Chapter 25: Dumple (Part 2)

I grabbed Rose's hand and smiled. We were waiting for Reggie to arrive, but he would be late. Traffic jams during lunches and trucks driver began to work. The Cargo port opened from 9 AM until 8 PM.

I understand if they got mad sometimes. It's a hard job. The renter paid them cheap, and sometimes they saved it for their family. Even they ate poorly quality food. They hurried to get it all done because if they did not deliver it on time, they got fined by the port also bad for business.

"Try this," I put the dumpling on Rose's plate.

"This is pork!? Why would you give me!?" She turned back the dumpling. I ate the dumpling, and the taste it's good.

"No, it's chicken," I laughed. Rose put another dumpling on my plate as she smirked at me.

"Guess it!" She said. I stared at the dumpling. We decided to play a little guessing game called 'Guessing What's Inside' since she doesn't belives that I ordered chicken dumplings.

Our game was interrupted by Mrs. Wardiono, who was suddenly sitting between us. "Am I bothering your little game?" I ate the dumpling.

"No, you did not interrupt us, Mrs. Wardiono," Rose said as I nodded my head. I picked a teapot and poured it into my cup. I raised my hand, but she stopped me.

"Don't be bothered," I did not lower my hand. A waitress came to us, and she brought the menu.

"It's fine, ma'am. You were our guest, now." Rose nodded. "It's our job to make our guests feel comfortable." I cleared my throat.

"An oolong tea, one teapot, and..." I flipped the page, "another chicken dumpings." I closed the menu.

"Both of you already married?" We nodded in sync. I put a chopstick and plate in front of her.

"You should try the dumpling, ma'am. It's delicious." I put three dumplings on her plate.

"You good with your family?" I shook my head.

"I'm not good with my family, but she's, yeah. My mother-in-law gets it why I did not get along with my family," Mrs. Wardiono hummed. When Indonesian people ask that question, and your answer is like mine, they get it. That means you moved out and never come back again. You keep maintaining your communication, but not too often.

I took a glance at her, and she responded. It's time to get serious. I saw the tea comes out with cooked dumplings. "Here's the dumplings." We did not talk until the waitress back to their post.

It's lunch, but since Mrs. Wardiono was here. They did not open the restaurant yet.

"Can I ask what happened with Galih?" Rose asked as she poured the tea.

"I don't like his wife because of her behavior and face," I took a deep breath. "And it's already proven by the incident that she isn't worthy to die for," she said as she sipped her tea.

Even Princess Wardiono knows about the incident!? Okay, okay, you should calm down. It's not the right time you feel embarrassed. It's not your fault, but her's fault.

"She is your ex, right?" I nodded, "can you describe your relationship with her before?" I straighten my body.

"We had a toxic relationship, ma'am, and I'm the victim. Short story, she 'invaded' my social accounts, Mobile Legend accounts, and my writing platform accounts, all of them!" I took a deep breath, "I did not invade her account and never did that. Maybe it was my mistake to give her access in the first place, but it's when we were us. I did not know that she saved my passwords." I hold Rose's hand under the table.

"So, does she still invade your account?" I shook my head, "when I asked for my accounts back, she didn't reply to my message." Mrs. Wardiono sighed. She looks tired of this thing. When your parents find out you are in real trouble, trust me, Mrs. Wardiono's face is one of them.

In this case, her son was involved in 'that incident.'

Flashback on

I picked up my briefcase, and I heard someone knock on the door. Do you know what time is it, right!? I wanted to go home!

"Come in!" I sat on my chair.

"Can we talk!?" I raised my eyebrow, "you are human, right!?" I took a deep breath and picked up my briefcase.

"I have a wife!" Eva slapped me. I feel humiliated right now. Now all of my employees looked at us. Great, Rose will pull her vail and kick her ass.

"L-Lobak, I..." okay, I have enough.

"Listen, I might be an asshole, but I never promise you to wait. Am I saying I wanted to wait for you? No, I can recall and read our chat out loud. She slapped me twice.

"Galih forced me," okay, fuck this shit. I'm out! Hanks helped me to get out of the crowd. "I wanted to protect you! Y-you, don't know how hard it is." I took a deep breath.

I told Hanks to wait inside the car and smiled. "If you doing 'that' to protect me, say it to me. Don't hide it." She wanted to speak, but I interrupted her. "You look dumb right now," I said. Everything comes to your mouth. It's a lie.

"Lobak, please..." are you begging!? An arrogant person like you should be embarrassed.

"You can't take the fact that I'm autistic, Eva. It's hurt me so much!" She looks at me with teary eyes. "I don't want to fall in the same hole ever again." I shook my head. "I'm sorry, I already have a wife, and she was waiting for me to go home." I walked to my car.

Flashback off

I sighed. "It's that true?" Mrs. Wardiono shook her head.

"Galih first came me, that your ex was single," she said. "And I thought Eva was a good innocent person, plus Galih said you were her friend." I took a deep breath.

It will be a long chat.
