Chapter 24: Raven's hurt?!/Raven's Knight

Its now 4 years later. I heard they were throwing a ball for some occasion. I didn't know what the ball would bring. Right now I am getting my hair done for the ball. I already had my dress on. "Ok done." Said the hairdresser. "Thank you Ano." "No problem dear. Go knock them dead." "Haha as funny as ever I see. You never change." "Never dear never." I went out the door, and my date was waiting for me. It was Koa. "Hello Koa." "Wow Raven. You look beautiful." "Thanks Koa. I can't wait to get out of this dress. Its really uncomfortable." "Haha. You never really liked them. Did you?" "No. Not since I was old enough to notice." "haha that's most likely true. Shall we my dear?" "We shall." We joked. Then I put my arm in his and we headed towards the ball room.

When we got there, it looked like the announcement was about to start. "Ladies and gentleman. Boys and girls." Said the king. "We have a visitor that we have not seen in years. Come up please and introduce yourself." "Yes your majesty." "Hello my name is Tony." I froze up and said, "I need to go out and get some fresh air Koa." "Want me to come with?" "NO I will be fine." 'When really I am going to run into the forest away from the gate. "Ok be careful." So I walked out normally, then turned and flew off into the forest.

Once the announcement was over, Tony went by Koa and said, "Hello Koa. Good to see you again. I thought I saw Raven here." "Oh she just went out to get a breather. I'm sure she wants to be alone right now. When she heard it was you she froze. That's when she decided to go out. You must have been an important person to her." "Yeah I was. I feel bad for leaving her like I did. I had no choice. She would have been in danger." "Well don't tell me. Once she is calm and comes in, you should tell her." "Yeah your right. You two still going strong after so long huh?" "Yeah we are. She's not going to the island anymore. Something happened and we all decided it was best she finished here." "Oh is that so?" "Yeah." "Well if I know her as much as I remember, she is not outside getting a breather. She is probably out there in her dragon form in a forest. Mind if I go with you?" "What? Are you sure?" "Yeah I'm positive." "If that's true then I know what forest she is in." "Hang on Koa. I need to let the King know I will be out for a bit." "Ok. I will meet you in the forest beyond the gate." "Oh ok sure."

I felt safe in this forest more than ever now that I found out I was born in the shack frost lives in. I was going to go into the cave that Kane was in when I felt something stab me. I looked down and I saw a special arrow pierce my side. I took the arrow out and tried to see who it was that shot me, but I couldn't see anyone. She blacked out.

Tony came flying over to the forest and saw how worried Koa was. "What's wrong Koa?" "I have a really bad feeling Tony. I think something bad has happened to Raven. We need to hurry." Tony and Koa ran into the forest trying to think of where she could be. They ended up at the shack that Raven told Koa about.

"Wait Tony. Lets go in the shack. He might know something." "Ok but I have the same feeling you do now." "Right. Hey Frost you in here?! Its an emergency!" "Hold your horses I'll be right there!" Frost opened the door and was shocked at first. "Welcome back after all these years Tony. What brings you and Koa here?" "You know me sir?" "Yes. I only met you once but I never forget a face. So what seems to be the problem?" "Its Raven sir. Once she found out I was back according to Koa here she froze and said she wanted fresh air. I knew she just wanted to fly off to a forest or something. Do you know where she might be?" "You mean you don't know?" "I might know." Said Koa. "She told me about the cave Kane stayed in. Frost. If she needs medical attention can you help her?" said Koa. "I will see what I can do. I hope so." "OK lets go. We better hurry." Said Koa.

As they were running, they where looking both ways to see if they can find Raven somewhere. Then halfway there Tony found her in the middle of the path bleeding. "Koa over here! Raven! Raven! Speak to us! Open your eyes!" No response. "Shit! I hope he can help her. Looks like she lost a lot of blood." Said Tony. "Lets get her back to Frost quick!" said Koa. So Koa let Tony carry her since he was faster.

"Frost! Raven's hurt bad!" said Koa. Frost opened the door and said, "Bring her in quickly!" Tony laid her down and Frost said, "She's lost a lot of blood. I hope this works." He took Ravens shirt off and she was in a sports bra. "Shit. I don't know if it will work I hope so." Frost put his hand on Ravens wound to try do at least stop the bleeding. "Hmm. Argh." Raven was groaning as he was helping her. "Damn! I was only able to stop the bleeding. You need to get her to the palace fast and get her checked out. I will check around the forest to see who could have done this to her." Said Frost. "I already know who did." Said Tony. "That is part of the reason I got away." "I will tell you after we get her to the palace." "Ok make haste." "Yes sir. Koa you and Raven get on my back! Its an emergency." He turned and Koa helped Raven up then he hopped on. "Hang on to her tight and you hang on to me." "Yes Tony." He flapped his wings a little then took off fast. "Woah this is fast." Said Koa. "I told you it would be. Its an emergency." They finally got the castle.

While Tony was carrying Raven to her room, Koa went to the party to tell the king what happened.

He finally got there out of breath and ran to the king. "Your majesty. Raven is hurt bad. We need a doctor." The king stood up and ran out.

"Hmm." Raven slowly opened her eyes and they weren't to her room yet. "Tony? Is it really you?" "Easy Raven you shouldn't talk. Yes its me. We will talk after the doctor checks on you ok?" She closed her eyes again and they finally got her to her room and laid her down.

Tony stayed with Raven until the doctor finally came in. "What happened to Raven?" "We don't know sir. She had already lost a lot of blood. Someone we know stopped the bleeding but that's all they could do. We are thinking she might have had a arrow shot into her." "Ok lets get everyone out so I can examine her." Everyone waited outside the door while he checked on Raven.

