THE QUIET SIDE OF WAR

To think that I would be by myself. I am Warmonger oldest member of Flock currently on vacation. What am I doing for vacation well I'm currently searching the area for souvenirs and maybe some weapons to add to my weapon collection.

"You have a great eye miss, that's a DR  single action rifle that was used by General Henry James in the second Gucci-Futam war." An old one-armed man says to me.

The weapon he's talking about is a wooden gold-encrusted rifle, with the iron sights slightly to the left. On the bump stock is the Signature H.J.

"What's the asking price?" I say while slowly taking the weapon apart avoiding pressing the trigger.

"One hundred thousand dollars I will even throwing his knife for ten thousand dollars." The old man says lighting up his pipe.

"I'm willing to give it for one hundred and fifty for the Oushi type zero ." I say pointing towards a small black slightly beefy gun place on a pedestal.

"That's the Famed type zero, I see, that was manufactured by Guyu Yamamoto for the bird battalion to help with trench warfare but it was too bulky and the ammo type wasn't widely used to so it was abandoned a year later." The old man says picking it up and pulling out the magazine showing me a bullet that's around 9mm by 9mm wide which is too big for the standard Futam rifle.

"Plus with there only every being one hundred made these, are very valuable, 135 thousand I will even throw in an extra case of ammo for you."

That's not a bad deal considering even finding one of these are very rare to begin with. Plus it's within my budget.

"145 thousand." A brand new voice states behind me. Turning around it's a girl dressed in a purple and black gothic dress with a purple sword on her side.  Her purple hair and eyes also have a slight shade of black.

"Oh a challenger, sorry missy but the only thing is for sale is the type zero, the DR-296 has already been sold." Oh, a gun merchant with a consciousness how ironic.

"I have no interest in that thing it lacks style it's only filled with gold to hide its impurities." The woman says turning away from the holy DR-296 how dare her it's a relic that must be idolized not look down on.

"155 thousand! Your not worthy to these relics." I say looking at her with fierce eyes but probably due to my mask, she can't see me.

"Are sure you want to increase the price of the type Zero to 155 thousand or won't include the DR-296 in though." The old man says and nods ferociously.

"165 thousand, uncultured swine don't deserve the grace of such an art piece." Damn her she's playing hardball but I can counter.

"180 thousand!"

"185."

"190!"

"195."

"200 thousand!"

"You want it alright then have it, here then I'm sorry to bother you, Warmonger." I immediately back off then removes a scythe from my shadow preparing to slash her head across the room instantly.

"You really don't remember me, alright then let me introduce myself, I am Death Spade of Gambit Deck."

Gambit Deck, I see now it make sense now it's the weapon addict of the group, Death Spade.

"I've spent 300 thousand because of you."

I say to Death Spade who smiles then takes her sword and places it on the table.

Yeah, we have moved to a coffee shop so we kind of stand out a little, the mask and really old dress of course we would.

"This is the sword called Purple Dawn worth around 1.5 million dollars, it has been passed down through the Koenigsegg house from Germ before they were destroyed." Death Spade says stroking the sword.

With the green crowned egg partnered and the Germ language on it, it's quite beautiful. Unfortunately, that's not what determines the value of a sword.

"Can I see the sword?" I ask her, she nods and complies.

My first Impression is that's it's light like really light, I draw the sword out of the sheet and what awaits my eyes is a really beautiful dark purple blade that slightly shines in the daylight. Written on it is three words honour, glory and family. Theirs no chip on the blade meaning the price behind this could be around 500 thousand the least. I carefully place it back into the sheath.

"Despite its beautiful design with a trustworthy appraiser I can't buy." As sad as that may seem it's always best to double-check everything especially with professionals.

"I understand but I'm not here to sell I'm here for a trade, Purple Dawn for the type zero." I see that's her endgame so she really want the type zero, I'm sure but I can sell Purple Dawn for much more based on artistic value alone but I don't buy weapons solely to sell them.

"I'm sorry but I'm not willing to sell the type zero they're just too rare to find, I'm sorry." Even though I really want that sword it's just too risky to purchase and the trade not worth it in my eyes.

"I see, alright then I will stick to my original plan then, see you at the auction." Like that she leaves with me in a slightly sad mood.

I leave this place wanting just to cool off. Death Spade she's was a very close friend of mine. We were super close especially our adventurer group; until Hades and her boss got into a falling out then our relationship went sour then we split apart.

Finally I've reached my destination the shooting range.

"That will five hundred dollars missy." That's expensive more so than usual is it due to the auction.

Despite that, I pay the money and enter while actively ignoring all the chatter around me.

I stretch my hands in a bag which is just a disguise to hide my powers and take out two cases. One for DR-296 and the type zero.

"Oh my is that a type zero, it's very rare to see one like that."

Standing directly behind me is a man dressed in a white polo shirt and blue jeans while wearing black shades that are slightly down on his face.

"Hello I am Ouru and you are new here." Ouru says coming closer then leans on the wall.

"I've been here before that was five years ago." I say loading up the type zero.

"That's why, well the ownership has changed since then and let's just say the new owner is a bit too patriotic." I see and this was the only place that allows foreigners.

"I'm in now it's best to just use it while I can." I say to Ouru then aim the type zero then Bang! Bang!

The recoil on this gun is terrible not only that, it too heavy to fire continuously.

"So where are you from, I'm from a small port town in Gucci it's quite a boring and quiet place though, so don't go there." He says with a smile on his face.

"I'm from Arc not sure where because I was orphaned by the war." Bloodshed and destruction that's all I've known even now but not completely.

"Oh that's unfortunate, can I test out the type zero I always wanted to try out one."

I nod to his statement then hand him it. He places the earplugs into his ear then braces his body. Bang! Bang! Is the sound that goes off with him pulling the trigger.

"This thing is way too heavy to fire in single much less semi-automatic." Yeah, that's the entire reason the type zero was scrapped and replaced.

"Well here's your type zero, remember to always watch your back on the streets especially in this city." He says then walk away, he's truly a strange guy.

He has a strange feeling about him almost like a never-ending cycle of energy is constantly cycling him. I should be cautious next time around him. Because we will meet again.
