Chapter 151

[Some minutes before Impulse Evolution]

If one were to describe Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg through the many parallel worlds that existed, they would all say he was annoying.

He put on an unamused smirk, and his voice came out dry. "Not that I could blame them for thinking such things…I don't exactly try my hardest to disprove them otherwise."

Then again, he was someone who was given the highest regard and respected thanks to his use of sorcery. He didn't exactly need to do much to get that respect.

He was one to start trouble wherever he went. If it gets out of hand, he could resolve it with a mear flicker of his finger. On the other hand, if he is interested in knowing how such conflicts would go, he would stand idly on the outside and observe.

Such was his fate.

"And what a weird fate it is. An old ancient vampire with too much time in his hand." He spoke once more to himself, "If not for my ability to travel to the other worlds, I swear I would've killed myself out of the monotony and boredom. Only the chaotic nature of the other parallel worlds can entertain me nowadays."

Unfortunately, he was very annoyed, something he hadn't felt in quite a while. The world he loved watching has turned dry. The Holy Grail is just a repeat of the same outcome carried out by different peoples. The one who brings him, his granddaughter Arcueid Brunestud, isn't as fun as she was some years back. That's why he came here. Fuyuki City. The place where the biggest magical he ever sensed, the one that spread through entire Japan, emanated. A very unique energy. One that he knew would bring him some fun.

"Where are you..." He uttered, scanning the city from his position at the roof of the tallest skyscraper. He could use his second magic to travel back in time and find the owner once they released the energy, but what fun would that be.

His eyes landed on a short golden hair boy with both his arms on the ground beside him, separated from his body. He laid in an alleyway, his presence protected by a strange aura. Zelretch didn't know who did such a cruel thing to the boy, and he didn't care to check. With a wave of his hand, a green jewel appeared, which shot towards the boy.

"That should do." He said to himself, walking over the edge of the skyscraper, a rift opening, and he entered.

He appeared inside a spherical, jet-black room, dotted with points of light resembling stars. In the center of the room floats an extravagant, wooden chair with a book with the size and thickness of an encyclopedia hovering in front of it. He walked forward, and as he sat on the chair, an unsettling feeling came before him. One he knows too well.

"A new Ancestor..." He let out, a slight smile coming to his face. He hated the Dead Apostle, even though he was one himself. They are all cruel beings who see themselves to be above humans. Monsters who will slaughter humans for their path to Immortality. Especially the Dead Apostle Ancestors.

But he couldn't deny the fact that they were the ones who brought him entertainment. Their savagery and unreadability were fun to watch. It is especially fun watching them suffer and beg for their lives when in the presence of Arcueid, Shiki, Ciel, or Lorelei.

"I guess I am finally going crazy." He said to himself, closing his eyes.

He found himself sitting on his throne atop the second of the 27 pillars. All the other 27 ancestors were here. At least the 18 that are alive. Even the mysterious Zepia Eltnam Oberon, commonly known as Night of Wallachia, was here. After all, this was a rare occurrence. In 300 years, no Ancestor has risen without killing their former master, the last being Michael Roa Valdamjong. Of course, everyone would like to know who this newcomer is. Well, except for Forest of Einnashe, who is currently sleeping.

The 19th tallest pillar started to tremble as cracks appeared on it. Zelretch paid close attention as the shell crumbled and fell, revealing a pillar made of muscle that constantly torn and repaired itself. It quipped Zelretch 's interest. After all, each of your pillars represents your True Blood ability. For example, Nrvnqsr Chaos pillar is 666 different animals covered in black shadow stacked on top of each other. Enhance pillar is plain due to his lack of supernatural abilities of other Ancestors. Looking at this pillar, Zelretch could already guess the ability deals with regeneration.

Atop the 19th pillar, multiple beating muscles combined to form a throne, where a dark shadow appeared. From what Zelretch could see, it was a male. Yes, his body's clad in darkness, but it didn't hide his stature and body composition.

