don't want to know anything about her anymore.
