15k word prologue

I told you not to read this!

Since Webnovel requires 15k words, I'm just gonna keep typing until I hit it.

Surrounded by nothing but darkness and the anguished cries of the dead. A single gray-haired teen woke up with a deep yawn. His red eyes cracked open like a night light in a dark room. He rubbed down his disheveled gray hair before promptly letting himself fall back on the murky ground to stretch out his torso.

You know, laying around in an eternal abyss reminds me of those fanfics where the main character wonders if he's dead. Feeling the ever-present dread of the void and the cries of anguish can be overwhelming. Although for me it gets really old, like this is just another day for me.

Unfortunately I'm not actually dead, nor have I been chosen by a R.O.B. to go off on some adventure in another world with cheats and stuff for people to read. Although I've been told differently before, but I'm pretty skeptical of the possible concept that some random schmuck is just chilling in his room and reading my life story.

Dad and Uncle Gold always said that 'Life itself is a story, and some asshole is out there enjoying it.'. I'm not sure if that also includes me but in the case that I'm not an exception, I guess I should Introduce myself.

Hello there, my name's Wave Aversis. A demi-god, recently turned 15 years old, and I've been living in the deepest parts of the abyss within my mother's Underworld for my entire life so far.

I have a dad named Hessian Aversis von Schweinorg, apparently a version of Zelretch was his teacher.

I have one sister named Amber, who I haven't seen in a few years since she started high school. She's three years older than me, supposedly we were supposed to be born at the same time, but due to complications at birth I was born three years later.

We have two mothers, a goddess of death Ereshkigal and a goddess of life Tiamat.

Weird right?

I asked dad why we had two moms once.

FLASHBACK

"Dad, why do I have two moms?" A younger Wave asked his gray haired father.

"Well son, because your old man was such a baddass in his younger years before he became a full-blown god. I shacked up with both of them and their divine essence just got mixed during our threesome." Hessian recalled the memory with a grin.

"...Dad I'm 11."

"And I've seen your internet history, when you're old enough to be curious, you're old enough for the talk." Hessian retorted with a look as the horror on his son's face grew.

"Dad no." Wave said with a pleading undertone.

"For you see son, when two or possibly more people want to get it on with eachother-"

FLASHBACK END

I sometimes question my dad's parental abilities but then I remember that I've been kept down in this abyss for my whole life. Honestly it wasn't so bad after I got used to it, but over time I've slowly built up this silent itch to just get out into the multiverse like my dad did from his stories. Doesn't even have to be another dimension, I just want to get out of this literal hell.

[Master Wave, you've awoken. Shall I start up the shower for you?] I heard a slightly robotic yet gentlemenly voice sound out from a black gem in the air.

That's Onyx, I never figured out if he was some kinda AI or an actual person. But supposedly my dad made him and he watches over me like a butler/nanny. He generally provides me with whatever I ask for while I'm down here.

"Nah, I'll shower later." I stood up from the ground. It's a bit weird because the ground looks like a an ocean of darkness filled with squirming souls screaming out and all that evil crap. I actually used to eat some of these sinner's souls when I was younger, I didn't know any better at the time. Can't help it if the souls of sinners taste good, but I've been holding back from doing that for the past few years as I've been slowly gaining a sense of morality.

Within the abyss, a door opened up in front of the gray haired teen's red eyes. Patting off some souls stuck to his shirt, he casually stepped inside without hesitation. This was Wave's room.

The room itself wasn't that large, only as large as Wave wanted it to be. The walls were filled with an assortment of posters related to a variety games and anime. The room had a queen-sized bed at a corner despite being rarely used. There were a few shelves filled with manga and light novels near the bed and a desktop set up between them. On top of the shelfs seemed to be replica weapons from different franchises that looked incredibly real.

On the other side of the room was a flatscreen with a sofa and small table in front of it. There was even a drink dispensor with cups next to the flatscreen. In the corner was a single door on the other end that led to it's own restroom. Overall it looked incredibly comfortable and homey. The only reason Wave woke up outside today was because for some odd reason, one of his father's rules was that he must sleep directly in the abyss for at least 4 days of the week.

Sitting back on the sofa, Wave decided to continue playing Fall Out 4 as he just finished New Vegas the previous week.

[Master Wave, I insist that you at least wash your face and brush your teeth before you begin another session.] Onyx implored

"Fine." Wave rolled his eyes with a sigh as he got up to do that in the restroom.

This was how the teen's days would generally go. Wake up, play a game, watch some anime, spend some time with his parents whenever they came down to visit.

However Wave had noticed that lately, his father hadn't been showing up as often. It was mainly his mother that visited him for the past month.

The itch to escape the abyss grew into an urge, until he finally gave in and made his attempt.

Standing outside of his room within the dark abyss in only his boxers, he called out to his butler.

"Onyx! Can you not look for a bit? I'm doing my thing." He turned to the glowing black gem on the door that was supposedly one of Onyx's bodies

[... Out here?] Onyx was slightly put off by what was being asked as Wave would usually do this in his room.

"Don't kink shame me!"

[I... You truly are your father's son. Very well.] The soft light on the gem shut off, signifying that Onyx had given him his private time.

"Alright, let's do this." Wave gave a sigh of relief.

He looked down at the wailing anguished souls of sinners beneath the waters that he stood on in thought. There wasn't an actual entrance or exit within the abyss. Usually his parents would just teleport down here, so he believed the only way to get out was to create his own opening.

He grabbed a handful of screaming souls and stuffed them into his mouth, however he didn't swallow. He could feel the vibrations of the muffled screams of the dead on his cheeks, but he didn't stop stuffing his mouth with more souls.

His cheeks looked like a squirrel with it's mouth full of nuts and honestly a bit terrifying with squirming souls attempting to get out of his mouth. After reaching the limit of his capacity, Wave stood in a horse stance as his eyes gleamed a dark light. A dark ghastly aura of death oozed out from his body as he instinctively condensed the sinners in his mouth. Then like a ripoff from Majin Buu from DBZ, he opened his mouth as wide as possible.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" A ghostly wail that would frighten even the bravest of gods was released in front of him. The screams of the damned were so condensed that they were visible as they left his mouth.

*TEAR sfx* An opening in space presented itself

"I did it!" A moment of joy overwhelmed him, until he realized he wasn't out yet. Before the tear in space disappeared, he leapt through it without hesitation.

"Well, what do you have to say for yourself young man?" Hessian stood in front of his son as Wave's limbs were trapped by a sort of spell formation in the air. His mother Ereshkigal stood in silence on the side.

Unfortunately Wave had failed his escape, in hindsight he probably should have made a better plan than forcing an opening through space by condensing the wails of thousands of tormented souls like how Majin Buu from DBZ did. At the time he wasn't even sure he could do it, but he made an impressive attempt anyway.

After devouring thousands of sinners, he screamed an opening through space. Unfortunately he didn't realize the fact that his father had booby trapped the space around the abyss to keep intruders out.

"What do I have to say? Are you seriously asking me that?" Wave began with a tone of disbelief and annoyance that he was being questioned as if he did something inherently wrong. "You have LITERALLY trapped me in the deepest parts of HELL for my entire life! What kind of fucking parents do that!?"

"Language." His father chided.

"Oh don't you start, I've slept in a place of sinners for the past 15 years, it's amazing I still have my sanity after all this damn time." Wave practically growled out.

"We have tried our best to provide everything you needed and asked for." Hessian calmly said.

"Oh well I guess you should get the parents of the year award! Let me tell you something, a rich guy can go to a private prison and buy amenities to make his stay more comfortable. But ultimately it's still a damn prison and unlike the rich guy, I don't have a real connection to the outside world!" Wave laughed with sarcasm dripping from his tone.

"Oh and while were on the subject, you've never even given me a reason for keeping me down here! Like am I a monster? Am I some fucking evil spawn that will destroy life as we know it!?"

"You aren't." Ereshkigal responded.

