6. Love confessions

After Hyo Joo leave, I and mom walking back to my appartment. While walking we talk

"She's pretty and polite. Mom like her"

"Uh?"

"Hyun Jae-ya, I've been live for more than 40 years, I'm pretty good at reading people" mom smile

"But I..."

"No need to doubt about everything. Just doing what your heart feel. Love is complicated but it's good at the same time. It can change a calm boy become anxious, it can change a boy who always run from fighting become a truly man who defends other"

"So mom realized it. I even don't know it at the first "

"Ofcourse I'm your mom and also a woman. And I ever at your age once, so I know how you feel. Hyun Jae-ya just tell how you feel to her"

We arrived at our appartment building

"Mom, can I go out for a while?"

"Ofcourse " mom pat my arm

"Go, get her"

"Thank you mom"

I run as fast as I can, cause I don't know exactly where Hyo Joo lives. I walk ahead to a place we separated last time.

I try to call her

"Hyun jae?"

"Where are you?" I keep running

"I, at the middle of walking to my home. Why?"

"Where?"

"Last place we meet, after that going to the left. But why?"

I run faster and I finally can see her walking at the gang not far for the last time we separated.

"Hyun Jae why you sound in a rush?"

I run to her and hug her from back.

"It's me Hyun Jae. Don't be afraid"

She surprised

"Hyun Jae? What happened?" Hyo Joo try to look at me

"Don't look, cause if you look at me I think I won't be able to say it"  I put my head at her back

"Uh"

"Hyo Joo, I... i... i like you"

After that I let my hug and get down to the ground. Cover my face with both my hands. After saying that I feel really embarrassed. I even hug her first. Normally people will talk first. I'm stupid. My  body act before my brain.

Hyo Joo not say a word for a while. Oh my god, looks like I'm really messed up. What if she think I'm a pervert or a weird person.

I feel warm in my my shoulder

"Hyun Jae. Look at me" Hyo Joo voice so soft

I peek from my arm, I look at her, she get down like my position too.

"Hyun Jae, don't you wanna hear my answer?"

Hyo Joo stand, she grab my hands

"Come on... I can't pull you. If people see us it's quite embarrassing "

I stand faster Hyo Joo let my hands

" actually this is first time for me. So I don't know how to react"

Uh, so this is her first too.

"But if you ask my answer for you, then I'll say  yes"

"What?"

"I said yes, please don't ask me to repeat again. I almost die now..." she cover her red face

I really wanna jump cause I'm too happy, Hyo Joo laughing. I walk close to her and wanna hug her but I withdraw my hands, I'm afraid I'll scare her with my attitude. I don't wanna get dump so fast.

But something I never think happen, Hyo Joo getting closer and link her hands around my waist and hug me. I feel so happy and pat her hair softly.

I holding her hands on the way to her home.

We still so shy to each other. But at the same time our body feel burn just being this close.

"This is my home"

Actually Hyo Joo home is normal. Not to bad or not to good. But if I remember his brother jacket, I almost though they well-off family.

"This is my aunt home. I'll enter dorm tommorow. So before that I'll stay here"

"Oh, so where your house?"

"Hm... it's pretty far from university. Also I received some scholarship, so I must enter the dormitory"

"Wow, really. You just not pretty but also smart. Ah I must be the luckiest guy in the world"

I can see her blushing.

"Stop it. You should go home. It's getting darker"

I and mom sit in the dining chair.

"But mom..."

"It's okay. I don't want to be an old school mom. I want yo be a supportive mom. Beside I feel a good vibe from her. Don't think too much and enjoy all the process. Love is a cure also can grow people become a better human being" mom put some coke and sweet bread for us

"Mom, how about mom and dad?"

Mom just smiling and drink the coke

"I'll tell you another time. You have class tommorow?"

"Yes, one at the morning. Why?" I eat the bread

"Nothing, mom will cook lunch for you. So bring your friends here okay. Also mom missed Song and Bom. All them good?"

"Yes, they really good. Song and Vivi get into same university,  Bom and his new girlfriend enter different university,  his girlfriend go to nurse academy. Also they enter the dorm. They said it's pretty exhausted cause the university a little far from their home. Speak of that Hyo Joo will enter the dormitory too"

"Hm really?"

"Yes, Song and Bom enter the dorm because their home is far. But Hyo Joo enter the dorm cause she gets a scholarship "

"She really a good girl. Hyun Jae-ya, bring her tommorow okay, you can invite Vivi and Bom girlfriend too. More people better"

"Ah, the view is good here" mom look outside the window, we can see lights from car and road lamp"

"Hello, auntie. It's been a while" Song greet my mom

"Song-a... you become taller. Where's Vivi?"

"She going to her faculty gathering. She feel really sad can meet auntie"

"Oh it's okay. Say to her I'll come again"

"Auntie...." Bom hug my mom

"Bom-a.... auntie hear you have a new girlfriend, where's is she?"

"Aa... we just dating 2 months auntie. Also she has a class today"

"Okay... okay"

"And... Where's Hyo Joo"

"Hm, Hyo Joo's friends ask for shift change. She being asked before I invite her. She said I've promised to her first. She say sorry and will come after her shift over"

"Ah it's okay. Let's  sit, looks like auntie will be the prettiest today"

We eat lunch together, mom will back at 3.

"Hyun Jae-ya, Bom-a, Song-a, uncle will back from china today so auntie will back this afternoon. Also Hyun Jae's dad send some gives for you all. University entrance gifts"

Mom hands Bom and Song a big paper bag. Bom and Song open it. It fill with basic necessities like towel, toothpaste, shower bath, shampoo. Also some envelopes.

"Auntie this is...money?" Bom asks

"Eh... really. I'm not checked it"

"There's also a letter "

"To my son friends but I consider you all as my son's too. 😊. This some allowances from your dad. Buy something nice and enjoy your university life. Don't drink too much okay."

"I'll save this up until our first gathering" Bom said

"Ah that's right, we can fully equip then" Song so happy

"Thank you auntie send our regards to uncle"

"Yes, we hope you all doing best at university "

"Hello, oh yes. Okay I'll get ready"

"Hyun Jae-ya the driver will come soon. Bom, Song, auntie wilm pack up. Also auntie make some food for dinner. Take it okay"

Me, Song and Bom escort my mom to the car

"Say my goodbye to Hyo Joo" mom can't wait for Hyo Joo

"Okay mom"

After my mom goes I ask Bom and Song go to Hyo Joo work place. But as soon as we enter

"Are you tricked us?" A guy maybe one or two years older throw something to Hyo Joo.

"But it's can sell if you show your id"

"I'm a 2nd year student at university "

"But still we need your id"

"This, You are irritating me" he throw his I'd

We just look from far

"Thank you sir"

The guy walk out with a girl. The girl wear a mask but Bom quickly recognizes her

" Bora?"

"Who are you why you called my girlfriend?"

The guy asks Bom

"You are Bora right, Jung Bora?"

The girls try to hide behind the guy

"Bom, let's go outside " Song suggests

"I'm sorry but there's something, can we talk outside?" I talk with the guy

"It's already irritating me. But I wonder what happen, and why you keep call my girlfriend " she agree to going out

I give sign "wait" to Hyo Joo. this should be the day I announce that we were dating but a bad things looks like coming to Bom. I doubt at first but I have feelings that Hyo joo will be think same way. I open the mart door and walk with Bom, Song and that people. I never know that some ugly truth will reveal as soon as I go out.
