Chapter 18: Birthday Ball/Kidnapping

Two years later it was almost Raven's 18th Birthday. Right now, it was lunchtime. At the table were Nikita Rayden and Raven.

"Hey everyone. I hate to say this cause I don't like them, but its 2 days before my birthday. I will be turning 18." "Well Raven happy birthday." Said Nikita. "Yeah happy birthday." Said Rayden. "Oh tomorrow we are supposed to be learning about our dragon powers. I think I will do it with the class depending on how well I do." "Oh that's right we are." Said Nikita. "I totally forgot. Thanks for reminding me." "Oh Nikita you nerd your going to go read it at free time aren't you." "You got it. You probably should as well." "No I have plans with Zoro training. You have fun," "You train way to much. I guess that's why you are always in good shape." "Haha Yeah I guess your right. I need to learn to defend myself. Just in case people come after me again." "Yeah good idea." Then we ate our lunch and headed our separate ways. Rayden of course followed me.

"OK we're here Zoro!" "Alright then. Rayden and Raven I want to see how well you two spar together." "Yes sir." I said. So we sparred to see how well we did together.

Rayden was pretty good. He got me a few times but I got him more. I won of course. "Ok, OK time for a break." "Haha very good both of you. Rayden you need a little work. Raven good job. You almost had her Rayden. Rayden lets you and me sparr. " "Are you crazy?! If Raven can beat you, you will clobber me." "haha don't worry I won't get you that bad." "Alright then." So I watched them spar a bit.

Zoro of course got him. "Haha that was the best show I've seen. Haha." "Hey Raven that's not nice." "Sorry Sorry but he got you good. Haha." "Yeah well he's stronger than my master was too." He pouted jokingly. "Ok well we are done for now. You two should get studying." "Yeah yeah. I guess I'll study with Nikita then." So I cleaned myself off and headed to my dorm and Rayden went to his.

"Hey Nikita." "Oh hey Raven. Come to study with me?" "Zoro said I should study but I'm exhausted." "Hehe. The way you train I'm not surprised." "OK lets go to the 5th chapter which starts with powers." I opened up my book and followed along with her. Halfway through Raven fell asleep. "Haha oh Raven you work yourself too much." Nikita tucked her in and went to sleep herself."

The next day after training it was finally time for textbook reading on powers. I was following along until I didn't remember last night. "Oh this is probably where I fell asleep. Ha." After textbook stuff we all went out and tried our powers. Since we learned about some things in the textbooks, we tried to do what it said to get our powers out. I followed everyone out and did my stuff there.

"Ok Everyone who wants to go first?" I Raised my hand. "Raven go on up." I went up and she explained what to do. "Ok so as to what colors you are red and blue its probably fire and ice or fire and water. Lets focus on one of them first. Lets start on the blue side. So think of something happy or sad that happened to you." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Her dragon form turned blue for sure. Then she faced a random field and blew ice. "Woah cool!" I said. All the others were excited to go next. Then one after the other went.

It was finally after lunch and it was mail time. The elder was handing it out. "Raven! Nikita!" Then he called the others and we headed to our dorms. We looked at our packages and it said "Don't open until Raven's Birthday." "Hmm must be a birthday present from my brother." "Huh that's tomorrow." Said Raven. I thought for a minute then hit my head. "Please don't tell me you are throwing a ball for my birthday." "Damn! You guessed it. It wasn't my idea I swear. Zoro knew and he is hosting it." "Well I guess I'll have to see what dress they brought me then. Tomorrow." "Well we should study then while we have the chance." "Hehe you and studying I guess lets do this." So we studied until late then went to sleep.

The next morning before breakfast we opened our packages. "Ha it wasn't my brother after all who sent it. It was Koa. He said he always liked this dress on me." Nikita opened hers and I was wowed. "Woah cool dress." "Thanks, its my favorite dress." It was a midnight purple dress with sparkles on the skirt like the night. My dress was midnight blue over the neck dress with a slit up to my knee. "Well I guess we better go eat." I said.