"Well then mother, why the hell are you two keeping me here!? You didn't do this to Amber! She gets to go to a school, go outside, get taught magic or magecraft or whatever the hell you call it! Meanwhile I'm over here being taught sword and cultivation related crap, 90% OF WHICH I CAN'T USE BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME THAT I'M NOT ALLOWED TO CULTIVATE OR USE ANY TYPE OF ENERGY IN EXISTENCE!" He shouted to the point that his breathing became harsh. His parents remained silent at that.

"I just... I just want to see the world outside... Instead of watching and listening to the stories of others in my room. I want to live my own story..." Wave couldn't wipe away his own tears as his limbs were still bound. "Is that so wrong?" he muttered out as he slumped down in resignation.

Ereshkigal looked heartbroken to see her son like that. She was about to say something, however Hessian spoke first. "It's not." he said without ever taking his gaze off his son.

"What?" Wave lifted his head with confusion.

"Hessian?" Ereshkigal looked worriedly at her husband but he assured her with his eyes.

"It's fine Eresh, I have worked for the past 18 years and I still have nothing to show for it." With a wave of his hand, the restraints on Wave disappeared.

"Ow!" he cried out as he fell flat on his face.

"It's not your fault." Ereshkigal consoled.

"I have spent 18 years on this and my own son is still forced to live like this. Go back up, I'll handle this." He said with a sigh.

"But..." she was hesitant

"Go." he urged. The blonde goddess stared at her husband and glanced towards her son for a moment before disappearing back up to the upper parts of the underworld.

"Wave." Hessian called out to his son who had just gotten up from his abrupt fall. "Ever since you were born, you have never personally asked why we kept you down here until today. Honestly I'm surprised it took this long." he admitted as he relocated them back into Wave's room.

"Well the explanation is quite convoluted and it would take awhile to explain, so do you want the short version or the long version?" His father offered as he sat down on a chair that popped up behind him.

"...What's the short version?" he hoped for a fast answer.

"You have an old cosmic being inside of you that will eventually take over your body."

"...Okay what's the long version because I feel like I need context here." Wave blinked at the incredibly short answer that just opened up more questions in him.

"Hm... Well let's begin with, what do you know of the 'Aversis'?" Hessian started.

"Uh a bunch of formerly overpowered people that came from another place?" Wave attempted to recall.

"And How do you know that?"

"Well from the stories you-"

"I have never told you about my dealings with other Aversis. So let me ask you again, how do you know this?" Hessian asked without a change to his expression.

"I... What?" Wave said in confusion as he held his head as if he was having a migraine. Hessian watched his son's doubt and inner turmoil closely for a moment before continuing.

"Let's ignore that for now. Let me ask another question, how did you know that you live in the deepest parts of the underworld? Specifically the Abyss." Hessian changed the question.

"You told-"

"Neither your mother nor I have ever personally informed you of your location. So how did you know exactly where you were? How did you know that you live in a place filled with the drowning souls of countless sinners?" He cut him off again.

"..." Wave sat there with his body slumped trying to think back. When he thought about it, he found that his father was correct, he had no recollection of either his mother or father telling him where he lived. Confusion marred his expression as he went through an internal crisis.

"How... did I know all this?" He muttered out, unable to find the answer.

"The reason, lies with the bastard that decided to bet everything on your body." his father crossed his legs as his son lifted his head up to listen. "What do you know of the multiverse?"

"Uh, It basically just a bunch of what ifs and possible realities?"

"Not a bad answer but lacking. If we were to dumb it down, let's take... Shirou Emiya, the protagonist from Fate stay night series over there." Hessian pointed at a poster of Fate Unlimited Blade Works with a certain wannabe hero of justice on the cover.

"One timeline where Shirou gets a bad end would constitute itself as a universe correct?" He waved his hand and a single blue line appeared across the room.

"I guess."

"Now let's take another time line." With another wave, a second line appeared. "In this one, Shirou gets a good end and gets the girl." With another wave, a third line appeared. "Here he gets with another girl and here he dies horribly."

"This will keep going and going." hundreds of lines manifested in the air. "Until all of these universes fall under the category of that reality's multiverse." The lines condensed into a single square.

"This also holds true for the multiverses of other realities. Such as something like DBZ, One Piece, Bleach, Fire Emblem, etc."multiple other squares representing multiverses appeared alongside the first. "And all of that falls under the category of an Omniverse." A single giant square encompassed all the smaller ones.

"But, isn't a multiverse supposed to have infinite possibilities? Like can't those realities also be in the same multiverse?" Wave asked as he googled multiverse theory before.

"You're right, there are indeed multiverses like that. Yet it still falls under the Omniverse." His father nodded. "But it doesn't just end there." he smiled and with a wave of his hand, a giant square appeared on each side of the first one with their own set of multiverses.

"More Omniverses? That doesn't make any sense." Wave blinked at the new additions.

"Not everything has to. But it makes you think what's even larger than an Omniverse right?" Hessian shrugged. "Well even I don't know that, let's get back on topic."

"Between these Omniverses is something called the divide, or the rift by others." A static blur appeared between the giant squares, separating them.

"No matter how powerful one is, attempting to cross through it is suicide even for a R.O.B. Even if you get to the other side, no matter how immortal or invincible you are, it won't matter as your existence becomes destabilized and incapable of sustaining itself unless you can get the omniverse to accept your existence." He turned back to his son, only to see him with his head tilted. "Okay, obviously that was too hard to understand, just know that crossing Omniverses lead to death."

"Now then, there was once a guy named RiftMaster Aversis. He was basically a R.O.B. with a job and his job was to watch the four divides, along with other Omniverses." he highlighted the static blur around the square.

"I haven't found too much about him, information on him is scarce. However one day he decided to use the end of another Omniverse to do something."

"Omniverses can end?" Wave asked surprised that something as big as that could end.

"Yes, where I'm from it was called The End of All things or The Final Calamity. Everything ends eventually, no exceptions." Hessian chuckled a bit darkly at that, but regained his composure.

"One day, RiftMaster Aversis saw the end of another Omniverse and for some reason, he leapt towards the rift and got himself killed. His existence was completely grinded to dust with only a cloud of his residual will dispersed at the border."

"Did he just get so depressed that he killed himself or something?"

"I don't know, however that wasn't the end of him. From the other Omniverse, 280 survivors of the Final Calamity on their last leg slipped down towards our current Omniverse." Hessian closed his eyes as if he was recalling something. "However they would all soon dissipate, no matter how immortal they were they would disappear as they were foreign entities. That is until they each latched onto the remains of RiftMaster Aversis. I was one of those beings."

"His residual Will spread across all 280 beings, they had no choice but to accept the parisitic will or be reduced to non-existence."

"Did it mind control them all or something?" Wave was a little freaked out with hearing of a parasite might be inside of him.

"No. It just came with some minor side effects. Such as being forced to identify yourself with the name Aversis no matter what. Along with some other strange traits like an urge to dance with a crowd of people or a love for cat girls. It's weird." Hessian calmed his son down before he freaked out.

"Back then I had speculated over the reason for RiftMaster Aversis's actions, and while I made some conjectures that I believe my fellow Aversis have also come to. We believed that he would eventually take over one of us to make an attempt to assimilate us all into one being." He explained "Of course we each made preparations in case this happened by splitting ourselves. However for some odd reason, his presence manifested inside you. Someone who isn't one of the original 280 Aversis."

"Well that's disturbing, but it still doesn't explain why you've trapped me down here." he had goosebumps knowing that some old guy wanted his body.

"When you were still in the womb, your Uncle Gold paid an abrupt visit that I did not expect. Obviously as he's also an Aversis, he was able to sense the RiftMaster inside of you. So he tried to kill you before you were born. He actually got close to it before my intervention. He would have succeeded, until the RiftMaster made his move to defend you." He stopped when he noticed his son making an odd expression.

"Sorry continue, I was just thinking I had something to guilt trip Uncle Gold with now." Wave chuckled despite being told that his Uncle tried to murder him.