The Doctor examined Raven, he sewed her up and wrapped her wound. The doctor gave Raven a shot for the pain. He went out the door and explained her situation. "Well it looks like it was an arrow after all. She pulled the arrow out before she blacked out. I was able to stitch her up and wrap the wound. I gave her a shot for the pain. I will give you some medicine to give to her when she wakes up for the pain. Also there is something else you should know. Koa I need to talk to you in her room." "Yes sir." They walked in Raven's room and the doc said. "She is pregnant. She is in her early stages maybe 2 weeks or 3." "Are you serious?" "Yes I am very serious. Weather she wants to or not, she needs to have someone guarding her and caring for her. The first trimester is the most crucial." "Yes sir. Thank you for telling me. Is the baby ok? I was worried because she lost quite a bit of blood." "The baby is fine. Yes she did loose a lot of blood but not too serious. Any later however it would be bad." "Thank god. Thank you doctor." So the doctor left and Koa kissed Raven's forehead. Then he walked out and said, "Tony can you and the king stay with her. I gotta get some fresh air." "Well I have to cancel the party earlier than expected but I will be right back." "Thank you sir." Then Koa left.

"Hmm. Koa? Tony?" "Hey Raven? How you feeling?" said Tony. "Tony? Are you really here? Or is this a dream?" "I'm really here Raven. Your going to be ok. You just need to rest." "Where is Koa?" "He should be on his way back now. He had to go out and get some fresh air." "Oh no. He never does that unless something serious happened. Am I really going to be ok?" "According to the doctor you are." "Oh good." Then Koa walked in. "Hey Raven. How you feeling?" "A little tired from my wound. Otherwise ok." "That's good." "Hey Tony can I talk to Raven alone please?" "Yeah sure. I got business to take care of anyway. Good to see your ok Raven." "Yeah thank you Tony."

Once Tony left, Koa told her the news. "Raven. There is something the doctor told me about you. Your…." Before he could say anything I said "I'm pregnant right?" "I figured as much." "How did you?" "Uh I felt like I was tired more than usual and I felt strange in some places I never have before." "Well yes the doctor said you were about 2 or 3 weeks." "I see that early huh? Koa are you worried that our child is going to end up a dragon as well?" "No I'm not worried. There are dragons here that can help. Rayden helped you." "Yeah well lets hope he's still around or we will have to find someone else." "Well there is another thing the doctor said. He said not that you are pregnant, you have to have a personal guard whether you want one or not." "I figured as much. I already know who I want as a guard. I'll tell mom and dad. In fact I need to tell Rayden my brothers my sister and my parents what's going on." "I will go get them." "Thanks Koa. I will rest while you do that."

Koa went out to find the King and the others. "Ah here you guys are. Raven and I have something to tell you. She is awake but very weak." "Take us to her Koa." Said the King. So the King siblings and Mother followed Koa. "Brothers. Sister." I said in tears. They came over and I hugged them in tears. "its ok Raven. We are here now." Said Jason. "Sorry about that. Little emotional." "Raven should I tell them or do you want to?" "I will tell them. Mom, Dad, everyone. I'm pregnant." "What really?" Said Alora. "Yeah apparently I am 2 or 3 weeks right now. Also father. Looks like I need someone to watch over me now in my crucial time. I already know who I want to be my guard. I need to talk to you alone about that later." "Ok Raven. Just rest ok?" "Yes father. Argh. Damn! MY side hurts!" "Woah deep breath Raven. I got your medicine here." Koa got the medicine and she took it. "Ah much better thanks Koa. So when do I get out of here?" "Well that's up to the doctor. He will check on you tomorrow." Said Koa. "I remember feeling a sharp pain in my side and taking the arrow out. I had the arrow with me. Then I looked around to see who might have done it, but they were already gone or hiding. Here is the arrow." Koa looked at the arrow and didn't recognize it. When Jason saw he was shocked. "Raven are you sure this is the arrow that shot you?" "Yeah why Jason." "I know who did this to you. Remember when we were going to the safe house to protect you? This is the arrow of the people that were after you." "No! How long were they following us! Did they call mom and dad!" "Woah breathe Raven. We haven't seen mom or dad for years. I'm sure they are fine somewhere." "Yeah your right. How do we find them?" "Raven when you are better we will look for them together ok? Remember you have to take it easy. Your pregnant now." "Yeah I know. You don't have to remind me."

A few days later I was able to get out and about. I went to my father's office to talk about my personal knight.

"So father I am here to tell you who I wanted as my knight." "Who would that be Raven? I have a feeling he may be one of the few that is a dragon. That is why I am choosing him. His name is Tate." "Oh Tate huh? Ok I will call him here. Guard! Can I have you get Tate for me? Thank you."

A few minutes later he got there and the guard announced him. "Come in." said the King. "Your majesty. Highness." Tate bowed. He sat down and the king explained. "Hello Tate. Raven would like you to be her personal knight." Then I explained further. "If it wasn't for my pregnancy, I wouldn't need one. We are good friends and I am a dragon as well." "Yes I would be willing to be your knight. Your majesty when would the ceremony take place?" "Oh well what do you think Raven?" "Well tomorrow morning I have to meet Rayden. It would probably be an hour. After that I am free." "So about 11:00am be ok?" "Yes father it should be ok if its ok with Tate?" "Yes it will be fine with me." "Ok tomorrow at 11:00 it is."

The next morning the ceremony took place and he did his oath then I was free to do whatever. "Oh Tate? We need to head over to the Raven clan for a bit." He nodded then followed.
