The rest of class was just dreadful. My mind just kept running with every possibility that could happen. Mostly of things going wrong. Luckily or unluckily, well I couldn't make my mind on which one it is. Class went by faster now since I was so preoccupied.
So when the bell rang for us to leave school we all got up and made our way home. I walked with Saki to the gate in absolute silence. It was so awkward that neither of us could even look at each other. We both just turned our heads and looked the other way. Don't get me wrong I wasn't being rude and I would start a conversation if I knew what to say.
"Oh hey!" Waved Rikiwari from the gate. Looks like she was waiting for me today.
"How the hell did you get here so fast? We all left the class at the same time." I asked.
"Listen, I have to wait for people not vice versa." Responded Rikiwari.
"Okay that just makes no sense." I said shaking my head.
"Oh I didn't notice Saki. What is she doing here?" Asked Rikiwari.
"I'm going over to Shun's house today." Saki said proud of her accomplishment.
"What! That's no fair. How come she gets to but I haven't yet?" Asked Rikiwari with puppy dog eyes.
"She's only coming over to continue working on the class battle." I responded.
Saki looked at me and pouted because of the response I gave.
"Why are you pouting?" I asked.
"You are being mean." Said Saki staring into my eyes.
I sighed and accepted my defeat. We finally started our walk and I think the tension just multiplied ten fold. Well at least they aren't fighting anymore.
Saki out of nowhere quickly grabbed my arm and is now holding it as we walk. Rikiwari noticing this does the same and the competition begins.
I spoke way too soon.
"Why are you holding onto his arm?" Asked Saki.
"I could easily ask you the same. If anything he's more comfortable with me since we walk home together all the time." Responded Rikiwari.
"We've only had class for two days." I added with a whimper.
"You can't talk about comfort." Said Saki putting my arm closer to her chest.
Am I dead? Is that why I'm here? This could be hell but it's suddenly becoming heavenly. Please don't wake me up mom.
"Oh hey look it's the turn. Oh no looks like we have to say by so soon." I said.
"Hey, next time have me over." Whispered Rikiwari in my ear.
I blushed and looked at her but she had already moved towards her path home. She smiled at me and waved goodbye before leaving.
Ahahaha these girls be playing too many games for me to handle. My single virgin ass can't handle all of this.
"So are we going to your room?" Asked Saki nonchalantly.
"Nope. Not happening. We can use the field to see what our spells can do for the battle." I said changing the topic.
We walked towards my house and the entire time Saki held onto my arm. Sometimes she would press my arm farther into her chest then take it out. Then would look at my face probably trying to see if I would make any reactions. Luckily we made it to my front door before she broke my soul.
"Hey Mom, Dad, I'm home." I called as I opened the door.
And not to my surprise they were waiting for us at the entrance. And once we were fully inside they popped some confetti canons.
"Welcome home! And congratulations for bringing home a girlfriend!" They shouted.
And without missing a beat they surrounded Saki and began bombarding her with compliments.
"Oh my she is so cute!" Mom said as she held her hands.
"Honey we are going to have just the cutest grandkids." Said Dad as he put his arm around me.
As this continued Saki's face grew red as she would look at me then at my parents and repeat. It was getting to a point to where I swear I saw steam coming off of her. So I just casually picked her up and put Saki on one side of me and put my parents on the other side. Once I was done I put my face in my hand and sighed.
"I swear you guys need to stop jumping to conclusions. Plus what were you guys trying to do? Kill her with all that?" I said scolding them.
"We're sorry.." Said Mom and Dad holding back tears.
"I-I mean.. If he'll have me... I-I would like to b-be his girlfriend." Said Saki hiding behind me.
My face from bottom to the top turned red. I started freaking out and I didn't even know what to say at this point. I was on the verge of fainting.
"See I told you." Said Mom nudging me in the ribs.
"Bwahahaha he is our son after all. With his good looks he could pull a whole harem." Said Dad loudly while nudging my other set of ribs.
"He's still young sweaty. I think he should take his time and start with one." Suggested Mom.
"We are going in the backyard. Bye!" I shouted as I grabbed Saki's hand and ran off with her.
Once we made it to our combat field we stopped running and just tried to just catch our breaths. I looked back up at her and saw that she was still blushing. Which in turn made me blush back.
"You can just ignore them. They are like that all the time no matter what." I said trying to comfort her.
"It's okay. They seem really nice." Saki said with a smile.
"They are aren't they. I wouldn't trade them for anyone." I responded with a smile.
"Anyway we should really come up with something for the battle." Saki said.
"You two haven't even decided on a battle strategy?" Asked Dad from behind me.
"When did you get there!?" I asked surprised.
"Well I came here to ask the young lady if she wanted anything to eat or drink. So I ended up over hearing some things." Responded Dad with a smug look on his face.
"Well since you're here do you think you can help us out?" I asked.
"I mean I can't really help you. But I can give you a suggestion. Since the voters for this battle are all noble families why don't you do something suited for that." Dad suggested.
"That is actually a really good idea." I said.
"Can you not act so surprised. Also would you like anything to drink or eat." Dad ask Saki.
"Thank you for the offer but I'm okay for now." She responded shaking her head.
"Alrighty then. If you need anything just ask Shun." Dad said as he walked away.
I let out a sigh and put my hand on Saki's head.
"W-w-wat are you doing?" Asked Saki all flustered.
"Oh my bad. You just looked nervous talking to my dad." I said taking my hand off of her head.