"In the incredibly short span to defend you, the RiftMaster nearly sacrificed all of your affinity with death."

"My affinity?" Wave became intrigued.

"You're a demi-god. You and your sister have a natural affinity to life from your mother Tiamat and death from your mother Ereshkigal. It comes with extra perks and abilities that vary. Although you had a larger affinity for death, while your sister had life." Hessian explained.

"What, nothing from you?" he grinned cheekily at his father.

"I wasn't a god when I was doing the deed with your mothers at the time."

"Ugh, let's just get back on subject." Wave scrunched up his face as he didn't want to think of his parents doing the deed.

"While you were still in the womb I noticed that RiftMaster Aversis's influence on you was growing stronger, faster than before. So we were forced to put you in stasis to save you. Which required you to stay in there 3 years longer than your sister. You would have stayed longer but his influence eventually began to bypass the temporal laws." Hessian sighed as he had a headache trying to stop it back then.

"You're telling me I could have been 18 years old by now if Uncle Gold didn't try to abort me? I am so never letting him live this down." he muttered the last part under his breath.

"After that, I searched for more information on RiftMaster Aversis and found that he wasn't a big fan of death and dark stuff in general. So your mother and I birthed you down in the deepest parts of the underworld which is here, and it actually worked. It reduced his influence and it allowed you to slowly regain your affinity to death."

"And how long did that take?" Wave questioned.

"It actually came back within the 5th year and it's only gotten stronger since then." his father said with some pride.

"So... you've been looking for a way to get rid of this rift guy from me this whole time?" he mumbled a bit low but his father still heard it anyway.

"Yes, I tried everything. I have killed countless gods to refine ultimate artifacts, asked assistance from R.O.Bs and even threatened one. However in the end I could not find a way." Hessian sighed until he noticed his son's smile "Why are you smiling?"

"Oh it's just. I'm glad you aren't the heartless bastard I thought you were. I'm still pretty ticked off about the life-time of the abyss thing, but it's nice to know that you really do care for me." For the longest time he wasn't sure if his family really cared for him or not since they had kept him down in a place like this.

"Of course I do, your mother and sister care for you as well. On more than one occasion did your sister confront us about your stay down here." Hessian recalled all the times his daughter would demand that they released Wave from the abyss.

"So, is the reason I just know things is because of the rift guy?"

"RiftMaster Aversis was essentially a R.O.B. so he is pretty much all knowing when it comes to anything within this Omniverse. This omniscience is slightly bleeding over to you, I suppose each time your mother and I visit you, you would learn something random related to us. While your mind rationalized it in some way to accept the new information." Hessian explained his conjectures.

"Is there really no way to win against him?" Wave asked with a frown.

"Not that I know of so far." His father stated the unfortunate truth.

"So I guess that means I have to be stuck down here even longer?" his son sighed depressingly as he slumped his body down.

"No, you don't." Hessian stated firmly to his son as he stood up with resolve in his eyes.

"But rift guy..."

"Let him come. I am a literal super god and former overlord that has caused the extinction of billions of races. In my experience when there is no possible answer, then the only answer that remains is to face it head on." he said as Wave stared at him for a moment as he processed his words.

"Dad, are you an evil guy?"

"Good and evil are subjective, but I guess you could say I've done some pretty evil things at some points of my life. But anyway I am going to do what I should have done long ago." He declared with a finger pointed at his son. "I'm going to believe in you son. I don't know why the RiftMaster chose you as his potential vessel, but I am going to gamble that you will somehow get through this."

"I don't think I'd gamble on a teen against an cosmic being. Although the sentiment is appreciated." his son said without confidence.

"Well miracles can happen. If the RiftMaster shows up, I'll fight him even if it kills me." Hessian said with resolve noticable in his voice.

"So does that mean I can leave!?" Wave asked with excitement

"Not yet." Hessian said much to his immediate dissapointment but he ignored it. "We need to stop the RiftMaster's ability to influence you, and I do know of an Aversis that was proficient with this kind of thing in the past. I didn't contact him before out of fear that he would attempt to kill you or warn the others, but since were going all out, I'm going to throw caution to the wind." he smiled as a dangerous gleam appeared in his eyes.

"So I'll be leaving to see if I can convince him, it may take a couple weeks so just spend time with your mother until I'm back." Hessian waved to his son before abruptly leaving.

"Why would I need to spend time with mo-AARGH!?" Wave felt his body immediately crushed out of nowhere.

"MY BABY BOY IS LEAVING MEEEE!!" The blonde goddess Ereshkigal pulled him into a bone-crushing hug with tears in her eyes.

On an empty beach in the middle of a hot summer day. There was a single man chilling on a reclining chair underneath a beach umbrella. His only distinguishing features were that he was thin with black hair and some purple paint underneath his eyes. He looked like Sonic from One Punch Man that was in his beach trunks while sipping on a straw from a coconut. Despite the fact that no one else was there, he rather enjoyed the silence.

*BOOM* However the area around him exploded, ruining his chill time.

"The hell!?" The man cursed as he found himself pinned to the ground with giant resplendent blades in multiple places.

"Aster Aversis." Hessian appeared standing in the air, looking down at his fellow Aversis. He was dressed in dark silk robes with a single sleeve missing on his right side.

"Hessian? What the hell are you doing you bastard!" Aster demanded as he was actually pretty pissed right now.

"Filling up word count." He immediately retorted

"What?" Aster blinked dumbly.

"I mean, I am here to make a deal with you!" Hessian immediately corrected himself.

"Then why the hell did you pin me in the ground!?" Aster would move his arm to gesture to the giant blades, but they were currently pinned to the ground.

"Sorry, but this is some really sensitive information and I can't have you going hostile on me or running away." he sincerely apologized but he didn't want Aster possibly escaping and contacting other Aversis.

"U-huh, well unfortunately there's one problem with this." Aster said as he exhaled a puff of air from his nose.

"And what's that?" Hessian raised a brow. However he looked around in surprise as the world around them disappeared into a field of pink flowers, a tower appeared in full view on the horizon.

"Garden of Avalon?" Hessian muttered as he recognized the tower and flowers.

The resplendent blades pinning Aster down shattered as a white haired girl appeared behind him with a smile.

"You messed with chilll time. NOBODY MESSES WITH CHILL TIME!" Aster picked up his sword and roared as an endless stream of pink flowery blades rushed at the gray haired man.

"Hoh, you've got Proto Merlin and Garden of Avalon stuffed inside your soul." Hessian noted as he didn't look concerned despite the endless storm of flowers approaching him. "But that's not gonna make much of a difference." Hessian stated coldly as resplendent light erupted from his blade.

TWO WEEKS LATER

Outside of Wave's room, two figures were currently standing around an erected pool filled with anguished souls. Around the pool, inlaid magic circles and divine words covered the surface of the structure.

The red cloaked figure was mumbling words in an unknown language while the gray haired boy had a bucket in hand. The two figures were the Queen of Kur and Underworld Goddess Ereshkigal and her son Wave who was pouring more sinners into the pool for some reason.

Ereshkigal held up a hilt with no blade in one hand and held up an orb of ghastly blue energy in the other. After a moment, the souls within the pool began to float up towards the orb in streams as if it was a black hole.

The ghastly howls of sinners died down as they were assimilated into the orb. The Goddess slowly guided the orb towards the hilt. Wave watched with awe as the hilt lit up and a giant blue energy blade ignited from the hilt. The blade had 3 small spike protrusions on each side of the blade near the base along with a pair of giant protrusions at the end.

"Woah, you did it. But.... why is it blue?" Wave asked confused.

In the past, Wave and his mother would bond by working together to recreate items and weapons from various forms of media. While it's true that his father could simply will whatever he wanted into existence, the two just liked using this as a way to spend time with each other.

The reason Wave was confused on the color of the blade was that today they were trying to recreate the Crucible blade from DOOM. He remembered the blade being red instead of blue.

"Hm, it may have to do with our underworld laws being much different from the Hell in DOOM." Ereshkigal muttered out in thought as she frowned at the blue blade that was supposed to be red.

