CHAPTER 2

"He seems to be fine" An elderly man said as he as he checked Ryan's pulse.

Ryan was sitting on his bed as multiple people were surrounding him. It has been half an hour since he woke up in this new world. The maid who came had hurried away and brought the other people. Most of them were maids while there was a middle aged man with slicked black hair, fair skin, black eyes and a moustache. He wore a blue exotic coat along with dark plants and luxurious shoes. There were multiple badges on the shoulder of the coat denoting his rank. He looked quite dashing and handsome for his age. Currently he had frown on his face.

This person was Colonel Sard Yeager. He was the part of the Imperial Army.

"But why doesn't the young Lord not remember us doctor Miro??" He asked the now named doctor Miro in a concerned voice.

"Hum it's possibly due to that incident which happened a week ago. The young Lord was poisoned and almost lost his life. I believe that after going into the coma he lost his memories" The doctor explained as he stroked his gray beard.

"This is concerning" Sard said as he paced left and right thinking something. The others looked at him quietly.

He suddenly stopped and asked the doctor," Is there any ways to restore the young Lord's memory??".

"Well I am just a family doctor with a knowledge of some magic you know. You can consult one of those mages. But I suggest you don't. We don't know if those eccentric fellows would do something to the young Lord's mind which will turn him into an idiot."

Ryan who was quietly sitting and listening to this conversation sweated profously. He knew that he couldn't let these people to mess with his head. So he started to come up with plans so that he could deny them when Sard said something.

"You are right doctor, We can't let those guys mess with our young Lord" Sard said with a sour expression.

seeing this Ryan understood that these mages weren't much liked by the people as he could see that most of the people present in the room had a look of frown on their faces.

"But is there no way to help the young Lord to get his memories back" A maid with black hair asked.

Everyone turned to look at her which made her uncomfortable as she lowered her head.

" I will suggest that we let his lordship regain his memory on his own. I am sure that he can do it." Doctor Miro said with a smile.

An awkward silence fell as no one said a single word. But this awkwardness was broken by the doctor.

"Well then, Now that I checked the young Lord he seems to be fine. His weakness would go away in a few days. So you should take care of him" He said. After which he turned to Ryan and bowed a bit.

"I will be taking my leave your lordship. If you feel sick then tell those maids to inform me quickly and I will come." Doctor Miro said as he turned to leave.

"Rico, escort doctor Miro out if the castle" Sard said to one of the maids, who quickly nodded her head and left the room with doctor Miro.

"My Lord please excuse me now. I have to inform this to your father, The Majesty" Sard informed him.

"But can anyone tell me what's going on ?? Who am I or what this place is??? I am completely confused?!" Ryan shouted.

" I can understand how you feel after looking your memories so I will let Miranda to tell you everything you want to know" Sard pointed to the now named Miranda. She was the maid whom Ryan saw first when he woke up in this place.

Slowly Sard walked towards the door. He stopped at the front of the door as he turned around and looked at Ryan.

"Get well soon" He said with a light smile after which he turned and left the room.

Slowly the other maids left the room too leaving Ryan and Miranda alone. Ryan looked at her and said," Now please tell me everything."

After than Miranda explained everything to Ryan. She said that Ryan was called Rein. He is the first son of the Marcus Drago the Mighty king of the Nation of Storm. His father is a fierce warrior king who has the blessing of the crimson dragon of wrath. He came into power when he was only twelve years old. When Marcus came to power there wasn't a Nation of storm but small territories ruled by kings and queens who regularly used to wage war against each other. Due to this internal strife the rulers of the neighbouring countries plundered, killed and enslaved the people of this land. It was only after Marcus ascended the throne, did things started to change. He was Strong enough to to conquer the entire country and formed the nation of Storm because whenever Marcus entered a battlefield a red storm would follow next. He was so strong that he was able to beat all the Kings of the neighboring nations who united to defeat him fearing his ever growing power. After witnessing this the Kings were scared enough to not attack his kingdom again. It has been 40 years since then that peace prevailed in the country.

Next was his mother, Nashandra a mysterious woman from a country known shadow's ring. Thd People of various nation didn't know much about country as it no one was able to enter it because of a space-time barrier. This country was shrouded in mysteries. It was said that Nashandra was a beautiful women against whom king Marcus fought in a war. It was said that King Marcus fell in love with her in the battle. It's was only after a few years that the two of them got married. But there were some unknown circumstances due to which Nashandra never ever went to nation of Storm due to which the throne of the Queen was empty. Marcus loved her enough to never accept anyone as his Queen but he still had many concubines. It was said that she left for her country after she married Marcus. They always meet at the end of each month in a place called the Moon's fall. Few years after such a meeting the King suddenly brought in his first child back to kingdom. And this child was none other than Ryan or Rein.

"So this is all about your parents and how they" Miranda explained with a smile. Ryan was listening everything with rapt attention and was quite intrigued. He felt that this was one of those epic romantic Novels he read in his previous world. But he felt that something was amiss. He felt that his mother never entering this kingdom and only meeting his father once every months was wrong although he didn't ask about it.

"So what about my siblings. Don't I have them as I heard that I was the first." Ryan asked changing the topic.

Listning to this Miranda looked at him with some hesitation. It seemed that this topic was a taboo here.
