26. Be Fooled

Edik continued to run after throwing Anastasya's clothes off in two different directions. He wanted to see if the werewolves were triked or not.

"I better hurry back before the sun rises," Edik muttered as he sped up his run.

There was the howl of a wolf who had smelled blood from the clothes Anastasya had worn earlier. They felt the smell of blood in two different directions.

One of them grinned and gave an order. Split into two groups and went in two different directions.

The werewolves ran towards the smell of blood stuck to Anastasya's clothes. They didn't care about the others because right now, their focus was on the scent of the werewolf blood stuck to the clothes Anastasya was wearing earlier.

Edik smiled faintly, and he didn't expect that just a bloody garment could so easily fool a werewolf. And he did not realize that currently, someone was watching him.

He stopped his movements as arrows shot towards him. Edik managed to avoid the hand and then looked at the person who attacked him.

"I will kill you!" The hunter said while releasing an arrow and aimed it at Edik.

Edik quickly moved and approached the person who was about to kill him. The man was surprised because Edik was already in front of him.

"You want to kill me?" Edik asked in a cold tone while removing the head covering of the person who was about to kill himself.

Edik smiled. He saw an energetic young woman. The woman who wanted to kill him with a makeshift weapon is that woman able to kill a vampire.

"Come back ... with only these arrows you want to kill me?" said Edik, who underestimated it while displaying his bow and arrow.

"You ...," The woman said irritably at being underestimated by the old vampire.

"You old vampire! You will die in my hands!" snapped the woman angrily.

Edik smiled when he heard what the hunting woman said. He is indeed an old vampire because Edik is now more than 200 years old.

He did not care about the hunting woman. Because right now, he did not want to kill the human vampire hunter. Edik was about to run to return to the castle.

"Fight me the old vampire!" The young woman shouted to Edik.

The young woman ran and immediately attacked Edik with a dagger that she had just taken from the boots she was wearing. She was annoyed that the old vampire had underestimated her abilities.

She always called Edik the old vampire while continuing to attack her quickly. However, Edik did not strike back. He only dodged the hunting woman attack.

"Fight me! Do not always avoid!" shrieked the young woman as she continued to attack Edik.

"Are you serious about wanting me to attack you? I can not because I'm an old vampire," replied Edik in a tone that said near the ear of the young woman.

The young woman did not like what Edik was doing who spoke near his ear. She returned to draw her dagger at Edik with exasperation that was so high.

However, Edik did not fight the vampire hunter woman. She continued to dodge her attacks. He heard the lord's voice telling him to return to the castle immediately.

"Tonight I give you time to enjoy the rest of your life. Get back to your castle before the werewolves eat you!" Edik whispered back to the vampire hunter woman.

Edik ran to leave the vampire hunter woman with a smile because Sergei had sent him back to the castle.

The young woman was annoyed with what Edik was doing. She grumbled at being belittled by the old vampire who could only whisper to her.

Hearing the howl of a werewolf, the young woman immediately ran as fast as possible. She thought back to what the old vampire had whispered.

It turned out that the old vampire was telling the truth about the werewolf. She was not allowed to meet werewolves because the only weapon she had was a dagger.

Finally, the young woman arrived at the vampire hunter's castle. She walked to his room to rest after running and fighting the vampires.

"You just came back, Sasha?" asked a man to the young woman who had just arrived.

"Yes. How is Adrian?" He replied while asking back.

The man shook his head. He did not know what would happen to Adrian yet. Everyone, including Lucas, was watching him. They all try to save Adrian, who is already severely injured.

Sasha opened the door to her room and closed it tightly. She took off the clothes that stuck to her body one by one then walked to the bathroom. She gave his body because it was sweating after meeting the old vampire Edik.

Sasha calls Edik an old vampire because she knows that the vampire who comes from Sergei castle is a vampire whose life has been hundreds of years and even thousands of years.

She was still annoyed with Edik, who always said near her ear. So that makes her will continue to chase and kill him.

After finishing cleaning herself, Sasha came out of the bathroom and lay down on the bed. She tried to close her eyes.

At Edik's castle, go straight to a room where Sergei is. He saw Ivan, Anastasya, and also the lord who was standing right by the window.

"My lord ...," said Edik to Sergei.

"I entrust Anastasya to you. Teach him to play the sword and all you can!" Sergei ordered Edik.

Sergei also told Edik to warn the vampires in this castle not to touch Anastasya because he wanted the little girl to grow up as a human to adulthood.

"And you Ivan rocks the Edik to train him too if you're not on a mission," Sergei said to Ivan.

"Yes, my lord," Ivan replied by bending his body a little.

"Go take that little girl to clean up!" Sergei said to Edik and Ivan.

Anastasya was just silent, and she saw Sergei, who was very different from her first meeting. However, she did not mind all of that. The most important thing was that she was now in a safe place.

"Sir, are you serious about your decision not to make me a vampire?" Anastasya asked.

Sergei closed the window blinds, then turned around and looked at the little girl wearing only Edik's suit. He walked closer and then stopped right in front of Anastasya.

"Do you want to become a vampire? It will be very painful and boring," Sergei asked the little girl back.

"I'm willing to become a vampire and kill those werewolves!" She replied firmly.

Sergei smiled. He didn't think the little girl's grudge against werewolves was the same as him. However, it would not make Anastasya a vampire this time. He was still curious about the blood flowing inside the little girl's body.