"It's missing the hellish rune inscription as well." He pointed out as he looked closer.

"Oh right." His mother snapped her finger as a dark light was released from her eyes. She began mumbling divine words again as an inscription began to appear on the blade. Red arcs of light were beginning to be released from the blade, turning it red.

"Cool!" Wave gushed with awe and excitement. "What does it say anyway?"

"It basically just says 'To my beloved Wave, may you never lose your key home.'." She shut off the blade and held it out towards her son. "Think of this as your house key, even when your away as long as you have this, you can open the way home." she smiled softly

"Kind of weird to have a Demonic light saber as a house key though." Wave blinked as he grabbed the blade.

"Here let me show you how it works." She was planning on showing him what it can do until she noticed something behind them.

*TEAR sfx* a tear in space opened up

The two watched as a bloody body crashed onto the ground. It was a disheveled black haired man who seemed to look worst for wear as he was exhaling harshly. However after the tear was gone, when he tried to inhale, he realized there was no air around him. Pink flowers spread across the ground, purifying some howling souls in their wake. The man sighed in relief as he could breathe again.

"I'm home." The two turned to Hessian who had appeared looking similarly disheveled and also missing an arm.

"What happened to you!?" Ereshkigal ran over to him.

"Relax, I won. No harm done, I can just grow another arm." Hessian grinned as he ignored the missing arm and looked over to the other man.

"So do we have a deal?" he asked staring intently at him.

"You're an asshole and you're bloody insane. But I agree that there isn't much choice at this point. I'll help, but I have my own conditions." Aster stood up slowly as his wounds regenerated.

"I can guess what you want, you have my word I won't look for you again." Hessian guessed what he would ask for. However Aster shook his head to his surprise.

"No. Tell me when it's time, if it's going to happen then running will be pointless." As much as he didn't want to be apart of it, he felt it was too late to back out.

"Deal. Now can you do it?" Hessian asked as Aster turned to look at Wave. His eyes lit up for a moment and Wave immediately felt like the man could see through all his secrets.

"I can." Aster nodded as he closed his heavenly gaze.

"How long?"

"3 days. However I don't know how long until he circumvents it." Aster admitted after a moment of thought.

"That's fine, Wave come over here." Hessian called over his son as he hesitantly approached. Wave was actually nervous as he was meeting someone that wasn't his immediate family. "Do you trust me?" His father asked and he nodded.

"Good." Hessian ruffled Wave's hair with a smile "Sleep." With one command, his son blacked out.

I don't feel so good right now.

I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of lethargy.

Makes me question the point of doing anything.

'I know the feeling.'

Did I just hear someone?

'With your ears? No, but with your mind...'

My eyes snapped open. Who was that? I shook off the feeling of sluggishness and looked around. I was still in the Abyss.

But where's mom and dad? Last thing I remember was...

'Behind you.' I heard the voice in my head again.

"AH!" I shrieked out, falling backwards on my butt.

'Odd, I expected someone who sleeps with the dead to be less prone to fear.'

I stared up at the figure towering over me. It had a humanoid figure but it obviously wasn't human. It's body looked like it was chiseled from a meteorite. It's face looked like a mask with a glowing cross for it's features. Like the glow from the cross that was it's face, similar lines of pulsating light were spread throughout it's torso as if there was a volcano beneath ready to erupt.

Like a devil, it had two large horns jutting out from both sides of it's head. It's shoulderblades were covered in a different layer of rocks like pauldrons. It looked like a golem, a golem that was a super model with a six pack. But holy shit it was tall.

'You know calling me an it is rude, I am a male after all.'

"Oh gods it can read my mind!" I blurted out. Where the hell is mom and dad!?

'This is within your own soul, Wave.' Oh god it knows my name too!

Wait this is inside my soul? Wow this is just even more depressing if even my soul looks like a godam place for sinners.

After a moment, nothing seemed to happen. As I stared at him, he seemed intent on just staring back at me. Honestly this is starting to become an awkward silence.

'Do you know who I am?' he asked, breaking the silence.

"...You're that rift guy, right?" It was just a guess

'Correct, I am RiftMaster Aversis.'He introduced himself as he continued to stare down at me. 'honestly I pity you boy.' he stated

"...Why, why did you pick me of all people for this shit?"I asked, wondering why he would choose to use me as a vessel.

'It was merely out of circumstance. Ultimately this was never supposed to happen but here we are.' Aversis looked somewhere above, but I couldn't see what he was looking at.

"What do you mean by that?" He turned back down to me

'You don't need to know that. Just know that I will allow you this opportunity.' All of a sudden green bands rose up from the ground, restraining him. 'He believes that he can restrain me, but it is only because I allow it.' I felt like he was holding back a chuckle.

From the green bands, his rocky body began to turn white as if he was being petrified. However he ignored it in favor of staring at me.

'Live, Wave Aversis. For I believe everyone deserves a chance to have a taste of life, however short it shall be.' The petrification spread through out his entire body until he was completely incased in it.

'Even after you are gone and I continue to walk in your shoes, know that I shall remember you.'

It was the last thing I heard before I woke up.

"Arrggh..." Wave groaned as he attempted to sit up.

"He's awake." Aster called out to notify his parents.

"What happened...?" Wave mumbled out groggily.

"We had to put you under for this to work. How are you feeling?" Hessian appeared by his son in concern.

"I...I feel numb. Like I can't feel my left side." Wave frowned before glancing to his left arm. He blinked in confusion for a moment as he stared at the black and green metal band on his arm near his shoulder. "What the...?" He noticed there was a thinner band near his wrist as well.

His entire left arm was albino white, as if it were petrified. "This is weird..." he muttered, slowly gripping his hand to show that he could still move it.

"In theory this should stop the RiftMaster's influence from spreading any further." Aster explained from the side.

"Hey, if you guys sealed him. Will he go away if we cut off my arm?" Wave asked. Although cutting off his arm seemed extreme, if it got rid of the guy inside of him he would agree to it. Unfortunately his father shook his head.

"No, this only contains his influence so far from getting stronger. It doesn't stop the issue at it's source." His father clarified while taking a closer look at his counterpart's handiwork.

"Well let's see if it worked. Kid, what do you know about me?" Aster questioned with crossed arms.

"Uh..Um... Sorry not used to talking to people. Um who are you?" Wave stuttered a bit nervously as he didn't know who the other person was and didn't have much experience with talking to people who weren't family.

"Good, the omniscience isn't bleeding through anymore. Now to see if he can leave this place safely." Hessian smiled in relief. "Come on, let's bring you up to the main level of the underworld." he said as he held out his hand to his son.

The main level of the underworld was a barren place of rocky pathways and gilded cages housing blue souls. The place was dimly lit by the blue souls and purple glowing flowers that were scattered around the area.

After grabbing his father's hand, he shut his eyes as the world seemed to brighten up all of a sudden. Although the main level of the underworld wasn't exactly bright and dimly lit. It was much different than the Abyss where there was no light besides Onyx and his room.

"Woah..." Wave muttered in awe as he stepped around slowly as he was feeling disoriented. The ground felt so much different to him, it was actually completely solid. Even when he was in his room, the ground was still part of the Abyss.

"Haaah" Wave breathed oddly. He had never really needed to breathe in the abyss as there was no oxygen. He would release sighs by moving souls through his body as a substitute so this was a new experience for him. "This is weird..." he clutched his throat. Yet it wasn't really a bad feeling.

He kneeled down to look at a purple glowing flower in awe. He had never seen a flower up close before.

"I think it worked." Aster noted as he admired his handiwork.

Aster and Hessian stood to the side, watching him closely. They didn't feel the RiftMaster's influence spreading any further despite being out of the Abyss.

"But for how long is the question." Hessian muttered with a frown.

"Who knows, there's nothing we can do about it. Only prepare for the inevitable. How many more know?" Aster asked.

