Meetings

As Filius and Ainz entered the building they were greeted by an average sight of a medieval INN. There were various tables that had people with all sorts of equipment, but to Filius, they all were weak and of very low quality. The adventures themselves weren't better, they were all weak and minuscule, maybe with some training, they could be refined into true warriors.

Ainz, Finius, and Nabe walked up to a bar that was in front of them. As they walked by, everyone was staring at them. People were looking at them everywhere, they were checking out their armor their equipment, and even checking Nabe out.

Ainz had on his dark armor, it consisted of a full-body black armor with golden edges and it had a cape that could allow the user to cover half his body. And his back he had two massive black swords, in Yggdrasil they were great quality swords, they were called great swords.

Nabe unlike her usual self wore a brown cape that covered her neck and went down her body, underneath that she wore a normal white shirt and grey pants. On her waist she had a regular sword, in Yggdrasil conditions, it would be considered average but in the New World, it would be considered of great quality. She didn't wear any of her maid equipment, for her hair instead of a ribbon, she wore a small string that tied her hair into a ponytail.

Filius felt the stares of the perverts and the gazes of envy on him and his family, he didn't like it but he also didn't care.

As they reached the counter of the bartender spoke, "Need a room?", he asked. "Cost ya five bronze pieces each. Meals are gonna-", he was cut off by Ainz.

"I only need the two rooms, thanks. Forget the meals", Ainz said.

The man then checked something on Ainz's chest, it was the adventure plate we received from the guild, "Hm? Oh, you're a low-level copper plate. This place is gonna be too expensive-", once again he was cut off by Ainz.

"It's our first time registering. Unfortunately, they make you start at copper", he told the barkeep.

The man was now irritated for being cut off not just once but twice, he slammed his hand on the counter, "Now it's seven bronze pieces! Payment due upfront."

"That's not a problem", Ainz said as he dropped fourteen bronze coins.

He rented two rooms, one for him and another for Nabe and Filius, the reason for this was that Filius had suggested that he as his father if they were forced to live like poor he should at least have his own accommodations. Filius had asked Ainz that he wanted to be in the other room with Nabe, so he agreed.

The bartender took the coins and then gave them two keys, "The rooms are upstairs in the back."

Ainz picked up the key and his group walked up behind him, as they were about to go upstairs someone stopped them. An adventurer had placed his leg in front of them blocking their path.

Filius looked at the men, it was obvious that they wanted to start something. The thugs just chuckled their faces showed their goofy grin.

"Hilarious", Ainz said, he was not amused by this. He kept walking and lightly pushed the thug's leg out of his way.

The thug got up and stood in front of Ainz, "Hey!", he yelled looking at him in the eyes, "Watch where you're going, you big oaf. How can I work with a busted ankle? Hm?" Filius and Nabe walked up behind Ainz, the thug noticed them but just focused on the female in the group. "Lookie here", he said, Nabe just glared at him, "Perhaps your little vixen can kiss it and make me feel better."

Filius glared at the man and was about to something before he heard a laugh, his father was laughing at the thug's words. "Not even in your dreams", the thugs looked at him thinking that they were still the big dogs, "Your uncivilized behavior is quite amusing. I can't help but laugh."

"What?", the thug in front of him started getting closer and sneered at him.

Suddenly he was in the air, Ainz then grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him three feet above the ground, he only needed one hand to do so. "Look at that. You're not so funny when you can't breathe, are you? Weakling", Ainz then swings him over his shoulder and launched him across the room. The man crashes into a table that a female adventurer was sitting at. Ainz then turned around to the other thugs, "So? Does anyone else have something humorous they want to say about my companion? Because I--"

"AAAAAAAARRRGGGHHH"

They all quickly turned to see who was the one screaming, it was the female adventurer that Filius saw.

She has red hair and tanned skin most likely from the rigorous fighting and traveling as an adventure. She had leather armor covering certain parts of her body and wore normal clothes covering the rest, on her waist she had a belt with pockets and on one side she had her sword.

The girl was walking up to them, "I cannot believe this! What the hell man!?", she yelled at Ainz. "You just spilled my potion all over the floor back there. It wasn't cheap y'know!"

Filius looked at her in astoundment, she was actually yelling at her father, "Potion?", Ainz asked.

"Yeah, that's right", she then looked at the ground with a pained expression, "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting to buy that? I had to skip meals and stop drinking until I could afford it. Took months!" "You better pay for it or things are gonna get ugly", she shouted.

"Excuse me", Ainz spoke, "But I believe these men should reimburse you", he said as he shifted his view to the thugs that started bugging him.

Britta looked at the men, "You really think these drunks can pay me back? I doubt they've ever seen a piece of gold in their life." She then turned to him, "You on the other hand. You're wearing some expensive-looking armor and I'm betting you have a healing potion or two in there." She then started smiling at Ainz, "I'd be happy with getting one of those."

