Chapter 129

Bruce Wayne, wearing a black suit, walked toward the seat in front of the Bat computer. Sitting down, he quickly logs into an unknown account, the surveillance footage of all around the world popping up. Narrowing it down to the Titian Island, scanning for the man who bowed to him while he was visiting the tomb of the Titian. He may seem like a man who came to visit the grave of heroes, but something about him felt extremely wrong, and his nerves were telling him that man was dangerous. In his 38 years of living, his gut has never betrayed him.

The computer quickly found the man, scanning it. Many other footages started popping up of the man caught by other surveillance cameras. Bruce ignored them for now, trying to find any record of the man, but he couldn't find any. This was already a big red flag. Either he is an alien, like Kendra Saunders, or managed to stay off the grid for more than 30 years, assuming that's how old he is.

Doing more digging, Bruce found something strange. "Surveillance first caught him in space, 3 days ago. He came to earth the same day the Titians were killed..." He trailed off, staring at the picture of the red-haired titan on his computer screen. "I need to dig deeper and not draw conclusions."

With a ding, Barbara walked out of the elevator. She was wearing tight blue jeans, allowing all her curves to signed through, and a baggy blue shirt with a blue Bat Symbole. "Oh, you are here, Bruce?" She asked, noticing him doing some research on his computer. "From the way you are dressed, I would assume you just came from a business meeting."

"Yes, I had to meet up with Luna. She tried to buy my Wayne Aerospace branch, saying I am not using it to its full potential." Bruce explained, his attention split between watching the surveillance footage of the redhead man and his conversation with Barbara.

"That hag." She groaned, standing behind Bruce to see what he was doing. Her relationship with Luna has been toxic since the first day they spoke. "She doesn't know you already have a full scan of the solar system. And I bet she is still wearing those thousand dollars makeup to hide her wrinkles." She finished in a mocking tone.

"I don't think so. It looks like she finally decided to do some plastic surgery." Batman said, causing Barbara to let out a chuckle.

"Of course she will." She mumbled, leaning in, and pushing up her glasses, to see what was on the computer screen. "Another criminal?"

"No. Someone that caught my eyes." Bruce said, noticing another surveillance footage of the man in the Titian Island right before their death and Toronto right before the Toronto massacre. It can't be a coincidence.

"This information-"

"We need more information. Don't jump to conclusions." Bruce cut of Barbara in a condemning tone. He turned to her, "Based on this one experience I had, jumping to conclusions is always really stupid. You should know that too."

"I was pointing it out, not jumping to a conclusion." She mumbled under her breath, turning away from Bruce's gaze.

Bruce ignored her remark, standing up from his chair. Walking toward where the Batmobile was parked, he tapped his chest, causing a nano-tech Batsuit to grow from his chest, covering his entire body in less than five seconds. Barbara looked at this in surprise, this being the first time see nanotech.

"Make one for me too." She shouted, running beside Batman, inspecting the suit closely. "Pretty please? Would you?"

"I was planning to." Batman said, entering the Batmobile. "Stay here for mission control."

A big smile grew on Barbara's face, hearing Batman's response to her getting an armor similar to his. 'With that suit, I won't have to waste time suiting up whenever there is a crime.' She thought, already imagining the day she would get the suit. "Black and gold. Damn, I can't wait!"

[Barbara, focus] Batman's voice came through the Batcomputer, snapping Babara out of her daydream.

"Okay." She said, doing a flip and landing on the chair in front of the Batcomputer. 'I am really grateful to Masaru... Don't worry, I will find the person that killed you and bring them to Justice.'

~~~~~~
Luna laid on a white couch in a huge library, reading a book about demons. She wore only a bathrobe, which did little to cover up her voluptuous body. In front of her is a glass coffee table with eleven other books on demons, a glass of coffee, and a box of cube sugars. A Chandelier hung from the ceiling above her, letting out a dim light that only illuminated the area around her, living the other part of the huge library pitch black. From the darkness behind her couch, a red Bat symbol glowed, the silhouette of an armored man appearing.
"I told you never to visit me again. Please, make your way out." Luna said in a low voice, slamming her book shut and sitting up. "Your presence disgusts me."
"I am here to interrogate you." Batman said, taking note of the books she was reading.
She narrowed her eyes at him, letting out a small laugh. "Batman, don't waste any of both our times." Placing her book atop the other piles of books, she began to stand when Batman spoke once more.
"I would convince Bruce to give you some of his Aerospace branches." He said, causing Luna to pause.
"Don't think that is enough to bribe me. I am not that cheap." She growled, her face showing a different reaction. The last time Batman made a deal with her, a deal to ask Bruce to give her half the share of Wayne Entertainment branch for Frost International's full support in stopping Brainiac's invasion, he pulled through with it.
"A 10% share." Batman said, already knowing what Luna was thinking. His years as a detective weren't for nothing.
Luna sat back down on her couch, taking a spoon and pouring multiple spoons full of sugar into her teacup. "Since you are insisting, go on." She said, taking a sip from her cup.
"Do you know who this is?" He asked, throwing a picture that landed perfectly on the table in front of Luna.
The picture showed a handsome silver-haired man in a luxurious black suit, floating above the White Manor, with a green glow around him. This is one of the two footage he was able to get off the second intruder that came to Earth with the red-haired man. The second one being him floating above Toronto with a menacing smile on his face. This man gave off a strange yet familiar vibe. A vibe he never will mistake for someone else. The Justice League's first official enemy, the killer of Barry Allan, a menace to the human race, Rick Brandon, AKA, Carnage.
"Oh." That was all Luna could let out, leaning forward to look at the picture.
Batman noticed the slight change in Luna's expression and tone, causing him to begin walking. "Tell me who he is." He asked in a dry tone.
"Ans I said, I don't know who this man is." Luna seethed, her grip on her teacup tightening. "Please, excuse yourself."
Batman had had enough. He had never been against interrogating anyone he finds suspicious, so why should this woman, who is clearly holding dangerous information, be speared. Just as he was about to enter the area, the light shines on, a red blur shot through the darkness, reaching him in an instant. The figure didn't slow, throwing a heavy kick at his head, which he quickly blocked. The force was strong enough to for the red area of his suit to glow to its brightest, indicating that the suit absorbed enough kinetic energy to rival a heavy punch from Superman.
He quickly jumped back, using the time to get a clearer look at the figure. It is a fare-skinned young woman with straight waist-length black hair tied in a ponytail and glowing red eyes. She was dressed in a long maid uniform with silver cross necklaces.
'A maid whose kick can match the power of a strong punch from Superman? Who is she?' Bruce mumbled, quickly running a scan of her face through the system. The closest match was of a girl living in England, which he decided to check out later.
"Batman, I don't want to make enemies out of the Justice League. No one wants to." Luna stated, adding more sugar to her tea. "So, please, let's end our conversation here. I don't need your offer, so take it and leave."
Not wanting to take on an unknown opponent, who is clearly as strong as Superman, Batman decided to Backdown. "I will be leaving."
"Show him his way." Luna said, taking a sip of her tea.
The maid bowed, her eyes turning from glowing red to blue. She gestured for Batman to follow, leading the way out of the mansion. Batman followed quietly behind her, examining the unknown maid in front of him.
After they left the library, Luna threw the teacup on the ground, the cup shattering. She looked down at her shaky palms, balling them into a fist.