"You, The Golden idiot and I think the bartender knows but I'm not sure. If he knows, then he's good at hiding it because he hasn't made any moves." Hessian responded as he watched his son trip on solid ground.

"Dad! Are these souls?!" Wave asked with excitement as he pointed at the blue souls within gilded cages. He had never seen a soul that wasn't the soul of a sinner before.

"Come on, let's see your mother." Hessian smiled at the sight of his son's excitement.

"Mom, I don't need this much clothing."

"But what if you get cold!?"

"Mom, the Abyss was colder than your average snowy mountain."

"But still!"

Wave had finally gotten used to solid ground, however he was currently finding it hard to move as he was wearing 3 layers of coats, 2 scarfs, a cowl with a hood, padded pants, boots and a bicycle helmet. His mother was afraid that he would get cold, ignoring the fact that the Abyss was cold enough to cause hypothermia to normal humans.

"Eresh honey, I think this is going overboard." Hessian attempted to help his son.

"BUT MY BABY BOY IS LEAVING ME! ALL MY CHILDREN ARE LEAVING THEIR MOTHER!" Ereshkigal cried out tears of despair.

10 MINUTES LATER

"A gas mask?" Hessian raised a brow at his son's current attire

Wave was currently in more casual clothes with a black hoodie, slightly baggy dark blue pants, dark hiking boots, and for some reason a red lensed gas mask with a combat helmet reminiscent of the one from the NCR ranger's outfit.

"I have no idea where I'm going and to be honest I'm nervous when I think about speaking to other people I don't know. At the very least I don't think anyone will be excited to talk to me if I look like this, plus it looks cool." Wave grinned as he raised up the mask.

The thought of speaking to other people actually scared him a little. Unsurprising considering he doesn't have much experience speaking with people normally.

"Alright son, before you can go off to other universes I have a condition." His father said as he turned to him. "You need to help your sister run the company."

"...What?" Wave blinked in confusion.

"I started up a company in this universe called Aversis Tech. I announced my death/retirement and gave your sister full ownership as a way to learn responsibility." Hessian explained "However your sister has been struggling a bit since she took over recently."

"I don't mind helping her I guess." he hadn't seen his sister in awhile, so he figured it'd be nice to see her again.

"Great, before I send you over take this." Hessian held out a device.

"Is... that a Pip-boy from fallout?" Wave recognized it. He guessed his father made it on the spur of the moment.

"It's specially made and altered by me. Admittedly I made it just now but I like to think I'm pretty good at willing stuff into existence. Consider it a going away/bday present since it was your 15th birthday recently." his father winked

[Greetings again Master Wave. This is quite the joyous occasion if I do say so myself. To see you finally get out there on your own two feet.] Onyx's voice sounded out from the Pip-boy.

"Onyx?" the teen recognized the old butler's voice

"Since I gave my old Onyx belt to your sister, I figured I should give this to you."

"I thought Onyx was always inside that black gem." Wave blinked, pleasantly surprised.

[I am connected to a series of black gems. There is a gem within this wrist mounted computer designated as a Pip-boy as well.] Onyx explained.

"Huh, neat." he said as he equipped it on his petrified left arm. He figured he wouldn't have to get used to it if he didn't feel anything on his left arm anyway.

"Now before you go, is there anything you want? whether it be powers, equipment or something unique, we won't be seeing each other that often, so now's your chance to ask." his father offered.

Wave was silent for a moment in thought. He knew his father wasn't kidding when he said anything, it's just he doesn't know what he'd want. It took him a moment but he decided.

"Can I have a gamer system?" Wave asked excitedly

"A gamer huh?" Hessian muttered in thought. A frown apparent on his expression.

"If it can't be done then I can ask for something else." The gray haired teen said noticing his father's reaction.

"It's not that it can't be done, it's just the Gamer power sort of limits a person."

"Limits?" Wave was confused. From his knowledge of fanfics, gamer powers pretty much have infinite potential.

"The thing about the gamer or systems that have shops to them is that while they are pretty much easy tickets to become incredibly powerful. It makes it so that a person will never be able to reach the level of a R.O.B." Hessian explained as it would change the body to easily accept different powers and alterations. The body would be intrinsicly melded into the omniverse itself for eternity.

"Oh. Well what are the chances of ever getting to a R.O.B's level?" Wave didn't want to overestimate himself. He felt like getting to that level was pretty much impossible either way.

"Don't underestimate yourself, you technically have a R.O.B. hiding inside you... huh..." Hessian blinked for a moment as a thought just came to him. "If you became limited by a gamer system... That would probably really piss him off!" he realized. If his son would never be able to rise above a R.O.B. then the there was a chance the RiftMaster would leave him.

"Even if he doesn't leave you, at the very least it'll piss him off!" the older gray haired man chuckled maniacally for a moment. "Alright son, I'll make a gamer system for you. It'll take some time though, normally R.O.Bs would just take pre-made gamer systems to give to people. Making a new one will take some time, but don't you worry I'll make it to the best of my abilities." he said giving a thumbs up.

"Alright, I'll look forward to it!" Wave grinned with some excitement.

Unknown to them, one of the bands on his left arm vibrated for a moment.

[Opening portal to designated location] Onyx stated as a blue portal opened up in front of him.

"Take care honey!" Ereshkigal called out

"See ya Mom, Dad." Wave grinned

"Hey son, make sure you go do a thing." His father winked to his son's confusion as he didn't understand but nodded anyway.

The two godly parents watched the portal close with mixed feelings.

"OH GODS WHY IS IT SO BRIGHT!?" Wave cried out after stepping out of the portal. His eyes couldn't get used to the brightness of a regular room.

The room he was in looked like a wide office with about 6 panels of light on the ceiling. The window had a beautiful view of a planet, meaning that he was currently in space.

"It's not bright, you just haven't adjusted to what's considered normal yet."

"Sis... hey-" the greeting got stuck at his throat as his eyes completely cracked open despite the irritation as he felt it was more important to process the sight before him. "What... what the hell happened to you Amber!?" he cried out in worry.

His sister in his memories was a girl with light blue hair, violet eyes with white 'X's on them. She was incredibly beautiful to the point that Wave used to find it awkward to look at her in the past when he was going through puberty.

However what he was looking at in front of him was a round pudgy, short girl slightly reminiscent of how his sister looked except with a bucket of ice cream in front of her and a spoon in her mouth.

"What do you mean!?" Amber cried out offended as she waved the spoon at him threateningly

"You... you look so fat!"

"Don't you know that it's rude to comment on a girl's weight!?"

"But... were demi-gods! How is it even possible for you to even get this round? Unless all you've been doing is eating Ice-cream for the past couple months! And did you get shorter?!" Theoretically it should be incredibly difficult for their bodies to get so fat. Even if he pigged out and became bloated, his body would go back to normal the next day or two.

"It's been three years, you just got taller!"

[I would like to just state that you have indeed lost about 5 inches of your regular height these past couple months.] A voice sounded out from her belt that thankfully expanded to match her size.

"Shut up Onyx!" Amber shouted at her belt.

"He's right you know." A slightly nasily yet robotic voice came from besides the door.

"Hey sis, why do you have those droids from Star Wars around?" Wave asked as he noticed a couple droids standing by the door like guards.

"She usually has us bring her more Ice Cream from the cafeteria." The droid answered

"It's weird considering it isn't that far from here." The second droid chimed in.

"Shut up before I rip out your voice boxes! Do you know what I've been through this past month!? Ever since I took over this shitty company!? And now you're making me feel bad about my appearance!" she actually started crying yet it didn't stop her from stuffing more ice cream in her mouth.

Wave actually felt a bit bad for it. "Um... if it's any consolation at least you look like the cute kind of round?" he said a little hesitantly.

[If I may, I was ordered by your father to bring you up to speed with recent events.] Onyx stated as a flatscreen lowered itself from the ceiling.

"It's still way too bright." Wave went back to shutting his eyes as he hadn't adjusted yet.

[I suggest putting back on your mask then.] Onyx said reminding him that he had a mask.

