The Swords of Darkness & Fiancé?

"I'm sure you're wondering why we need your help", Peter spoke up, "Our current objective is to destroy all the monsters that have wandered too close to the city."

"You were hired to hunt monster?", Ainz asked the leader of the team.

Peter shook his head, "Not really. It's actually an off-the-books expedition that we decided to take on by ourselves."

Ainz was confused a bit, "What does that mean?"

"We aren't exactly hired to do it but the guild will receive money from the city based on the strength of the monsters we defeat. We just have to collect our reward from the guild", Peter clarified to the confused Ainz.

Dyne was the next who spoke, "Its a dull, but necessary task for us adventurers."

"The job is pretty easy and we get to keep people safe, while also bringing home the tasty bacon", Lukrut stated. "It's totally a win-win situation for all parties involved."

"So you interested in joining us?", asked Peter as the three of us looked at him. "Our plan is to start clearing out the forest just south of the city and working our way north." He then looked at us, confident that we would join, "So? Whadaya say? The experience will help you rise above a copper plate."

Ainz nodded his head, "Sure we're happy to come along."

The swords of darkness team were all happy and laughing that a strong group would be joining them, Filius thought that the group might have been excited for having stronger recruits.

"One thing. I should show you all my face since we will be working together", Ainz said as he grabbed his helmet, "I hope it's not a shock."

When Ainz said he would remove his mask Filius and Nabe were stunned thinking that he wanted to show his true appearance to the humans. Their shock subsided when they saw the illusion that Ainz had made in order to fool the team.

"Oh, interesting. I've heard of a country south of here where a face like yours is common, but you're the first I've met in person", Peter stated.

"He's older than I expected", Lukrut whispered to his friends, but it was still loud enough for Filius and the others to hear.

"Don't be so rude", Ninya said.

"Killstag, you too", Ainz said as put on his helmet. Filius nodded and grabbed his ninja ask and exposed his face.

"Wow", everyone was shocked, The swords of darkness were at awe when they saw Filius's face. He was a young man with long brown hair and a perfect jawline, he was the most handsome man they had ever seen. If they ever saw Filius in the street they could've mistaken him for a noble.

Filius put back his mask and remained silent, he didn't care for how good he looked, to him, what mattered most was his family and plans.

"We've been hiding our faces since we came to town. Sometimes people have issues with foreigners. And I didn't want to stir up any trouble", Ainz stated.

Then Lukrut raised his hand up, "Just out of curiosity, what kind of partners are you guys exactly?"

The rest of the swords of darkness group groaned knowing what he really wanted to ask.

"We're allies", Ainz said.

Filius knew what Lukrut wanted, so how he didn't know why he knew, but he wrapped his arm around Nabe's hip, "She's my betrothed."

Lukrut went silent, he silently backed down. Ainz and Nabe just looked at Filius in shock, but the rest of the swords of darkness were happy.

"Congratulations!", Dyne cheered.

"That's great", Peter cheered.

"That's awesome, how long have you been together", Ninya asked with a happy tone.

Filius scooted in closer causing Nabe to blush a cherry red, "We've been together ever since she became my father's apprentice."

"Father?", Peter asked. The whole group then looked at Momon.

"This man is my father", Filus said as he pointed at Momon.

"And she's my fiance", Filius said as he held Nabe's hand.

Lukrut sat down in sadness, but the rest of his team was happy.

Ainz was still shocked by what Filius told the group, but he had to keep his composer. After a while of more talking, they decided to finally leave and start the expedition.

As they were talking and walking down the stairs they were interrupted by someone.

"Mr. Momon?", a woman asked, she was wearing an outfit of the guild secretary. She had a pink dress with a red top, on her head she had a pink headband with two ribbons on the back.

The group that Ainz and Filius were in stopped and looked at her, even some of the other adventures looked at her.

"Someone specifically requested you for a job", she said.

"Do you know who asked for me?", Ainz asked.

"Yes, Mr.Nphirea Balear", she said as she signaled for someone to come. From within the crowd walked a person entering the view of everyone.

Nabe was about to walk forward but Filius quickly grabbed her before she could do something that made them expose their cover.

"Young Master", she asked in a whisper.

"Don't do anything reckless, stop and think before you act", Filius whispered.

