Chapter 13: Dance
After General Tomb's eyes left him, Vis escaped as far as possible. He ran past many beasts, trees, and roads amidst a snowstorm that had been another enemy he needed to deal with.
As Vis felt safe enough, he exhaled heavily, "Good that he didn't bother with me much…"
That general wasn't someone Vis could go against and an escape away from him felt just right.
Rather than thinking of such obvious things, Vis thought more about the general's appearance here. Why would he appear and what was his reason?
It didn't seem like such a general would appear here just to protect the city and from what Miku told him, such calamity couldn't be predicted that easily…
Even if the empire wanted to help their citizens, they wouldn't send such a person, but someone with less rank.
"I should assume that he is after me…" The Fifth Prince's body was something that the empire would leave to the general's hands.
If they were here to take him back, then Vis could only pay more attention to his surroundings while being in the Merthic Empire's territories.
If they had another reason, then Vis would either learn it through rumors or just become an insignificant part of it if it were something not related to him.
Either way, Vis had decided to stay vigilant and cover his looks more.
He glanced at his hand that no longer held any black energy, "I felt like I could go for more zombies… The limit had yet to be reached and those soldiers were amazing people in their prime… It seems like the fifth wasn't that useless and worthless."
Since the worst had passed, Vis focused on the positives he found during that reckless treasure hunt.
His body had a boundless sea of energy as the zombies continued to pop off after he got the hang of this ability. This was a feat worthy of admiration, but Vis was just genuinely happy he finally got the proper means to grow.
He also wasn't bothered by summoning abilities as he just got a lot of armors from the soldiers.
Those armors had something within them that piqued his interest. It was a fantasy feeling that Vis was foreign with, but he knew that he would be able to advance his Titan Bloodline through these armor pieces.
It would be his own strength!
"People die each second, so I shouldn't be that worried about lack of strength… I can always just find new dead bodies or do the worst…" The worst was going to the graveyard to collect dead bodies, turn them into zombies, then collect those into his black book.
Vis licked his lips and activated this very black book.
His second undead, Miku, appeared with big eyes flashing at him. She blinked at waited for others as if clueless and unaware of her own being.
It was often like that, so Vis decided to help her a little, "Do you know how dullahan can advance?"
"I don't know, Master," Miku replied.
Since there weren't any people to feed on through dreams, Miku was totally lost and patiently waited for any order.
Vis smiled and told her, "Dullahan is known as a rider. He has his own horse, armor, and lance. The highest-ranked Dullahan has those three things checked and raised to the strongest level. Think about it while you have nothing to do."
"I will, Master," Miku nodded.
Her master wanted her to think about higher levels so that maybe her blue mist would somehow advance and become an armor or lance. She also told him that her tribe had necromancers who could summon ghosts through dreams and that they had compatibility with this 'race'.
If she could summon ghosts as dullahan and get dreamy armor, then Vis would get stronger in the process.
"Show me Daydream now." Vis rubbed his hands with a wide smile as he said it.
His second servant tilted her head, then summoned the bed that was filled with many armor pieces. Some armor was also usable and could be sold on the black market as any normal means would notify the empire!
Vis laughed out like a kid while seeing all those pieces, "Haha! So nice!" He was like a kid that got his promised toys!
The foreign and fantasy feeling immediately sprouted within him and he began to examine the first piece by grabbing it tightly.
By feeling more of it, Vis unconsciously began to create a strange connection with his bloodline.
The Soul Collector also said that he had skills related to the titan army, but what was an army with a weak general?
In this world, one slash could change the tides just like General Tomb had done earlier!
No way the special ability of Titan God's bloodline would leave him weak!
Vis believed highly in that, then he found knowledge flooding his mind straight from the bloodline!
This new surge of the information left Vis alone in the world.
Not too far away from him, Miku had been also in her own world now that she began to think more of dullahan class.
On her hand, a blue mist began to slowly appear. It crept its way to her wrist, then became a thin glove that nobility ladies would wear outside and at the parties.
She could use this blue mist even before becoming dullahan, but it was different now that she became one!
Miku just became a totally different person and so her abilities took a turn.
Similar to the second servant, Vis' body also took a small change.
His skin became silver, looking like metal!
This skin seemed tough with one glance and one would also feel impressive hardness upon deeper look as it was one of the royal abilities.
It was a known ability in this chaotic world and people would recognize 'Silver Skin' with glance alone.
But those who were unaware, just like Vis, would slowly learn about its prowess…
"The fifth has never seen the royal skills nor participated in real battles… But this skin.. is powerful. I like it." Vis knew how to throw punches, so this ability made things easier for him.
He also added half-jestingly, "I thought I would get some height with the first Titan Ability, but this is something like hardening instead? I wish I could learn more about Titans."
Although Vis already had a nice information source, he still yearned for more which was common in humans' case.
He then glanced at Miku and exclaimed, "Ohh!" His second servant also got something on her hand!
Vis leaned down and slowly reached for her hand while Miku focused on her own world.
"Hhhh!" The glove was so sharp that just touch enough tore a little of Vis' skin! He didn't use his silver skin, so a little blood leaked out of his fingers.
He sucked a lot of air, then exhaled softly.
A silver skin then permeated his hand and he repeated the move!
Crack!
A faint cracking sound could be heard!
"Master?" Miku woke up and glanced at him. She didn't know what was going on, but her master's hand was silver and bloody, so questioning was a natural course of events.
Vis just faintly smiled, "Have you ever danced?"
"I… think I have…" It was a faint memory and she couldn't associate herself with it.
Vis understood, "Would you like to learn then? We can go from basics." Vis stood up, his second servant following him.
"Since you don't have anything to do, we might learn some dance basics." Vis knew she had lost a lot of things, so it was a way to help her become a new person and take joy in it.
He was the person who killed her, but Vis' request also had given birth to the current second servant!
"Hold my hand." Vis reminded.
"But it keeps cracking, Master," Miku looked below.
"That's the point." Her master just smiled and both of them began to dance amidst the snowstorm.
Of course, Vis also wanted to have great company on his journey in another world.
Miku would never betray him and he would die out of loneliness if she were to be another undead that waited for orders!
Thus, they had spent some time dancing before setting off to Miku's homeland.
