Long before the contemporary times, in the olden days of Africa, every male child born at dusk were used for sacrifice to appeal the witches. Although this act met resistance from the villagers who begged and sought-after salvation from the oppressive tradition of child sacrifice, nonetheless, the practise continued for centuries upon centuries until one very day, when King Oranmiyan, who was unable to produce a male offspring, became fortunate to bear his very first and last Prince. Even though the prince was born at dusk, everything changed when he failed to offer his son's life as a sacrifice as the culture had demanded. The witches grew angry and chaos began.

The Sorcerer's King: ways of the witches

With all the bloodshed that has happened in Ifa-ile majorly among the council of the Chiefs and Elders only because of who will sit on the throne and change his story and yet the story of his generations to come.

The witches who watched the event of the bloodshed had not stopped to watch them closely and at the same time, laughed out loud in evilness. For it had been in their wish and majorly that they were responsible for the hatred of the Chiefs against the Elders and the Elders against the Chiefs and the Chiefs against the Chiefs and the Elders against the Elders.

That each individual of the council of the previous king had only fought for his head and perhaps he shall become yet king.

And so it was obvious yet for Balogun who believed the position of the king belonged yet to him and took it evenly by force. But the fact that the council of the previous king fought a battle does not mean all the Chiefs and Elders were dead.