"Sorry, won't happen again", Nabe said as she held her head.

Filius sighed and went to pet her head, "It's okay, just remember not to overreact to harmless situations."

"Hello there", said the boy who had walked up to them. "I'm the one that specifically requested you."

Ainz rose his hand, "I'm sorry to disappoint. But we have already accepted another position. Perhaps after we have finished this job we can help you."

Peter quickly spoke, "Don't be ridiculous! This could be big for you!"

"I agreed to join up with your group. What kind of a man would I be if I did not keep my word?"

"But, it's a personal request", Peter interjected.

"Okay. How about this: I will listen to Mr.Balear's proposition, and then make my choice", Ainz suggested.

Everyone nodded and then they all decided to listen to what Nphirea wanted.

Nphirea nodded and started walking up the stairs, Filius stopped his father, "I think you should talk to them, me and Nabe will be out here waiting for you." He then whispered something, "Just in case."

Ainz nodded and headed with the rest upstairs while Nabe and Filius remained below.

Nabe and Filius waited downstairs, both of them were seated down on a couch. Filius was reading seated down and was looking through his skill set in his mind.

He was connecting some of his spells, elemental magic like fire and wind. The combination was (Wind wave + Flame combustion) making it into (Flame wave). Next, he combined Grass, Wind, and Water spells. (Wind surge + Water spear + Flower acid) this created (Acid spear shot).

He then noticed something from the corner of his eye, he made another combination. Ice, water, and earth magic the combination was (Freeze + earth manipulation + create water) and it made (Ground ice spikes).

Filius sighed and stopped what he was doing, "Are you going to ask me or are you gonna keep staring at me?" He asked, Nabe was shocked by this.

".....I wanted to ask....why did you tell them that young master?", Nabe asked.

[She must be speaking about the lie that I said], Filius thought, "Well ...because... I want that", he said in a nervous tone.

"Wait! What!?", Nabe shouted.

"Shhh", Filius said, "Quite"

"Y-young master? Why would you ask me that? Someone like me?", Nabe asked.

"Look the reason is more complicated then you think, I'll tell you later. When there are fewer ears", he said

"Yes young master", Nabe said.

After they were finished, Ainz and the whole team had just finished their talk as well.

Ainz approached his team and then Filius spoke, "So what's the plan?"

"I have decided to take the request, while we help Mr. Balear while he picks some herbs. We will be joined by the sword of darkness since they will help more in the protection", Ainz told Filius.

Filius nodded and they all went to get prepared, Nphirea went to get her carriage ready while the rest went to get stocked up on equipment. After everyone was ready they all met at the south gate. There was a giant wall there with a massive metal gate, luckily it was open and there were a few people entering and leaving the city.

After exiting the city they were met with a beautiful scenery of the grassy plains. It was probably like that all around the wall in order to prevent any armies from sneaking upon them.

After leaving the gate they had their chat once in a while. Filius went to Nabe and whispered to her, "I this is a good place to talk to you."

Filius placed his hand on her shoulder and activated new magic, it was a new communication spell he invented.

[Hey hello can you hear me?], Filius asked Nabe in his mind.

[Young master? Yes, I can hear you], Nabe said in a surprised tone.

[Good, I wanted to talk to you about before], Filius said. [You know that my father is the last of the supreme beings, and I'm his one and only child. The problem is that my father hasn't spoken of any plans on having more children or on spreading the supreme blood]

Nabe looked saddened a bit, [True, lord Ainz is the last supreme being, and you are his only heir, but what does that have to do with what you said before.]

[You see...I am worried about our legacy if father doesn't want to have many heirs then that responsibility is up to me], Filius stated.

[Young Master...], Nabe was worried for his master, it might have been from seeing all the responsibility he had to take on.

[Then comes the next problem], Nabe paid attention at what Filius was saying. [My father is the only one worthy or that should have the privilege of taking the highest-ranked servants as his concubines or wife. That means that I am not allowed to touch either Albedo or Shaltear since they could bring stronger heirs. So that leaves...]

[Us The Pleides...], Nabe stated.

[Yes, I knew that the only way to create an heir and do it while respecting my father I must choose another to spread the supreme blood line], Filius said.

[Wait what about lady Arua?], Nabe asked.

