The Devil Has Come

Sylvester scoffs, "You dare get in my way? You're the one who should know your place, Viscount."

The expression on Viscount Wyman's face turns sour after Sylvester emphasizes the word 'Viscount.' "I see. The lack of parents made you be a pompous and boastful child."

What the Viscount said made Sylvester feel a different kind of madness, 'Ah, I want to kill him,' he thought.

"I know you're the devil!"

"Yes! Kill him! Tear his limbs until he couldn't smile again!"

"Do it! Kill him! Set him free like everybody else!"

Voices filled his mind as he tried his best to remain sane.

"You're a monster! Just kill him!"

Anger and rage, that's what Sylvester felt as he suppressed the urge to kill the person in front of him. His breath grew heavier as his judgment got cloudy. "Can you go by yourself?" he asked the woman beside him.

The woman instantly said yes as she raced away from the Archduke. Sylvester quickly brought out his sword and blocked their attack when the soldiers were about to attack the woman.

The Archduke cracked his neck as his eyes glowed, "I'll show you why I became this pompous and boastful child." Viscount Wyman felt shivers as his eyes met the Archduke's; it was as if he stopped moving, and all he could see was the Devil.

Viscount Wyman slowly backed away, "K-Kill him!" he commanded, making the guards attack Sylvester all at once. But knowing Sylvester, he couldn't hold back.

Blood scattered throughout the whole hallway, establishing fear in those who saw it. The Viscount and his wife ran towards the dungeon to escape from the Archduke. But it didn't go well. Sylvester chased after them.

"Get the girl." Viscount Wyman commanded his wife as she continuously ran towards the cell where Titania is, while the other guards in the dungeon rushed to help their Viscount.

The seemingly weak and pale wife of Viscount Wyman ran for her life while letting a distorted laugh. The dungeon is too cramped for Sylvester to make huge moves. Although it wasn't easy, he still achieved victory.

"You sure don't know how to hold back."

The voices inside his head chuckled as they watched Sylvester go berserk with a cold expression and a pair of glowing deep purple eyes. "Mind if I tell you, but purple means death."

The Viscount felt fear throughout his body after hearing the Archduke's unkind remarks.

"W-What are you waiting for?! He's just one man! Beat him up already!" The Viscount's desperation makes the Archduke laugh out of amusement.

His laugh permeates the whole dungeon; it was the first time for them to get a glimpse of the fearsome man who laughs like that. It was as if he indirectly told them that it was time for them to die.

At the same time, Titania's getting more and more bored inside the cell; she's been singing any songs that came up into her mind. Although it made her wonder why many guards were coming from the other end of the dungeon.

"Is it their break time?"

"What's taking Bonbon so long?" right after saying that, the foxlike creature appeared with keys in his mouth. Titania's eyes sparkled as she looked at the fox, "Thank you, my Bonbon!" she reached out her hand, and the creature placed the keys on her palm.

After that, it was a piece of cake; she got out and is now ready to get back up the stairs. But she heard loud grunts and sounds of screams coming from the way back.

"We should take this way." She pointed towards the other way that goes deeper into the dungeon.

Titania decided to walk, but then Bonbon ran away, which made her flustered. Without thinking, she raced with the creature until they reached one of the cells where Bonbon is currently staring at.

The cute small creature looked at the lock and made Titania realize that he wanted to open the cell without knowing why.

Titania took her time to find the appropriate key and quickly opened the cell. Bonbon went into the dark cell as if he was familiar with it.  On the other hand, Titania, who felt curious, took a step inside and tried to adjust her eyesight to the darkness.

She roamed her vision to see what was inside it that made Bonbon want to open the lock. Bonbon's faint sobs echoed as he kept looking back and forth to Titania and something on the ground. Titania gasps and immediately covers her mouth, holding back her screams upon seeing the thing that's on the ground. It was dark, but she could see very clearly what it was.

Her fingers trembled as she felt weak on her knees. The foul smell made her back away. What she saw were two dead bodies. They both have animal-like ears and orange tails.

As Titania kept backing away, she didn't see the bump behind her, and it made her fall on her bum.

No wonder Bonbon wanted to open the lock. It was where Bonbon's parents were.

The lasting emotions she felt made her speechless, and she couldn't move. Sadness filled her heart as she watched the young fox nudging the dead bodies as if wanting them to wake up.

Tears ran down her cheeks as she continued watching the young creature snuggling with his dead parents.

"Oh my, it seems like I have forgotten to throw away those bodies."

That same voice she heard before snatched Titania's attention. The Viscount's wife, Izett Wyman. Although she looks pale and weak, she's a cruel person that enjoys torturing demi-humans and peasants.

