Shareholders' Meeting

Mu Corp.

The morning atmosphere in the company was a bit lively today. The employees were excited, as they will get a new CEO today. Some of them who had saw him yesterday were bragging about how handsome and tall their new CEO was to their coworkers. Others whose yet to see how he looked like were annoyed and sulked.

"Don't just stay there gossiping. Manage your works properly, as the CEO will make a round of inspection today. Don't blamed me if any of you are fired later," the managers shouted towards their respective subordinates.

They all scattered towards their own workstations and quickly checked and updated their work progress. They do their jobs and sometimes looking towards the office entry as they waited for the CEO's arrival.

Meanwhile Luna rushed out of the bed to take a quick shower and bathed her daughter. She settled with a wine coloured of pantsuit with waistcoat and light pink dress for Lily. She put her hair in low bun and apply a little make up to covered her dark circles.

They rushed out the house and Luna accelerated on the road to Mu Corp. She was already five minutes late from the appointed time of the shareholders meeting. Luna parked her car in her designated parking lot before rushing into the elevator. She pushed number 37 button in the lift and the lift ascended. Fortunately, there was no one else riding the elevator with them.

When the lift door opened at the 37th floor, Luna ushered her daughter to walked out quickly. She held Lily's hand while she carried her backpack on another shoulder. They stopped in front of the conference room's door.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She pushed open the door and bowed forty-five degree to apologized for her tardiness.

She heard Chairman Mu said, "It's okay..it's your first time coming late and we yet to start the meeting," and ushered them to take a seat. Luna bowed again before she took her designated seat at the back.

Before, when Chairman Mu said they will only start the meeting once everyone arrived, the others start to talk among themselves. Micheal who was seated at the right side of his father at the front table frowned when he heard what his father said.

'Who the hell had the gut to make them waiting for him?' He thought and scanned the room.

'But all the shareholders had arrived. So who are they waiting for?'

Few minutes later, there is a soft knock on the door and the door is opened from the outside and a woman bowed her head and apologized.

He want to snapped at her 'You got the wrong room and asked why the hell are you doing bringing a kid in the company?'

He felt angry as they had waited for twelve minutes but the person not coming yet this woman barged in.

However, before he could open his mouth, his father already ushered the woman in. He was shocked eventhough his face was still calm. 'When did their company had a woman as a shareholder? Not to mention a young one at that.' He did not takes a look at her face properly as she bowed and turned to the other side where the little girl stood before she walked to the back. He followed her movements with his eyes until she was seated. When Chaiman Mu saw his son's curious eyes but still maintained his calm facade, he decided to break the ice.

"Let me introduced you our new shareholder, Luna Wang. Luna Wang, this is my son, Mu Qiu, our new CEO."

When Luna heard her name being introduced, she looked up and shocked. But it only happened in a second before she composed herself.

"Nice to meet you, CEO Mu," she said with a polite smile.

However, Micheal on the other hand was stunned speechless. He almost fell from his chair when Luna looked up and greeted him. It's as if a lightning bolt had struck him. He gaped at Luna without blinking his eyes.

'She can't be her, can she?'

'Luna Wang....Wang Hua...Luna Wang...Wang Hua..' 'They are one and the same person?'

"Holy Cow!"

"Smack!"

Chairman Mu apologized to Luna for his son rude behaviours.

"You look stunning Luna that's why he was stunned speechless."

Luna just smiled amiably. She knew he recognized her.

"Stop staring, she was a married woman. That's her daughter, Lily." Chairman Mu chided his son.

'Such an embarrassing son.' He continued in his mind.

But, his announcement only made Micheal more incredulous.

'Ma..marr..married? Daughter? Lily?'

The words kept swirling in his mind like a broken tape.

"Bam!"

Chairman Mu slammed the table in front of his son. Micheal was jolted up from his dazed mind. He looked around and saw some weird look being thrown towards him. Then he realized he still in a meeting room and the meeting not even start. He quickly stood up and bowed at his waist for ninety degree.

"I'm very sorry. That was rude of me."

His father then asked him to sit down as they will start their meeting. Micheal trying hard not to take another look at Luna direction as he needed to focus on the meeting. They highlighted several important agendas and discussed some of the company subsidiaries' issues before the meeting was adjourned.
