Playing The Part

Sitting in the chair directly across from her office chair, Stephan sat silently listening to Anne's responses to the interactions he had had with her before Anne had returned to the office. Doing his best not to laugh at her responses to some of what had been said, Stephan was glad that he had been able to rile her to such a degree and she still hadn't threatened to involve any lawyers. This let him know that her lawsuits were targeted specifically at him alone and not anything involved with his business. He also noticed how, as they updated each other on the other applicants that had already been interviewed or had been contacted for interviews before he had arrived, they were trying to sign over the apartments to those that were the most in need of a place to stay instead of just the first one willing to sign a lease or was willing to pay a higher rate for the unit than the tenant she had chosen to lease the unit to.
