Chapter 60: The female is dead

Two beast men were running in the forest, and on the Tiger's arm, was a ball of wood. You could see the fear of the unknown on their face.

"What the heck was that?!" The leopard couldn't help asking.

The tiger beastman glance at the Leopard, "How would I know?!" He replied with a pale face.

Those two were Roland and the Leo[ard in their original form.

They never had seen such elemental power before. They only knew 6 elements which were; water, air, wood, rock, lightning, and fire.

There were also rare ones, which were healing or seeing the future. But the thing they saw a moment ago was none of these rare elements, nor part of the elemental power.

It was a bunch of circular lights that pop out chains. They have never seen such before! The was no record of any species having such, and if there were, they are not familiar with such.

It was normal to fear the unknown, or being wary. But experiencing it was a different thing.

It was like seeing an alien that you had no idea what kind of alien it was, if it was friendly or not, then after that, the alien suddenly wanted to take your loved one and used the power that you have never heard of against you!

The first thing you will do was to used all the power under your disposal, throwing at that alien to divert its attention, then grab the person! And that was exactly what the beast-men did.

They got both scared and amazed when those beasts bow at that child, even they felt such a feeling of reverence toward him. It was as if their animal instinct says that he is their god, and they should obey anything it said!

Originally, Roland decided to followed the egg because he was worried about it, and he knew who owns the little kid, but then the Leopard saw him, and also stopped on its track and followed Roland.

The two were still arguing on the way but Roland stops when he saw the egg became gray. A dreadful feeling comes to his heart. He knows that the egg, even far from its parent, wouldn't just go and color change.

He already knew that this egg was special. A normal beast egg didn't move nor could it move, so he found the little egg fascinating and fun. He also wanted it to be its child, but at this moment, the little egg turned gray!

He felt jittery, he decided to continue to walk where that danger was because he felt that as long as the egg was with its parent maybe it would become energetic once more, but there were still fairies on their back.

The Leopard noticed his weird action, and when it saw the egg, he didn't know but worries took over him.

In the end, the Leopard suggested covering the two fairies inside one of the thick trees, to check out what happened.

Even though they felt danger up ahead but staying would only make them worry.

After securing the two fairies, the two ran toward where the danger was.

When they reach there they saw a bunch of 6-eyed bears. These bears were easy to handle, what annoying about them was that they are intelligent and they became stronger when enrage. The highest record of enraging bear was that it pops out 3 horns, and each horn has great power, helping it to cast different levels of elements.

6-eyed bears were territorial beings because the 6-eyed bear only had one cub per 3 years, the place they usually find was the safest, and not easy to be found the place. It was said that these bears could even create their own formation, hiding them from their predator.

So seeing these bears gives people a surprise. These were supposed to be hidden, so seeing them only mean one thing their home was endangered.

The two lay low and watched those 6-eyed bears encircling something, seemed like it was the culprit.

Suddenly, a child as white as snow appeared.

He was too ugly in their eyes because he was not a beast but there was something inside of them that felt reverence toward the child, but what caught their attention the most was the 6-eyed bear actually gave way to the child.

That was the only time they saw who was it on their encirclement, it was the female (not!) tigress they had put their eyes on.

They wanted to save the tigress at this moment but decided to observe what it would do, if the child did something to harm the tigress, they will grab her and fight the child.

But as they watch, they erupted. They never had caressed nor bites those sensitive ears, and this ugly child dares to!

When they saw the child was about to take Reigan, the two looked at each other and nodded their head.

Making those situations occur, and ending them in this situation.

"He was not following?" Asked the Leopard.

Roland shook his head. "I couldn't feel it anymore."

The Leopard then walk on the last spot they left, opening the wood where they encase the two sleeping fairies.

While Roland made him sit beside the two, only for his eyes to turn small.

"No..." He whispered. He checks his breathing, and checks his heart, by putting his ears toward Reigan's heart, but no sound could be heard.

The Leopard seeing this began to feel annoyed. "What do you think your doing, harassing a female while asleep." He reprimands.

But no sound could be heard from Roland, as he continues to check Reigan's body.

It was cold.

Too cold for a mammal.

Roland decided to take his clothes and was about to undress Reigan but was stop by the Leopard with a blackened face.

He already had the feeling that something was amiss but seeing what Roland was doing with the female made him rage.

He was sure that the female and Roland was not partner because if they were, then the female would become sweet and loving to their male partner, and their body would produce the smell of their partner, showing that they were own, or they had a mate. That's why he was certain that the two just met, especially how Roland react when the two first met while he was chasing Reigan.

So seeing it made him mad.

He walked toward them and was about to grab the female when he felt strong killing intent from Roland.

He didn't back down and gave his own murderous aura, and hold the wrist of Reigan to pull him into his embrace only to stop, and stare at Reigan's.

Reigan's body was cold.

He eyed the Tiger, and let go of Reigan.

Now he knows why Roland was acting weird.

Why was he being crazy.

The tigress...

Their female...

He is dead...