"Oh right." he said sheepishly before putting the red-lensed gas mask on again. "So much better." he sighed in relief.

[Aversis Tech or A-Tech: a corporation that was founded by Hessian Aversis von Schweinorg that specialized in energy based technology and ammo efficient guns. It was once the gold standard of weaponry ahead of it's peers and underneath Hessian's leadership, it was practically untouchable during the corporate wars.]

[Even after Atlas had opened a Vault on Promethea and reverse engineered it's alien technology, it had only barely caught up with Aversis Tech for a short time.] Wave felt like he had heard this before.

[However one year ago, the death of it's founder Hessian Aversis von Schweinorg was announced, leaving his daughter to take over as the company's new C.E.O. Many of the other mega corporations saw it as a chance to overthrow the behemoth that is Aversis Tech.] Wave blinked at this and remembered that his father just decided to announce his false death.

[Through a joint effort between Atlas, Dahl, Hyperion and Vladof. The new C.E.O. Amber Aversis was assaulted from all fronts, forced to abandon her senior year of high-school on Eden-5 and escape. The new C.E.O. was forced in a year long war against the other mega corporations, without much choice but to retreat from space station to space station every couple months.]

[To the other corporation's ire and annoyance. The new C.E.O. would cause each Aversis Tech space station to self destruct, denying them the opportunity to plunder any of her assets.]

[Eventually the new C.E.O. had been forced back to her company's H.Q. A space station over the planet of Pandora named Onyxia. The four mega corporations were forced to back off as Onyxia's defenses were too difficult to break through. After which, they lost sight of it after the space station cloaked itself.]

[The four companies were capable of dethroning Aversis Tech. However they had lost too many resources with barely anything to gain so they halted all pursuits and efforts. Today the only current staff remaining besides the maintenance and security droids is the head of R&D, Dr. 21 who is currently out of commission due to health concerns.]

[After everything died down, the C.E.O. has been rotting away in her office only eating ice cream and watching movies the past 2 months.]

"Hey! I deserve some relaxation after all I had to go through!" Amber argued as she really did go through a lot the past year.

[Master Amber, Dr. 21 ran out of blood last month and you have not resupplied her since, forcing her to detain herself in her room. Speaking of which you haven't actually left the office in the last 2 months.]

"Huh, so were in the borderlands universe." Wave said in thought as he wondered what the current timeline was or if canon is completely screwed over due to his dad starting up his own company.

"You're familiar with this universe?" his sister asked

"Yeah, aren't you?"

"I never had as much free time as you did. Besides even if you're familiar with this universe, it may not be the same since dad supposedly made it." she gave him a bland look.

"I doubt that it's much different. Dad doesn't seem like the type to spend time to make a crossover universe." he said as his father always seemed busy with different things.

"That is... actually believable." she admitted before putting before taking another spoonful of ice cream only to have her arm stopped by her brother who grabbed her arm.

"Sis... I think you should go easy on that stuff. When was the last time you ate anything that wasn't Ice Cream?" Wave asked with concern laced in his tone.

"I can stop eating when I want!" she rolled her eyes.

"... I'm not really sure how hard the year was for you but come on, I'm here to help now. Granted I'm just 15 but family sticks together and all that jazz right?" he implored truly concerned about her well being.

The siblings stared at each other for an awkward silence. It went on until the new C.E.O. finally gave in to her brother's worried eyes and put down the bucket of ice cream. "Fine." she grumbled

Her brother smiled behind his mask. He was hoping she would lay off eating too much for at least a couple days. Her demi-god physique should turn her back to normal in that time, hopefully.

"So, what do we need to do boss?" Wave asked the C.E.O.

"Too much shit needs to be done." Amber grumbled as she hopped off her desk chair, nearly falling on her face as she wasn't used to moving around much with her current weight.

She then explained to her brother that their father had turned everything into a game of sorts. Besides the automatic defense that activates based on Onyx's discretion, every other available tech and facility that they had were locked including the safe containing the company's wealth. So they couldn't digistruct any new robots, weapons, or even metal scraps to make things. The universal teleporters and communication relays were also locked.

To unlock them, they had to do things for points that are used to unlock their assets such as bringing in new technology, recruit new competent workers, increase company revenue, raising the company's fame or infamy and settings up their company on other worlds.

"For now, we need to deal with getting Dr. 21 out of her self detainment." Amber said as their father's only actual employee that wasn't a robot was someone named DR. 21.

"21 is an... interesting name. Is there anything I should know? I don't want to make a first bad impression. I mean I'm not sure how I'm supposed to talk to doctors. Well dad's technically a doctor, I mean he dissects things a lot, so i guess that makes him a doctor-" He was bonked on helmet by the shorter girl

"Shush! You know what, I've decided. We need to deal with your social awkwardness." she rolled her eyes at his nervousness.

"I don't think there's an easy fix for my non-existent social skills." Wave mumbled lowly

"Sure there is, you just need to relax."

"I don't think it's that easy. Wait... you're not gonna tell me to try weed or something right? I've seen what happens with Uncle Gold and drugs..." Wave shivered as he thought back on the first of many training sessions with Uncle Gold when it came to dodging.

FLASHBACK

"HUAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" A blonde man was laughing maniacally as he looked down from his floating island at the dark abyss where Wave didn't understand what the hell was going on.

"Tell me, kid! Do you get to the cloud district often?! Oh who am I kidding of course you don't." Uncle Gold continued laughing maniacally as he took a puff from his magically pulsating blunt.

"WHY ARE YOU MAKING SKYRIM REFERENCES!? I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST HERE TO BABYSIT ME!" Wave shouted as his uncle said that he was here on his parents behalf as they were busy.

"And I am being a responsible adult by teaching you a fundamental skill for life! TRAINING BEGINS NOW!" his uncle declared as thousands of golden portals opened up in the sky, illuminating the darkness of the abyss. "DODGE!" with that warning, it rained gold.

Wave vowed to himself that he wouldn't abuse drugs like his uncle from that day forth.

FLASHBACK END

"He didn't stop yelling dodge..." Wave shuddered with trauma laced in his tone

"I mean, you learned how to dodge though right?" Amber raised a brow at his reaction.

"I did, but I can never forget..." he looked off into space with a distant look in his eyes.

As much as his uncle tried to be the 'cool' and 'chill' uncle, his drunken outbursts and moments of insanity freaked him out every time. Wave believed the souls of the sinners shuddered in fear at his uncle as well.

"Dramatic much?" his sister rolled her eyes. "Besides, I don't think normal drugs would work on you unless copious amounts were used." she said. While a demi-god's physique makes you more resistant to poison and drugs. She knew her brother's body was even an oddity compared to regular demi-gods due to living in the deepest parts of the underworld his entire life.

"So if you're not planning to drug me, what are you gonna do?" Wave was curious. Getting rid of his anxiety with talking to other people who weren't family would be nice.

"I'll just get someone to suck your dick." she stated bluntly

"...What?"

"You need to chill out when in the presence of other people, in my experience there's isn't much better ways then getting eaten out or in your case sucked." She said nonchalantly as if she was speaking from experience.

"...Amber I'm 15." he gave her a half lidded stare

"You would be surprised how many teens lose their virginity their freshmen year. Besides it's not like you're losing your V-Card, you're just getting sucked off by someone you don't know. Besides you can't tell me this doesn't excite you. Dad rumbled off your internet history out loud when he was drunk once you know." She said ignoring the silent horror on his expression.

"Look if you're going to be working out in the field, I can't have you be inept at basic communication. And I obviously can't be out in the field at the moment with my body looking like this." She gestured to herself.

"...Okay be honest with me, what's the real reason?" He asked as he believed she was totally lying.

"Mom and Dad are worried that you won't be able to find love because you're so addicted to porn." She immediately confessed the real reason.

"I am not addicted!" he immediately argued with some redness creeping up to his face behind the mask.

"Dad once showed me the amount of time you spent on porn sites in just a week. I agreed with them, you have a problem." She gave him a bland look as if she didn't believe him.