So classes went on then free time, then it was time for the ball. It took hours to get my hair done. Nikita just curled hers. My date was Rayden and Nikita had Rayden's Roommate.

"Ladies and gentleman the guest of honor has arrived." "Happy birthday Raven!" They all yelled. Then it was time for me to make a speech. "Thank you all for coming. I usually don't like surprise parties but thanks to Zoro this was one. Today Is my 18th birthday I want to thank you all for these 2 years. I want to thank you all for helping me now I want you all to enjoy yourselves thank you." Then I stepped down. I found a seat and sat in it for a bit. Zoro saw how tired Raven looked and whispered to Nikita. "I think we should get the surprise now." Nikita nodded. "OK ladies and gentleman its time for the birthday girl to have her first dance."

I turned around and was shocked. "Koa!" I gave him a big squeeze. We went to the middle of the floor and he said, "May I have this dance my lady?" "Of course you can." We got into dancing stance and when the music played we started dancing. I had the biggest smile on my face knowing I'm dancing with my boyfriend.

After the music was over, I brought Koa over with me to Rayden. "Hello Rayden." "Hi Koa. Good to see you again." "Likewise. Thanks for watching over Raven for us." "Hey no problem." "Is it just you that came Koa?" "Yeah its just me." "Thanks for coming today. It was the best surprise ever. Are you going home tomorrow?" "Yeah I'm only here for the party." "Oh ok." "Sorry to interrupt your date for the party." "Hey no biggie I know she's your girlfriend. Plus I have eyes for Nikita over there." "Ah here roommate. Did you tell him about her Raven?" "What I Knew yes." "Well I researched that family. Apparently its just her brother and her. Her brother raised her since she was 5 he was 18 at the time so he was able to watch her." "I'm going to go outside and get some air I feel a little hot." "Be careful out there Raven." Said Koa. "I will."

I went outside and sat at a table. "Ahh much better." I heard something rustling in the bushes. I was on my guard. I always had extra clothes under my dresses just in case. I took off my dress and ran to see what was out there.

Meanwhile Koa and Rayden went to check on Raven to make sure she was ok. Then they noticed she wasn't there. Koa saw her dress and knew something was up. "Rayden she doesn't have her dress something is up we need to find her." "Right. She couldn't have gone far." They headed towards the training field.

"What do you guys want from me?!" "Oh we don't want anything from you. Our boss wants you." "Let me ask you one thing." "Does he want to kill me? If he does he is going to be sorry." "No he doesn't want to kill just talk." "Huh I wonder what kind of talking this guy wants. Is he on this island? Will he leave everyone here alone If I come along?" "So many questions." "Yes we will leave everyone alone if you come along. As for if its on the island no. Follow us."

Just as the boys got there, they saw Raven turn and follow other dragons. "Shit I think I know where they are going. Its off the island. Follow me." Said Koa. So they flew off after her.

"Let's rest here for the night." Said one of the men. "I don't think that's a good idea I said. I have a feeling someone is following us and if we don't move, we will be in trouble." "How are you feeling Raven?" "Fine enough let's fly." So we all got up and finally flew to our destination.

"I know this place? Its not far from the castle. Where is the boss?" "We are heading there now." "Boss she's here. We have her." "Bring her in." "So who are you? Why do you want me here?" "You all may leave." So the guys left and the man turned around. "Do you recognize me at all?" "I have a feeling I know you, but Since my memory loss I still haven't remembered everything. Refresh my memory. What did I do to piss you off so bad that you need to kidnap me." "You really don't remember who I am do you?" "Well I guess you were little at the time. Jason and your half siblings should know. I even sent them a little note that I had you they should be here any minute now. I will show you to your room." "I hope you know I have ways of getting out." "I'm sure you do. Your just like your brother Jason. We already put that into account. Here is your room enjoy your stay."

"Oh its about time they showed up. I think I will meet them myself." "What did you do to Raven?!" said Koa. "Me? Oh nothing I just talked to her and showed her to her room. As for my subordinates I don't know what they would do to her." Koa Rayden and the others finally showed up.