"I-it's fine. I just have a little social anxiety. Also if you ever want to touch me go ahead." Said Saki putting my hand back on her head.
Okay now how the hell am I not supposed to take that the wrong way? Or was it meant to be taken that way? I honestly would've never expected Saki to be this forward or let alone choose me. I don't know what to say. Other than PLEASE BE JOKING. Saki you could do so much better than me.
I let out a nervous cough and looked away.
"So uh what do noble families enjoy?" I asked.
"You really don't know? I mean you are from a royal family." Responded Saki.
"Yeah I didn't go out much till recently." I said quickly.
"Well all I can really think of are fancy parties so they can impress others." She said.
"Okay, but I don't think we can throw a party. Is there anything we could do from that?" I asked.
"Well they do like to dance." Saki suggested.
"Perfect. We'll preform a dance at the battle. And if we find a way to incorporate our magic then I think we can make something awesome." I said excited.
"I don't think anyone would be expecting a dance from the misfits." Said Saki getting pumped.
"Alright so we should probably start practicing the dance." I suggested.
"You said you didn't get out much. So I'm assuming you don't know any of the family dances?" Asked Saki
"Family dances?" I repeated confused.
"Family dances are specific formal dances that every noble family has. For example my family dance is very slow and fluid. I guess it makes sense for a family of ice specialists. And I believe I heard your family dance was very quick and 'spicy'. But I would be more than happy to teach you." Saki said with a smile as she took my hands.
*internal squealing* Saki is so forward when you are alone with her. And I'm holding hands with a girl! This is my first time holding hands with a girls and it's freaking awesome! They are so soft and even a little cold.
"What if our performance was a combination of our two family dances?" I asked trying to shut out my thoughts.
"That would be amazing. But we would need to schedule practices if we are going this far." She suggested.
"Well since you're here today we should start with practicing your dance. Then when you leave I'll have my mom teach me mine and when you come tomorrow we can practice. So we can switch off everyday. And then we can strategize spells at lunch then try using them when we come over." I explained.
"Wait. S-so I'll b-be ccccoming here e-everyday until the battle?" Asked Saki freaking out.
"I mean yeah if that's okay with you?" I said nervously.
"It's perfect." Said Saki with a smile.
Saki and I started practicing straight away. Which was great because I definitely need all the time I can get to learn these moves. And it's not even the moves that's the issue because it's all very slow and easy. The actual issue is me. Because my body is way too freaking stiff. I'm as hard as a rock.
But on the other hand Saki is amazing. She looks beautiful and graceful as she shows me all the dance moves. And any time I screw up she tells me it's okay and we keep going till I get it. With her teaching me it's actually pretty fun and I start to slowly relax my body. I think in a couple of days or so I will be able to be more fluid and less rigid.
We practiced the dance for what felt like thirty minutes but was two hours long. So we decided to take a break. So I quickly ran back into the house to bring us some water.
"So how's the battle prep going?" Asked Mom as I entered the building.
"It's going great actually. We decided on performing a mix of our family dances with magic and we've been practicing the whole time. I just came back in to bring us some waters." I reported as I grabbed two water bottles from the fridge.
"Oh that sounds amazing! I really can't wait to see you two in action!" Mom said jumping from the excitement.
"Anyway, I don't know our family dance. So I was wondering if when Saki leaves you could teach me?" I asked.
"I would love to! I'll get our dance room ready then in the meantime." Mom said hugging me tightly.
We have a dance room?
Mom quickly squeezed me then ran off somewhere. So I just shrugged and rushed back to Saki with the water.
"Here you go." I said handing her the water.
"Oh, thank you." She said.
"So what's the plan now?" I asked.
"Well it is getting late. So I think we should call it a night for today." Saki suggested.
"Ok, well dinner should be ready soon so if you want you can join us." I said slightly blushing.
"Idiot. I'll head home today but I'll take you up on that offer next time." She said with a smile.
Right there wings sprouted on Saki's back. She waved to me goodbye before she flew away. I watched her fly away for a bit before heading back inside.
"Stripes huh." I said to myself.
I walked inside the house and Mom was stood there waiting for me. She took my hand and dragged me into one of the rooms in the house. The room was an entire dance studio. Inside was was Dad waiting for the two of us.
"Are you ready to witness the family dance?" Dad asked pumped.
"Yeah. I can't wait to see it." I responded.
The two of them got into positions in the middle of the room. Dad snapped his fingers and the room filled with music from every direction. Mom put out her hand for dad. He took her hand and span her as Mom approached him. Dad quickly dipped her then hugged her close.
This was amazing. Both of them were amazing as they moved around the room. They both knew what they were doing and they let out this aura. It was like an aura of pure passion just oozing out of them. It was intense. No matter who was moving or turning or anything they had their eyes locked on each other. It was like to them the whole world was burning away and it was only them.
Compared to Saki's family dance this was insane. There were so many tempo changes with complicated step and kick motions. That alternated and went with either a line movement or a circular movement. With dips, spins, launches, and bending which didn't make sense until they did it.
The dance finished with what felt like to me only a moment of dancing. Which was probably the cause of me being completely captivated by them.
"So what'd you think?" Asked Mom not even out of breath.
"There is no way I could do anything even close to that. There was even a fire of passion between you two. How am I supposed to replicate that?" I asked.
"There is no reason to replicate that. Because you are that Shun. You are a Greywaltz so that means that you are a fire of passion. No matter how long it takes you can do this." Dad said encouraging me.
"Thank you. So when do we start?" I asked.
"Tomorrow." Mom responded with a huge smile.