She married the Viscount and continued with her dirty hobby. She's the one who put Titania in that cage. "You should come with me."  Izett grabbed Titania on her arm and forcibly pulled her up, but Bonbon didn't hesitate to bite her hand, making her jump out of pain.

The Viscount's wife threw Bonbon away, which made Titania stand up with a shocked expression. She couldn't believe the drastic change in the Viscount's wife's attitude.

"Come now, I won't hurt you." Izett smiled and was trying to tame Titania as if she were a wild animal.

Titania kicked the lady in the guts and quickly picked Bonbon up. When she was about to storm out of that place, the Viscount arrived. He quickly grabbed her by the waist and carried her all the way out of the dungeon. It was too fast that Titania couldn't process what had just happened.

The Archduke who followed the Viscount was right behind them. He couldn't attack because Titania was in the Viscount's hands. Titania grunts as she tries to escape from the Viscount's grasp. She was placed on the top of the Viscount's shoulder like a sack of rice.

'Am I not treated as a human anymore?' is what she thought but then remembered that she's not human in the first place.

Titania saw how Izett stumbled into a rock and fell on the ground while running behind them. As if Viscount Wyman didn't see or hear anything, he continued running away.

It was unbelievable how this man left his wife just to save his arse. Although Titania thought that Sylvester would let Izett go, she couldn't believe how the Archduke beheaded the woman without any glimpse of emotions in his face.

'Is it okay for the male lead of this story to be that brutal?' is what she thought as she grimaces at the rolling head of Izett with blood spurting out.

She ended up vomiting, but the Viscount didn't notice at all, which made Titania feel embarrassed yet amused at the same time.

"Stop!" The Archduke commanded, but then, a loud explosion coming from the village disturbed his chase.

"I guess the fearsome Archduke must choose, his people or his woman." The Viscount chuckled while running away.

Sylvester, left with no choice, came running back towards the village to help the villagers evacuate. There were also tons of guards willing to die for the Viscount; they kept charging at the Archduke and ended up all dead.

Even though the villagers felt scared of the Archduke, they helped him extinguish the fire that ate almost everything.

Sylvester knew that Viscount Wyman was scum, but he didn't expect him to kill hundreds just to save his life.

The smell of smoke and blood enveloped the village; it didn't take Sylvester a lot to defeat all the guards but helping the villagers evacuate delayed him from going after the Viscount.

The Viscount and Titania reached the mountains on the west side of Azmar Village. He just noticed why he's feeling warm at his back. He wants to punch Titania but can't because he will sell her at a very high price.

"You're an idiot," Titania said out of nowhere which made the Viscount angrier.

He choked Titania, and she could see how ugly the Viscount's face became. In a second, he was all smiles and bliss, but now he's overflowing with greed and anger.

Titania smiled while still being choked by Viscount Wyman. Her smile flustered the man and made him back away, "You thought I couldn't kill you?" Titania chuckled as her eyes turned deadly.

The Viscount couldn't believe what he was seeing. The kind and gentle Fairy Queen has changed.

"Good timing. You see, I've been suppressing my anger because of that man (the Archduke)." Titania showed her sweetest smile, "Won't you die for me? Scum."

Although scared, Viscount Wyman threw a punch in Titania's direction, and it successfully landed onto her left cheek, making her fall on the ground.

Viscount Wyman cracked an awkward and unplanned laugh; he must think that it wouldn't end well. If it's the real Titania, she won't fight back, but as Nina, who's been fighting bullies ever since she was a child, of course, she wouldn't let it end with her on the ground.

Titania gathered her strength and punched the Viscount on the face with all her might. Viscount Wyman, who was dumbfounded couldn't react fast, got hit by another punch from Titania.

"You're like a human punching bag!" Titania exclaimed with a huge smile on her face, never minding the pain on her cheek and the blood on her lips.

She continued punching the Viscount until his back crashed onto a tree. He looked frightened as he spits out blood. "I can't believe that I am beating the shit out of you. Am I amazing or what?" Titania took a step forward while smiling happily.

When she was about to kick the Viscount, they heard loud growls coming from the bushes. And in an instant, the Viscount vanished from her sight.

It was too sudden for her to see clearly, but it was as if an unknown creature pulled the Viscount deeper into the woods. "What was that?" she took a deep breath as she felt the sudden breeze touching her skin and making her hair flew.

Titania was left all alone in the middle of the unknown forest, making her hear the rustling of the leaves and the howling of the wind.

"I guess he's just a minor boss. Seeing how weak he is." Titania chuckled.

She scratched the back of her head as she roams her vision. "Where's the way back?"