"In my defense! What else is there to do in the abyss!?"

"I hear such things are natural for meat bags." The droid walking beside them chimed in.

"Nobody asked you tin head!" Wave retorted indignantly

The two siblings continued to make their way through the station while passing by numerous facilities with a forcefield that displayed the words 'LOCKED' at the entrances. Through the transparent screens, some maintenance droids were busy with various tasks such as cleaning the facilities.

"So are you just going to hire some hooker to do it?" Wave asked with a sigh. When he was younger, he used to defer to his sister for everything and pretty much followed her around like a duckling believing everything she said. Although he was older now, he was still just a 15 year old brat that looked up to his older sibling.

"Of course not, were going to have the good Doctor 21 do it herself." she stated as she didn't plan on just having some random person on their last line of defense. They didn't even have the teleporters online to beam them up safely.

"...What?"

"Well regarding Doctor 21, she has a certain problem where she slowly gains an unstoppable urge to eat people, usually by turning them into sweets. She agreed to work for the company under our father's promise that her hunger would be dealt with and she wouldn't have to go on missions to kill people while she worked for us." As his sister continued to talk, he felt like he knew who the person was.

"Turning them into sweets... by any chance does she have pink skin and a tail?" Wave asked with his brows scrunched remembering a character from a DBZ game he never played.

"When she gets really hungry yeah, but she looks normal when she isn't."

"Sis... I am pretty sure she could kill us." he said a little unnerved.

"She could if this were anywhere else, however Onyx would defend us before she could go for any killing blows. Plus apparently she can't turn us into food either." Amber said as if she was speaking from experience.

"Are you sure? I never played the game I remembered her from but the universe she's from is filled with planet destroying people." Wave said worriedly as they stopped in front of a door with a forcefield blocking it.

"Relax, anyway supposedly the divinity in our fluids can offset her hunger. Sweat can hold her for a couple hours, blood for a few days to a week and semen for a couple weeks to a month." she explained as she stared at the entrance.

"I still don't know how I feel about this sis... I feel like I need to think about this first." he said still hesitant about the whole thing.

"Well, you can think about it all you want in her room." The round girl said with a nod.

"What?" he finally lifted his head as he was absent-mindedly following her.

*KICK* Wave found himself uncerimoniously punted through the force field by his sister.

"Eh?!" was the only sound he made after finding himself on the ground.

He slowly got up and noticed he couldn't leave the room through the door. Glancing around the dark room he noticed something moving in the corner. He was used to darkness, so he didn't mind it. Slowly moving closer to the corner, he noticed it was someone who was sitting hunched in a corner, rocking back and forth.

"Um... Doctor 21?" he called out, only to blink as he found his body wrapped around a pink tail. The figure stopped moving and slightly twisted it's neck. Her eyes were red surrounded by a black sclera and her skin was completely pink. In any other case Wave would have said that she looked cool. But he was more concerned about being restrained by the stronger woman.

"...Heh heh... You look tasty." She said bringing him closer to her. He felt her grip on his shoulders and the pale pink hair brush up on him as she got closer to smell him. "I can smell it..." She said as if she came to a realization. Then faster than he could react, he found himself without his pants.

"Um... I need an adult?" Wave said questionably

"I am an adult." Dr. 21 licked her lips.

15 MINUTES LATER

"Haah, I feel much better." Dr. 21 left the room with a deep sigh as the forcefield to her room shut off. Her tail and pink skin disappeared, leaving a more lighter complexion. She was wearing a pair of glasses as her eyes had returned to a normal blue with a white sclera and her hair was now a long bushy auburn that went down her back.

"Welcome back Dr. 21, where's my brother?" Amber asked while greeting her only employee.

"Ah! You never refilled by blood vat! I told you what happens if I don't get enough to stop my urges!" 21 noticed her new boss and complained as she could have hurt someone if she didn't lock herself in her room.

"Relax, it's not like we have anyone else working here and Onyx would have stopped you from going out anyway." she waved away the issue as if it wasn't a real problem. Since the doctor looked like she would rather nag her than answer, she decided to escape into the room to look for her brother.

Stepping into the room, she immediately spotted her brother who was turned the other way. He wasn't moving, slightly concerned she walked up to him and shook his shoulder.

"Hey, you okay there? You know you're standing without any pants right?" She noticed he wasn't reacting to anything, just standing still in a daze. "Onyx, fix his pants please." she said as the magical A.I made another pair of pants for the teen.

Now that he was dressed, she stepped around to his front and blinked at his face. His helmet and gas mask was thrown to the side, leaving his face visible.

"Snnrk" Amber held back her laughter as she looked at Wave's face. His eyes were staring up at something only he could see as his mouth was stuck open in a perpetual 'O'. Snapping a couple pictures until she was satisfied, she ordered Onyx again. "Onyx, snap him out please."

[Administering 300,000 volts] An arc of electricity was seen sparking from Wave's body, however it wasn't enough to phase him.

[Second attempt: Administering 2,000,000 volts]

"Ah!" Wave jumped back with a squeal as he felt a shock course through his body, jolting him back to reality.

"Welcome back lover boy. So how are you feeling?" his sister asked with a smug grin.

"Amber? I feel... I feel... I don't know." he blinked for a moment as he got his bearings. "I just feel... really chill right now."

"Right? Don't you also feel more confident?"

"I guess?" he said questionably before inspecting himself for a moment with a small smile.

"Boss, please don't brush off your employee's concerns. Especially since I'm your only employee right now." 21 walked into the room causing Wave to snap his neck towards her. "Oh right, I forgot to thank you. I hope I can count on you in the future in case your sister shirks her responsibilities as the current C.E.O. I'm Doctor. 21, it's a pleasure to meet you." She held out her hand.

"Oh.. uh it was nothing. You can count on me, I guess. Although I don't actually know what my position here is." Wave responded with a slight blush.

"Enough acting like a lovesick puppy." Amber rolled her eyes. "Anyway I really should give you a position. I'll just make one up, congratz you're promoted to Head of Special Operations and Recruitment." She decided with a nod

[For gaining your first new Employee: Gained 5 Tech points. Currently 6 points are available. Future new employees will give 1 Tech point]

"Which means we can open more places than just the cafeteria and landing hangers." Wave said thoughtfully as the only places that he noticed were open was those two.

"5 points isn't enough for anything big though." The blue haired boss said as she considered her options.

"If I may request, could we open up my lab again? Even if we don't have enough to open up the digistruct modules, I can still modify your equipment without the facilities as I've worked here long enough to understand how they work."

"Wait if you know how they work, then shouldn't the facilities be unlocked already?" Wave asked, putting his mask back on. He remembered one of the possible methods to unlock a facility was to either understand how the tech works themselves or recruit someone that does.

"It's because she's excluded from the count due to our father since she was already working here when he was around."Amber clarified "Anyway as much as I'd love to get other facilities back online, getting one of our only employees back to work is more important." she admitted before heading towards the Doctor's lab.

"Thank you, this time away from work was honestly boring me to death." 21 smiled at the thought of doing something for once.

Arriving at the entrance to the lab, Wave watched as his sister tapped the interface on the small screen by the door.

[3 Tech points used. 3 Tech points remaining.] Onyx's voice sounded from the speaker before the transparent barrier shut down.

The lab was pretty spacious, filled with machinery and other hardware. There was a desk in the far side of the room from the door that was a bit messy and even a small shooting range in a corner. A few unfinished projects were hanging around the room ranging from android bodies to futuristic looking guns.

"It feels great to be able to step back in my own lab." 21 said as she moved towards her desk.

"Hey, what did you bring with you?" The blue haired boss asked towards her brother. Wave seemed to be interested in looking at the all the interesting unfinished projects around the room.

"Oh uh, I got this." he said taking out a dark looking handle. The guard snapped down, allowing the red demonic looking sword to ignite. Arcs of red light expanded outwards from the blade for a moment as Divine words light up on the blade. "It's a replica of the Crucible sword from Doom that Mom and I made together." The two females blinked at the slight invisible pressure emitted from the demonic looking sword.