He opened his eyes, which caused Zelretch to lean forward in excitement. An Ancestor with a Rainbow ranked Mystic eyes? It was a rare occurrence. From the currently living Ancestors, only two have such eyes. Which is Michael Roa Valdamjong, whose eyes allow him to see the point that makes things live. The other being Rita Rozay-en, whose Eyes allow her to project her memories into other people's minds and implant a victim's mind into her body as a captive.

The man looked around, his eyes landing on the 18 pillars to his right. "Welcome to the 27 pillars of the Dead Apostle Ancestors. You will be number 19, as the others are dead." Sumire, sitting on the 17th pillar, said, her voice ringing like bells. "I am Sumire, your big sister. Now, state your name."

He scanned the 18 of us, his eyes lingering on me, before looking back at Altrouge. "My name is Cassis Barthomeloi Zelretch. Good to meet you all."

Zelretch couldn't help but burst out into a powerful, loud laugh, catching everyone's attention. "My descendant, who everyone thought was killed by Lorelei, turned himself from a Dead Apostle to an Ancestor in less than three months." He said in between laughter.

It caught everyone by surprise. It is not for the fact that Zelretch was married, but the fact that he turned himself from an Apostle to an Ancestor in less than three months. And he didn't even need to kill another Ancestor!? Impossible. The shortest was Vlov Arkhangel, the 16th, who killed his master after 100 years.

"Is what your... ancestor said accurate?" White Wing Lord, Ortenrosse, asked, turning to the newcomer.

"Well, I am a reincarnator. I researched you, Ancestors, for 54 years before dying to a Dead Apostle. In my second Incarnation, I spent 53 years doing more research before being killed by Barthomeloi Lorelei. This is my final Incarnation. A body I spent 18 years perfecting my formula. So, I technically spent 125 years on this path." He explained, staring at the White Lord. It explained why he 'only' spent two months becoming one of them, but Zelretch knew Causes was lying. After all, he is a master liar.

Zelretch stopped laughing, looking at 19th with interest in his eyes. "An Apostle who reincarnated in my descendant's body. I would like to meet you in real life."

"No thanks. I wouldn't want to be murdered by you, user of 2nd magic." He shook his head, finally taking notice of his throne and pillar.

Zelretch smiled at this response, thinking to himself, 'This new member will bring a lot of fun.'

"Number 19." White Lord called, bringing Cassis' attention back to himself. "Whom factions would you be joining? The one led by I, the King of the Dead Apostles, or her." He finished, gesturing to Altrouge Brunestud, who sat on the 4th pillar.

The one who sat on the fourth pillar with her elbow on the arm of her throne and her chicks on her first opened her eyes. "Trhvmn, please refrain from calling me 'her.' I have warned you for the last time." Altrouge spoke, her crimson eyes glaring down at the White Lord who sneered. "I am Vampire Princess of the Dead Apostles." Closing her eyes once more, she continued. "You can have him. Besides, he will likely be dead by Enhance by a month."

Everyone's eyes turned to the 14th pillar. There sat the Knight of Vengeance, Dead Apostle-Killing Vampire, Enhance. He stared at 19th with his piercing icy blue eyes. Yeah, he was definitely going to go after the newcomer.

"19. Survive three months as a new Ancestor, and you will be allowed into my factions." White King spoke as he disappeared from his throne.

"Cassis Barthomeloi Zelretch. I will be seeing you. Hahahaha!" Zelretch laughed as he disappeared.

"I advise you not to Join White King. Instead, join the princess." No. 18, also known as Merem Solomon, spoke, looking down at 19. "His old-fashioned personality isn't fit for leading in this new age."

"Merem, I would advise you to keep your mouth shut. You don't have the authority to speak of The White King that way." No. 10, also known as Van-Fem, spoke in an elegant voice.

"Oh? What are you going to do about it? Send your Golems after me?" He asked, turning to No.10. "My little puppy would crush all your golems."

"Ahem." Cassis loudly cleared his throat, stopping the argument and bringing the attention back to himself. "Soo... How do I leave this place."

"Think of it, and it will happen." Sumire replied, disappearing.

"I will be seeing you all later." Cassis said as he too disappeared from the throne. Seeing the star of the meeting left, they all too disappeared.

A new Dead Apostle Ancestor has been born.