[Uh...she is still way too young to be able for that], Filius stated.

[My lord, I humbly take this resposibility], Nabe said in some glee.

Filius quickly grabbed her hand, [Now listen carefully. I do not want you to do this as a job or request. What I want is that you and I have a child but not just as an object, but as a family. This child should not be born on creed or obligation, but with love and kindness this way he will think of Nazaric and it's prosperity], Filius said as he placed his forehead on hers.

[Ok then... young master], Nabe said with a small smile.

[I also want you to inform your sisters that the same with be with them. I want to make sure we have multiple children that can bring a better future for all of Nazaric and this world we will soon conquer], Filius said as he kissed Nabe on the cheek.

Nabe smiled and grew a bright red, [Yes, my lord.]

Nabe and Filius continued walking together as they held hands together. Lukrut was even more depressed as he saw them being all lovey dovey.

"Killstag, Nabe we will be resting here a while", Ainz said.

Filius and Nabe nodded at Ainz, they then prepared for their stay in the outdoors. They let the horse off the carriage so it could drink some water and rest.

The whole team was making sure that the area was clear, Peter then looked at the additional trio and Nphirea, "Enjoy this. Things will get a little dangerous from here on out."

"Don't worry about us. We'll be careful", Ainz said. He then turned behind him and looked at Nabe and his son, they were both talking about something, but he didn't want to be a bother so he stayed seated.

Lukrut looked at Nabe who was talking to Filius and he became something he never was, a little jealous. "Try not to look so worried, Nabe. Everything'll be fine as long as I'm here. I'm the best set of eyes and ears this side of the Re-Estize Kingdom, Don't be shy. You can praise me", Lukrut said jokingly.

"Can I squash him yet?", Nabe whispered to Filius.

"Nabe", Filius said, he then looked at Lukrut, "Thank you for worrying about her, but please be assured I am more than enough to take care of her. Also, she is a capable woman, I know", he said with a small smirk, he was purposely stating that she wouldn't care to be with him. Lukrut groaned and backed away a little before he turned to see his team glaring at him.

Ninya stopped glaring at her teammate and looked at the trio, "You know, I just realized something. We've crossed into the Wise King of The Forest's territory."

Ainz, Filius, and Nabe now paid attention to what she said. "Who is this (Wise King)?", Ainz asked.

"It's a very old and powerful magical creature. At least that's what legend says", Nphirea stated. "Not only can it cast magic, but it's physically strong. And if it's four razor claws don't finish you off, its snake tail will"

"Interesting. I think I'd like to meet it", Ainz said.

After a while of more resting and talking everyone decided it was time to move on. As they were gathering up everything Ninya and Ainz spoke about creation magic and its capabilities. When suddenly...

"I just realized. You always seem super relaxed, Nabe. Is it because you know that I'm keeping you safe?", Lukrut asked.

Nabe glared at him, "It has nothing to do with you. I'm with Killstag!"

Filius stepped forward in front of Nabe, "Please stop bothering my fiance, I would rather appreciate it."

"So would I", Nabe asked.

Peter came and punched the back of Lukrut's head, "I'm sorry. He can be really idiotic sometimes. Please forgive him. I promise he doesn't mean any harm by it."

"It's fine. As long as he's careful from now on. We'll have no trouble", Ainz stated.

"You really need to stop delving into people's business", Peter was then cut off by Lukrut shushing him.

Lukrut started looking around, "They're on the move."

Peter started looking around too, "Where?", he asked.

They looked at the forest's border and they all noticed a huge group of goblins and ogres. The goblins all had petty equipment, some had chipped swords and old leather armor while the ogres had a massive club and no armor.

Lukrut pointed at the forest, "Just past the tree line." He then said, "I don't think we'll be able to avoid this fight."

"It's going to get rough real quickly, the best thing you can do is stay hidden in the cart", Peter stated.

"Kay. My life is in your hands", Nphirea

They decided that a strategy on how to attack, the Nazaric trio would be the front runners while the swords of darkness would protect the cart and bring support.

"Here we go", Lukrut aimed his arrow at the goblins but somehow it didn't even reach. Filius looked at the scene with shock, was he really that useless.

"Fell for it!", Lukrut said and then he pulled the string back and shot a goblin in between his eyes.

