March 14th Quirrel's personal streaming lobby
"Well it's unusual.", the mechanical voice coming to Quirrel sounded unsure.
"Unusual?", Quirrel was perplexed by this answer from one of the most skilled doctors assigned to him for his streaming service.
"Yes it's unusual, it seems to be a fate divergence.", Upon hearing the last few words carried out in such a robotic monotone Quirrel's adrenal glands flushed in its real body sitting in its neural link capsule causing it to become giddy and light headed, six of the twenty-one winners of THE SHOW had had a fate divergence and if these findings were true Quirrel might have just hit the jackpot!
Quirrel couldn't even hear what doctor Gloglan had said after this statement as it pulled up the human's information for itself, and upon skimming the opening info it couldn't help but chuckle as it saw a very recognizable face.
"Oh you beautiful human being, how lucky am I to have scouted and picked a divergent fate candidate? Oh Sebastion we are going to make such wonderful content together!", Quirrel was feeling elated after it confirmed who the candidate was and now scrolled down to the information it was looking for in high spirits, but upon getting there its elation immediately changed to confusion… Quirrel couldn't believe what it was reading as it didn't make any sense at all.
"His divergent fate is…negative? How could that possibly be?", he quickly scrolled up to double check Sebastion's age, "He's thirty earth standard years old, he should be dead if this is accurate? Is there a mistake with the equipment?", Quirrel's confusion and years of being a streamer led it to speak tss thoughts out loud, to which he received a response.
"There doesn't seem to be, but I believe we should run it once more with a bit more scrutiny as, like you I'm sure, I don't want to have my name associated with a misleading or incorrect biography.", the voice was matter of fact but hinted at the worry of possibly accounting wrong information to record, one of the worst sins committed against THE SHOW and its viewers.
Quirrel shuddered at the thought instantly removing any excitement it might have had earlier as if it had never been there, "No! No I don't want that either for sure. Rerun the tests please doctor so we can resolve this and move on.", defeated Quirrel cut the link and morosely went back to looking through the candidate information once more dejectedly.

March 14th the moon in examination room 4391's observation dome
Doctor Gloglan sat in a dark capsule with many screens set before it as its main gelatinous body slowly swayed with the fluids that lapped around the room replicating a tidal pool environment. It was feeling uncharacteristically unsure as it looked at the subject of its tests with its three eye stalks, if things went poorly and it was found to be at fault it deeply dreaded what kind of punishment might come to it, putting halt to all of its years of study and achievements. Reaching out with a slightly trembling tendril it depressed the intercom and spoke to its subject of observation.
"THE SHOW candidate Sebastion Donning there has been some form of mistake in regards to the tests you have undertaken, due to this we will have to replicate some of them and this may be uncomfortable. Please bare with me and prepare yourself.", as the doctor finished giving its subject a verbal warning to prepare him for what was about to occur again considering his previous averse reactions, it began the steps to proceed.
After double and triple checking everything and with a glance at the pict screen it reached out and depressed the button to start the test, immediately it could see Sebastion flinch dropping his tool once more and reaching to hold his head in his hands. Doctor Gloglan was too engrossed in watching the data to notice Seb's discomfort, but what he saw gave himself quite a feeling of discomfort.
Right before its eyestalks it could clearly see that under elemental stigma, which itself was a very vague and broad field, he could clearly see only one thing highlighted and it was FATE DIVERGENCE –NUETRAL-- Doctor Gloglan deflated a bit in relief as it reached for the controls to stop the test, but just before it could hit the switch the information on the screen flashed red and then fully disappeared --ZZzzZzZZz-- FATE DIVERGENCE –POSSITIVE+—ZZZzzZZZzZZ--FATE DIVERGENCE –NUETRAL--, its tentacle hovered over the off switch for a moment in shock as it considered what was transpiring before its eye stalks. It took a few moments before it decided to shut everything down again and reached out for the same button that it had only recently used to try and get into contact with the streamer in charge of this batch of candidates.

March 14th Quirrel's personal streaming lobby
Quirrel was feeling absolutely horrible, the crash from its real body glanding so much adrenal fluid due to its excitement backed up by nothing to show for it was making its task that much more tedious. Plus everyone was so…he didn't dare say boring but they definitely didn't peak any interest at all, Quirrel was just skimming a candidate that had a relationship with Sebastion Donning in a work servitude way, but also in a student/familial kind of way according to Quirrel's own observations.
"Josiah Feller you have been quite interesting yourself, you plead for those that are infected but don't hesitate to act against them when they've turned. You plead for safety for all those you've encountered but again don't hesitate to visit violence upon those same people when they try to act violently themselves. That armour you wear is for recreation and yet it has come in handy over that past trials hasn't it? You also have a relationship with Sebastion who I've witnessed act quite aggressively towards others put into his care, and who has put up with your pestering over the past few months, I thought that maybe he was going to be my rising star…but maybe you, yes maybe you can become my new shining star? The one who can bring my stream to new heights and become either a leader or maybe a town holder?", the thought brightened Quirrel's outlook just a bit before a familiar screen flash red again.
"Again?", Quirrel was thoroughly confused, it had expected this to be a simple issue that would have been figured out with another simple round of testing? Reaching out with its thoughts it once again activated the link to doctor Gloglan, "Yes doctor what seems to be the problem?"
There was a long pause before the mechanical voice chimed on giving the distinct impression the one giving the news was assuredly unsure of how to proceed, "I've completed the tests again and the end result was…it was neutral with no detection of stigma at all.".
Quirrel couldn't understand what was going on, if what the doctor told him was true then there was no need at all to personally contact him to inform him, all they would have to do is get a technician to come and recalibrate the sensory equipment, so why was he sounding so unsure?
"The thing is I was supervising the test results in minute detail and unlike the original findings of a divergent fate being negative this…well this one had it flagged as positive+.", Quirrel couldn't understand what was being told to it as it was personally looking through the information in question at the moment and could clearly see that there was no stigma at all referenced or highlighted? Right before Quirrel could interject doctor Gloglan continued, "The fate divergence changed right before I terminated the test, it changed from positive+ to neutral."
And with that statement Sebastion's future became infantilely more interesting.
