Lunch 16

March 14th ,for the occupants, The moon in the preparation room…

"It's actually been thirteen days and the originals have already completed parasitization of seventy to eighty percent of the population area and have gone into their second phase, as for the time discrepancy well that was caused by a time dilation field, very rare and takes an absolutely absurd amount of energy to keep functional. It takes special preparation to both add someone into the field as well as remove them from its containment if they haven't been prepped ahead of time with markers, and even then they need constant updating, they are perfect for coordinating an organized start to THE SHOW as everything can be set to the correct start point at the same time no matter when something has been added to the prep area.", Quirrel circled both Seb and Josiah creating an even wider area around them as it wagged a finger in an admonishing manner, "If you were listening to the others ask their questions instead of chatting amongst yourselves ignoring me you'd have learned this already.".

Seb kept his eyes on Quirrel circling them as he slowly bent down and reached for something at his feet, causing Quirrel to smile even wider as it watched Seb straighten up with the object in his hand, "Well, well, well what do we have here?", Quirrel eyes glowed red as it observed Seb's hand.

"Uhm thanks for answering our question,", Seb spun in time with Quirrel to keep the alien in his sight while extending his hand up, "would you uh care for a muffin? I mad-".

"Yes, yes you made them yourself, carrot and apple muffin if I'm not mistaken? And yes I will partake, thank you Sebastion.", and with a snap of Quirrel's fingers the muffin was pulled out of Seb's grasp catching him by surprise as it flew to Quirrel who proceeded to catch and immediately take a bite, "Hmmmmm you're right when you commented about how moist and flavour full they are.".

"What? I didn't say anything though…", Seb was confused as he replied to Quirrel as he hadn't said or even thought anything about his muffins.

"Well you didn't say anything here that's true, but I've taken an interest in you for a while now and have been keeping tabs over that last little while.", Quirrel was floating away before turning to wink at Seb and finished with some departing advice, "You really should keep a better schedule for housekeeping by the way and not just when you think you might have company haha.", and with a final bite of its muffin Quirrel moved on through the crowd to many new shouted offers of gifts from those it passed, which were all promptly ingored.

Seb looked up at the star above him before looking around to the changing looks of those that stared at him from a distance, many of those looks were outright hostile now but there were a few he could see that had curiosity and even envy on them now that it seemed he was being singled out by Quirrel. Looking back to the alien he caught it glancing back at Seb with what looked like a snicker of mischief.

"Well sh!t it looks like he gave me a target on my back as payment for me giving him my muffin eh Josie?", as Seb finished he looked back at his former apprentice who was busy staring at Seb's lunch bag very intently before being surprised at being addressed and turning a shade of red from embarrassment, this led Seb to ask, "When was the last time you ate?".

"S-sorry for being rude Seb.", Josiah tried to stammer an apology only to receive a lazy wave from Seb indicating him to stop as he reached down to grab an apple out of his bag and take a bite before kicking said bag between Josiah's legs.

"Don't worry about it there's a wrap and a fruit cup in there, no muffin though as I gave our alien abductor my last one. You'll have to make do with a custom sandwich instead of baked goods, but I'm sure you'll power through.", this last was finished with a wink in Josiah's direction. Having Josiah around was helping Seb a bunch mentally take all of this in, and besides Seb always brought extra lunch every day just in case he was sprung with some surprise overtime even though technically that wasn't supposed to happen according to company policy, so it wasn't a hard sell to give his favorite apprentice some considering he looked starving.

Josiah for his part dove in with enthusiasm, "It got pickles?", he asked unwrapping and taking a bite before Seb could even reply.

"Of course, three deli meats as well as spicy Havarti cheese to boot.", Seb replied between bites of his apple as he started to pay closer attention to those who were shouting out questions to Quirrel.

"Those people are asking how they can get past "the wall", what is that? Actually a lot of people are asking that?", Seb asked as he stepped over towards the sitting Josiah and also kicked his large water bottle over crashing it into his lunch bag.

Josiah stopped to take a drink from Seb's bottle before replying, "Well the instant you got zapped away a big grey misty wall surrounded the city that was so high you could see it from ground level running all the way around us. Thanks by the way,", Josiah saluted Seb with his water bottle as a show of thanks earning himself another lazy wave in his direction before he continued, "I never personally made it close enough so I'm not exactly sure what the deal was with it, but that abomination seems eager to continue talking and he was right that we should probably try listening to some of the explanation.", with that he took another drink and turned to fix Quirrel with his attention as well.

Seb for his part turned in Quirrel's direction too feeling much better now that he had a familiar and dependable person by his side at last in regards to his young friend, even if he was a fake knight covered in blood, he wondered if Josiah had any other surprising things about him he would uncover later on?