"Reinforce armor", yelled Ninya as she used magic to buff Peter's physical resistance up.

"Now, Time Plant!", shouted Dyne as he placed his hand on the floor and used earth magic. A plant root grew to an enormous size and wrapped around a few of the ogres and goblins trapping them.

As they The Swords of Darkness were getting ready for the fight they noticed the Nazaric trio walking forward.

Ainz was the one who walked up forward, he stood tall in front of the goblins and ogres. He then pulled out his two giant swords, just one of then looked like a two-handed greatsword, but he held them in one hand as if it was a stick.

Filius and Nabe stood back to spectate what Ainz would do.

When one of the ogres was close and tried swinging at him, Ainz made a high jump the air and swung his sword down. The sword cut through the ogre's body like a fruit.

"Holy...", Lukrut said in shock.

He wasn't the only one in shock, Peter was shocked too, "He's stronger than I thought. Could he be orichalcum or maybe adamantite level?"

Ainz looked at the floor and then at the other ogres, when he looked at them they all took a step back. "What's wrong? Afraid to attack me?", his taunt managed to get the ogre angry and it charged at him. He quickly charged at him and sliced through the ogre's belly, he then stood up and looked at the goblins and ogres, "who's next?"

Some of the goblins were too scared to take him on, they decided to avoid him as the rest of the ogres took him on.

"Here they come!", Peter yelled as he was attacked by one goblin. He used his shield to block the goblin's sword and he jabbed it in the chest. The from behind him Lukrut shot a goblin beside the first goblin. Suddenly a goblin tried sneaking up on Peter, but it was intercepted by Ninya's magic arrow. Then more goblins tried to attack them, but the whole team stood their ground.

"They're a skilled party. They're careful to watch one another's back", Filius stated.

"Still, they don't hold a candle to your uncles, Filius", Ainz whispered. Two more ogres went charging at Ainz and both, with one slice, were both killed.

Thats when the goblins and ogres finally realized that they were no match for Ainz and the others. "Nabe, Killstag, your turn", Ainz said.

"Yes", they both said in unison.

Nabe charged at the monsters and shot a magic lighting bolt at them which kill them instantly. Then Filius charged forward at 2 ogres and 3 goblins that were running away. He grabbed his katana and with one single swipe, he sliced the heads of all the monsters. He then stood up straight and swiped his sword and threw all the blood that was covering the blade. Thanks to his swords rarity, it was a legendary rank item so he didn't have to worry about it not being able to cut through most things.

Filius turned to see how Nabe was doing, but when he saw her he was stunned. He saw her and she looked like an angel, maybe an angel wasn't the word. Rather she looked like the angel of death, she would be the last beauty you would see before you felt her deadly embrace. [She looks beautiful], Filius thought.

After a while of more fighting then managed to get rid of every single ogre and every goblin.

"Whew, that was tough", Peter said as he was resting on the grass. Dyne walked up to his two teammates and started healing them up with his magic.

Ainz, Filius, and Ninya were removing the loot off of the goblins and ogres, "Are the ears valuable?", Ainz asked.

"Not on their own, but you can exchange them and other parts for a reward from the guild. It's pretty lucrative", Ninya stated.

"So crystals or rare trinkets don't just randomly drop from them?",

"To be honest I've never heard of ogres carrying crystal or trinkets", Ninya stated.

"I see", Ainz said.

Nabe was with Filius as he was picking up some of the leather armors and weapons that were still good. Nabe was curious about it so she spoke, "Young...I mean killstag, why are you picking those up?"

"Well, one day when we need human currency, we can sell these useless items and make some extra cash", Filius said.

"Oh, your knowledge is truly amazing youn- I mean Killstag", Nabe said in her monotone.

"Hehehehe, you still need to work on that", Filius joked.

Nabe didn't get what he meant so she tilted her head a little.

After a while of picking up the loot, the whole team was talking about how Ainz was amazing in the fight. Filius was happy that his father was acknowledged by these people as being one of the strongest people in the country. Filius knew that this world was full of things he needs and wanted to discover, anything could happen here. Good as well as bad.

Filius looked at the sky, [I need to get stronger, Nazaric needs to get stronger...I'll make it happen. I swear.]
