Synopsis

James, a cripple since birth, is stuck laying in bed feeling as if he is chained down. He was born with a never before seen disease which made him unable to move his arms and legs. The doctors said it would be more humane to euthanize the boy rather than let him live a sad life.

His parents were unable to kill off their boy. They decided to keep their child but swore to give him the best life they can.

His parents and older sister lived up to their promise. He enjoyed his days to his fullest. His parents and sister would go on trips and tell him stories of what they experienced. They tried to take him with they once but he said he felt miserable being unable to be directly included in the fun. He found the he preferred being told stories that let his imagination run wild.

His father spared no expense in searching for a cure or a way for his son to be able to move again. During his search for ways to save his son he created a medial technology firm. The technology he created for his son all ended up as products to sell at his firm. He needed money to continue the search. What the world did not know is that James’s father only saw all of technology they deemed divine gifts as failures. He was unable to find anything to save his son from his fate.

That was until now. He firmly believes he found a way to cure his son! He set out to retrieve the last piece of the puzzle.

Read to find out just what James does with his new found freedom in VMMORPG: Breaking Chains.

P.S. to the readers:

I am trying writing as a new hobby. This story will contain lot of grammar and potentially spelling issues. If you are a stickler for grammar this story may not be for you. If anyone can get past those issues and continue reading anyway I will give you the best story I can write.

If anyone likes the story enough and wants to be an editor/proof reader let me know and I will reach out.

The cover art while made by me it contains images found on google search. I do not own the individual aspects of the cover and am willing to change it on request.

Author here! My review score accurately reflects my feeling on my story. If you like deep world building, strong character designs, clear character growth, and a completely flushed out plot you have come to the right story. The proof I can give you is the first two chapters are the ending point for volume 1. With a clear end point in place all that there is to do is fill in the blanks. I will also be frank. My grammar and spelling can be rough. I hope you will look past it and try to just enjoy the story. The book may start out slow but it will pick up in pace later on. There is a lot of background to build and a lot of moving pieces to generate and tie together. The story will continue forward to get to the tournament as I release chapters. However, there will also be plenty of flashbacks / cut scenes to flush out the story arcs dealing with James's parents, the lab, and the organization known as Black Death. I am a fan of video games and mysteries and I want to tie the two genres together in one place. Please be patient and enjoy my story. The chapter word count I am targeting is between 1,500 at the lowest to 3,500 at the highest. Ideally it will be closer to 2,000 words per chapter. The only reasons why a chapter's length would be around the 1,500 count is if I have to split a super long chapter in half or I get too busy on the weekend. I look forward to your input and comments!

An engaging story that was very descriptive. The action scenes were explained well and I can see its potential. Not something that we can see every day. I am amazed by the author's writing style. Creative and imaginative. Kudos!

Great story so far I like how you describe the beginning, like we were watching the begining of Like a movie or something, you do really good on showing how the character feels and acts, the only mistakes I can see are some minor spelling ones, so keep up the hard work and I hope to reed more of this!

I don't know about other people but I had a bit of a hard time following at the beginning but I attribute that more to myself then your writing. Your description was vivid but dialog made me question weather an actual gamer would talk the way you wrote. Your style made it seem like they treated the game like the real world to much. Overall it was a decent read

Not a bad story. I enjoyed most of the parts and the pacing was okay. Some sentences could be better with and edit and maybe proofreading can help too. Overall, not a bad read, and hopefully the author would improve it.

The first chapter got me thriled! I love game novels that interact with the world outside and all the world of the game seems to be very unique too. Definitely worth reading!

So, I am interested in the kind of stories that take place in a video game, and most of them usually do make for interesting stories. The worldbuilding in this book is exactly how I imagine worldbuilding in MMORPGs. The main protagonist is likable, the characters are well-developed, and the way the story flows and moves is addictive and charming to read. This is a great book!

a VERY intriguing plot... the synopsis does its job of attracting the readers and the very first chapter makes you know the characters which to me is very interesting. Looking forward to completing the read.

Love the first few parts of the novel! It was an action pack series of spells and fighting scenes that engaged me to read further. And the story about Scarlet, *cough* man, that was mind boggling and drama. Kudos for the author~
