The Spread of News, The Sacrifice

At first, the news of the pregnancy began to fester in Ifa-ile. But it still remained unknown how the news got into the village of Ifa-ile; among the people as their gossip of the palace remained what flew everywhere in the air.

Definitely, it was in the belief of the people of Ifa-ile that even the wall has its own ear and so was the case that the discussion of the palace or the event shrouded on the king had easily traveled into the village of Ifa-ile.

If this issue had not gone unpunished, it was a blatant lie as Balogun and the rest of the Chiefs and yet the Elders had called on all the royal slaves. For who had the courage, boldness and the confidence to eavesdrop on them of the palace and spoke of what they said to the people.