Nabe quickly moved behind the woman, "Actually I do", Ainz said. She was about to attack but Filius hugged her from behind. Ainz noticed Nabe's movements, "Wait! Wait! Here you go", he then handed Britta the potion before Nabe would do something.

"A red potion?", Britta asked herself as she looked at it.

"That makes us even, right?", Ainz asked her.

She looked at him carefully, "Sure. For now."

Britta then started walking away, Ainz turned to look at his group. Nabe was blushing like crazy, "Young lord?"

"Hm?", Filius then looked at how he was holding her, he had wrapped his hands around her waist and they were holding her hands. They quickly moved away, "Sorry..."

"It's okay", she said in a crazy red blush.

Ainz grinned, or that is what he would have been doing if he could show expression. Nabe and his son would be cure together, he really wanted to play cupid but he knew he shouldn't due to his problems.

They all went upstairs and entered Ainz's room, they were going to talk about their next move.

Nabe closed the door after the entered, "Lord Ainz. You shouldn't have to stay in such a small and disgusting place."

Ainz then used magic to remove his helmet, "It's not that bad, Narberal. But the guild doesn't seem to set any member standards. Hopefully, all adventurers don't act like hooligans. Then again, when fighting monsters, brains aren't much of a requirement."

"What are we going to do about the woman that took your potion?", she asked.

"Nothing Nabe", Filius said, "Father did it to get reconnaissance." Nabe tilted her head in confusion, "What would you do when you receive an item that you don't recognize?"

"I don't' know?", she said.

"Well, you would have to take it to someone who did, and let's say that item was rare or valuable? It would attract more attention to us and bring various people to see where can they get it, that's what father did. With this, he could lure out someone important that would want more of that potion", Filius said, "Right, Father."

[He's way too smart, how did he get that result for just that? Ok calm down, just play along], Ainz thought to himself, "Yeah, exactly, though there were a few more things, but your observation was awesome, son."

"Thank you father", Filius said with a bow.

"Incredible", Nabe whispered.

"Now to get back on topic, I have a question to te both of you", Filius and Nabe looked at Ainz. "What are your thoughts about humans? Nabe", Ainz asked.

Nabe turned to her side, "Complete garbage."

[Seriously? Her, too?], he then turned to Filius, "Son?"

"Well, I think they have potential under some circumstances", Nabe and Ainz looked at him wondering where he was going with this. "I've done some research, through the entire birth of the supreme beings and the creation of Nazarick, humans had been the main race to attack us. They had the power to rival some of the supreme beings, but that was in Yggdrasil. These humans seem weaker, but if they were to have proper training and combat experience they could probably form the strongest army if they served us."

"Incredible young lord, your intellect is outstanding", Nabe said.

"Thanks, but this also isn't a good thing. What if there were people who could rival us, if Yggdrasil and this world are linked in some way, there could be items of people who can hurt us", Filius's word created a deep crater in Ainz's mind. True if both worlds were connected them it could mean that there were many dangers here they needed to be wary about.

[I have to be even more careful, Filius is trully incredible], Ainz thought, "So what do you suggest we do son?"

"Father I believe you should suggest that instead of me", Filius stated.

"I insist, I want your opinion", Ainz said.

Filius nodded, "Well, I would monitor all the creatures of Nazarick seeing where they are located and if they are alive or not. We also should be extra careful when we assign missions to creatures of Nazarick, we should send a backup team to look after the team doing the mission, they would not attack or join in battle if things were to go bad they would just watch and then return to notify us what happened. They would be eyes that would tell us what happened."

"Hmm", Ainz thought about it, Filius did have a good plan, he would obviously use this idea when he sends another NPC to do a mission. [He is truly a genius, I'm so proud!], a chibi Ainz cried in happiness. "Great idea son you make me proud", Ainz said.

"Incredible young lord, you truly are master of intelligence", Nabe then became red, [What the hell did I say "master of intelligence", why didn't I say something better?]

Filius smiled at her for that small mistake, "Thank you Nabe."

Nabe became red from the praise, Ainz who was watching smiled, [So Nabe and Filius, maybe...]

"Ok, remember not to call me Ainz, I am now Momon in this city", Ainz stated.

"Of course", Filius and Nabe said.

"Also I will no longer call you Naberal Gamma or Filius. You are now my apprentice Nabe and you are Momon's son Killstag", Ainz said.

Both Nabe and Killstag bowed, "Yes sir!"

"Anyway, we should discuss our plan of action while in E-Rantel", Nabe and Killstag nodded, "Our main objective in this city is to gather knowledge about this new world we've been transported to. In order to obtain said information, we will go undercover as low-level adventurers. We will gain experience by completing quests. With our skills, we should quickly reach the highest ranks of Mythril, orichalcum, and Adamantine. Once there we will be assigned harder quests which should allow us to access the most useful intel."

"Flawless plan my lord. I'm in awe", Nabe said with a bow.

"Its Momon!", he said so she could get it right, "But you're wrong. There is one problem. Our currency is worthless." He lifted up the rest of the currency he had, it literally all fit in his palm. "The majority of our money is gold from Yggdrasil. We can't use it. It would publicly be announcing that we came from somewhere else." Ainz sighed, "And if there are other players that happen to be living in the city, there's no guarantee that they would be friendly towards us."

"Therefore, our first goal is to make ourselves some money! Let's find a job!", Ainz yelled in excitement.

Meanwhile........

A certain red-haired adventurer was looking for an appraiser. She entered a potion shop and was greeted by someone.

"Welcome!", the person said.

That person was a young boy in his teens, his skin was lightly tanned but thanks to his hand you could tell he wasn't a warrior meaning that he was probably a farmer or alchemist. He wore a white shirt and a big brown and dirty waist apron, underneath that he wore a pair of brown pants, his whole outfit was that of a hard-working teen. He had dirty blonde hair that was so long it covered his eyes entirely but even so it seemed that he managed to see through it.

"Ah... Are you Mr. Nphirea Balear?", Britta asked the teen.

"Yes. And how may I help you today, Miss?", Nphirea asked her.

"I need you to appraise a potion for me", she asked.

They appraised it but Nphirea was shocked by the color, so he quickly asked her to follow him and then went to the back of the shop.

In the back of the shop was an old woman working on something when suddenly the door burst open.

"Grandma", Nphirea yelled.

An old lady was in the next room, unlike her grandson, her skin was considerably tanned, most likely from the many years of hard work and harvesting of herbs. She had grey and white hairs from old age and wore a headband to cover it. Both her face and arms were wrinkled, her outfit consisted of many clothes she wore a longe sleeve undershirt and a shirt over it, and on top of that, she wore her alchemist apron.

The old lady was a short stubby woman, he name was Lizzy Balear, Nphirea Balear. As her grandson entered the room she turned around.

"You've gotta see this!", he said as he placed something on the table she was sitting at, it was the potion Britta brought.

"Hm? It's red", Lizzy said.

"What do you know about it?", Nphirea asked.

"First, I need to examine it properly", she said as she lifted her hand above the potion. After a while, Lizzy became shocked by the magical power of the potion.

"So? What's up with it?", Nphirea asked.

Lizzy started laughing loudly, "Tell me, Nphirea. The modern manufacturing process cuases all potions to turn blue, correct?"

Nphirea nodded, "That's right."

"Well, I've never seen anything like it. It's made of pure magic like something from a fairytale. A true potion of healing resembles the color of God's own blood." She looked at the potion once more, "I never believed it actually existed. You are one lucky lady. This is equal to a second-tier healing spell. Easily worth eight gold pieces. But there are risks with having such a rare item. There are people out there who would kill to get their hands on a potion this powerful."

Britta took a step back from hearing that, "I can help though", Nphirea said. "You wouldn't have to worry if you sold it to me."

"But I-", Britta stopped her sentence when Lizzy gave her a weird glare.

Lizzy smiled, "All right. I have another proposition for you."

Back with our protagonists..........

They had just entered a white building, the building was E-Rantel's Guild Building. The place wasn't very high class but it was okay. When they entered they saw a counter to their left which had three secretaries who would help the adventurers that wanted quest or had questions. On the Right were stairs going to the second floor and a few benches. In front of them was an enormous board with multiple papers on it, it was the quest board.

Ainz was currently in front of the board trying to choose a quest.

"Wow. Check out those guys' armor", "Looks quite expensive", "And he's just a copper plate", "Typical rich kid playing pretend. A shiny present from daddy", some adventurers were saying. They were smack-talking the group that had just arrived.

Nabe was growling Filius noticed this and placed his hand on her shoulder, Nabe jolted a bit but relaxed from the young lord's touch. She was happy that she was worthy of being touched by a supreme being.

Suddenly Ainz pulled off a paper and then walked up to the counter where the secretaries were at. He placed the paper on the counter, "Consider this quest done."

The secretary looked at the paper and then looked at Ainz, "I'm very sorry, sir. But you are only a copper plate and this request is looking for a Mythril."

"I'm aware. You'll find me more than qualified", Ainz said.

The secretary looked a little down, "I have to follow the guild's rules."

"The rules are wrong", Ainz stated.

"Guidelines are set for a reason", the secretary said, "Without the requisite experience, you could get someone hurt or worse."

Ainz moved away from the counter and showed the lady Nabe and Killstag, "You see my companions here? She is a third-tier magic-user, and he is a fourth-tier magic swordsman."

"Fourth tier?", "No way that's impossible", "Even third tier is impossible", some people were saying.

He then placed a hand on himself, "I have the skills of a warrior comparable to them. It would be a waste of our talents to accept a mere copper plate quest."

"I understand, but the rules are very clear. I simply can't allow it", the secretary said.

"No problem. You're just doing your job. Sorry if we came across a pompous. Please sign us up for the most difficult quest available in the copper plate field", Ainz asked.

"Yes. Of course. Give me just a moment", the lady nodded and then left taking away the paper that he had brought.

"Hey, Mister, you two could join our adventuring group if you're interested", a man asked, behind him was an entire group of people.

They all left to talk on the second floor in private, they sat down on a long table with multiple chairs.

"Let me introduce everyone. We call ourselves The Sword of Darkness", the man said, it seemed he was the leader of the group.

"I'm Peter Mork, the leader", the man said and he put a hand on his chest. The man had blonde spiky hair and dark blue eyes, his body seemed well built like an adventure's. Under his leather armor, he had a black long sleeve shirt, On his shoulder, he wore bronze shoulder pads, and on his hands, he had a pair of leather gauntlets. On his waist, he had a poach for potions and poisons and on the other side, he held his sword, above his rear he had a dagger.

Peter moved his hand towards another man. "Over to my left is our ranger, Lukrut Volve."

Lukrut, just like Peter, he too had blonde hair, it was long and spiky that he needed a hairband to move it back. Unlike Peter who had armor all over his body to protect himself, Lukrut had it covering only his wide areas. His weapon of choice was a bow and arrow, he had a spare short sword probably for those times of close combat. He wore a red jacket and black pants, on the boots he had gone all the way above his knees.

"He's our eyes and ears in the field", Peter said.

"Ha, hi!", Lukrut waved at Nabe. Killstag saw this and moved forward covering Nabe who was in between him and his father, from the man.

Peter then turned to another man, "Our capable Druid uses magic to heal us and manipulate nature. Dyne Woodwonder."

Dyne was a tall man, he just like the other two men, had blonde hair, he also had a large blonde beard. Just like Peter, he wore armor and his weapon of choice was a mace, he too wore a headband but it wrapped over his forehead and over his hair. He was probably the oldest member of the team from his looks.

"Nice to meet you folks", Dyne said.

"And last but not least is the brains of the operation. Our magic-user, Ninya the spell caster", Peter said.

Ninya was a small boy, he had shirt brown hair and wore a cape with a long neck, he wore a long black sleeve shirt with white shirt over it. He had a bet with many pouches probably holding potions and antidotes, Ninya's weapon of choice was a scepter.

"Hello there", Ninya then looked at her leader, "Peter stop it. I keep telling you that nickname is embarrassing."

Peter smiled, "Why? You know should be proud of it."

"Our Ninya here is a talent holder", Lukrut said.

Ainz and his team were shocked, "Seriously? That's impressive." In this world, that means he was born with a special ability.

"Ninya has a talent called Magic Affinity. He's able to learn magic spells twice as fast as the average caster. Isn't that right?", Peter stated.

"That's amazing", Ainz said.

"It's not like I did anything to deserve this. I'm lucky, but a part of me feels its actually kind of an unfair advantage",

"Such modesty He's a famous talent holder", Peter said.

"He? But she is female", Killstag stated.

Peter and Ninya looked at each other in shock, so did Dyne and Lukrut.

"How do you know that?", Peter asked.

"I have the ability to detect lies and find the truth, that's my magic ability, Lie projection", Killstag said.

"Why would you hide that information?", Ainz asked.

"...well there are many reasons, but the first is that Ninya had to escape her home and act like a boy to protect herself", Peter said.

"....I guess she lived in a village that was ruled by a lord, he must have been evil to force you to escape", Killstag stated, Peter and Ninya were shocked that he could simulate that idea. "And that he is looking for you as you are his property, also from your fear I believe you lost someone due to him am I wrong?"

Ainz was shocked to hear this, his son was way too much, he's intelligent beyond compare, he would have never made a connection like that if he was in his shoes.

Ninya nodded, "Yes, I am a girl and I did run away from my home, the lord that was ruling that land was a cruel person when I was a kid he took my sister away from my family and I never saw her again. I had heard rumors that she was sold off to the slave trade but I never knew if that was true", she said in tears.

"Hmm, I am sorry for that. I did not mean for you to cry", Killstag apologized, "Do you know anything about her, if she's alive or not?"

"No, sadly I don't know anything", she said.

No one said anything for a while until Peter spoke up again, "well...I think we should change topics."

Ninya wiped her tears from her eyes as Ainz nodded at Peter to get his attention, "Let's here out your request", Ainz asked.