"Fascinating, I can't even move my hand close enough to touch it. It's as if there's an invisible barrier around it." Dr. 21 noted as she tried to inspect the demonic light saber.

"... Anything else?" Amber asked carefully, wondering if her brother had brought something else that she could work with.

Wave shook his head, although he had other stuff he made with his mom back in his room on display, he had never actually used any of them before. He thought having a lightsaber/sword would be enough since that was all his dad ever taught him.

"Any preference of firearms?" she asked.

"Uh, I always wanted to use a shotgun." he said a bit hesitantly.

"21?" the CEO turned to the woman.

"I don't have the equipment for elemental rounds, but I can do the standard ammo regeneration." the doctor explained after a moment of thought.

"It'll have to do for now." Amber nodded as they were really limited at the moment.

"If you're going to be going out, I need you to actually make it obvious that you're using our brand." she explained as the doctor moved the gun to another table.

"Like this. This is my personal gun." She pulled out a sleek looking steel blue handgun with the A-Tech symbol on it. "Try it out while she works on yours." she handed it over much to his excitement.

Wave moved over to the single lane shooting range with a stationary target. He inspected the gun for a moment noting that it sort of looked like a small smg than a pistol before taking aim. To his surprise, 4 copies of the handgun appeared floating beside him.

"Aversis Tech specializes in laser blasters and ammo efficient guns in many ways including more bullets per shot, regenerating ammo, and lighter carryweight. Not all of our guns are energy based though." His sister explained on the side as he was sort of geeking out. "There are two modes to that pistol, one is concentrated fire which will have all the extra guns shoot towards where you're aiming, and spread fire which just shoots in whatever direction you are currently aiming at."

Quick consecutive gunshots sounded out like an automatic rifle being let loose. This went on for a good 20 seconds before Wave finally stopped. His sister stared blankly with her mouth open as if in shock.

"...You missed! How did you miss every shot!? The gun allows for 20 seconds of continuous fire at max before it has to regenerate the clip and you somehow missed every shot!" Amber said incredulously as if she couldn't comprehend what she was seeing.

"I'VE NEVER FIRED A GUN BEFORE! DAD ONLY TAUGHT ME SWORD STUFF!" Wave cried out indignantly as he was embarrassed of his complete failure to hit the target. Today was the first time he had ever shot anything.

"How are you going to advertise our brand if you miss every shot!?" she hollered as she slapped her face with a sigh.

"I mean... I can practice?" he offered hesitantly.

"Well, perhaps it's a good thing he'll be using a shotgun then." Dr. 21 walked over with his shotgun in hand. The gun looked surprisingly simple, single barrel shotgun with an oddly large grip.

"You're done already?" he asked with genuine surprise. It hadn't even been 10 minutes, yet she was already finished.

"All I did was install an automatic digistruct function for basic slugs. So you shouldn't be running out of bullets as long as you don't spam the trigger like a Jakobs and surpass the bullet regeneration." She said while handing back the weapon. "Unfortunately I don't have the technology on hand to add a secondary function to it unless we can open the other facility." she explained as he was shooting it at the target and actually landing a few hits since it was a shotgun.

"It'll have to do for now." Amber said, swiping back her handgun.

"Don't we have another 3 points to use though?" Wave asked as he remembered her only spending 3 points for this room.

"That will be used on opening the first level of the comms relay. 21, get me a drone with a video feed ready. Come with me little brother." She ordered, walking out of the room leaving the doctor to do her work.

Wave followed her sister, letting his sword and gun disappear back into his pip boy. The two made their way to a different floor of the ship with an elevator. Oddly enough they eventually reached a room that wasn't locked out with a barrier.

Looking around the room, Wave noted humanoid looking suits on display cases lined neatly on both sides of the hallway. There were 35 display cases at the moment, however one was currently empty.

"Warframes?" He muttered out loud recognizing them from a game he once played for a short time.

"Dad was a fan of the game at one time so he personally made them. Of course they're locked so they can't be remotely controlled, but oddly enough dad didn't put a lock on manually using them." Amber explained as she walked up next to him.

"I thought Warframes couldn't be worn. I remember they had to be controlled or something." He remembered the Tenno either had to phase inside them or control them from their little chamber.

"Well dad liked the idea of wearing them as suits, so he made it that way."

"If you can just wear them, couldn't you just use one yourself?" he asked out loud. Although he assumed that the missing suit was because she had one herself.

[Your sister is unfortunately no longer capable of fitting inside her Warframe anymore.] Onyx explained before she could explain.

"You're really on my case about my weight aren't you, you little shit." She rolled her eyes.

[I simply worry for your health Master Amber. Gentler methods did not work, thus I am simply 'rubbing it in' as you say.]

"Anyway pick one. Onyx should save it as a function for you to use whenever you need."

"Man I never really had a favorite among these since I didn't play that long." He said unsure as he glanced around at the various options.

[If it helps, your father once used Frost Prime as his primary frame.] Onyx suggested as Wave turned to the black suit with gold accents. It looked like it had a sleek robe and it's head had 3 gold rings covering it.

"Well, might as well." Wave shrugged choosing his father's old suit.

"Excellent, now I have your first job ready for you." Amber smiled in a way that made her brother back off as she looked sort of sinister at the moment.

Within the Hyperion space station. A lanky man in a black business suit and red tie tapped his feet as he waited for someone. Soon after the door opened with a hiss as someone stepped in.

"John, what's this I hear about you attempting to tamper with the CL4TP units which are hyperion owned?" The current CEO and President of the Hyperion corporation asked his employee with a deep frown as he looked down at the man who would become Handsome Jack in the future.

"What? I don't know where you heard such slander from Mr. Tassiter but I would never-" Jack was cut off as the emergency sirens started blaring out loud.

[ALERT: An intruder is on the base. All security personnel are to report to the-ZZZZZZZ] Much to the two men's surprise and slight dread. The signal seemed to be jammed until another voice came on.

[Hello corporate slaves of Hyperion. I'm sure you recognize my voice, because I'm positive that this isn't the first time you've heard it.] A female voice came as the technical team weren't sure how their coms have been taken over in their own base.

"No...." Tassiter said with dread as a shadow fell on his face.

[That's right Tassy, it's me. I said I'd come for you after I was done with Atlas and I tend to make due on my promises.] The voice chuckled with clear ridicule and disdain.

"Shut off the coms damnit!" Tassiter yelled into a microphone on his desk.

[Ah-ah-ah Tassy. You see I've recently started a new hobby. I've got that Atlas bastard's arm mounted on the wall of my office and I just found that I had to have the whole set! Don't worry, my little brother won't kill you. As long as you don't struggle too much as he collects your arm!]

*BOOM* A large explosion rocked the entire space station causing the two to fall to the ground.

"What the hell was that!?" Jack shouted in confusion

"Damn it I need to get off this station!" Tassiter growled as he stood up and pressed a button on his desk. However to his dread, the button that was supposed to reveal an escape pod didn't do anything.

[Hehahahaahahaha! Did you think I would just let you leave Tassy? My little brother isn't leaving there without your arm!] Amber laughed maniacally over the speakers that was heard through out the entire station.

*SSSSSNNNNGGG* The sound of disintegrating metal hissed out from the steel door as the two turned towards it. A red blade of pure energy was seen slicing through, creating a smaller makeshift entrance. The searing metal fell down with a thud that rocked the office.

The two men watched as a large man in a black colored suit step through with an Aversis Tech symbol was visible on it's back. The Warframe made it so that Wave looked like he was around 6'4 instead of his regular 5'7. His red crucible sword dimly lit the room in a red light as the ceiling lights cut off.

A tiny cube hovered behind him with a lens as if it was recording everything.

Jack wisely chose to step away from the giant looking suit that slowly stepped towards his boss who was backed up in a corner.

Tassiter watched with growing horror as each of his steps were accompanied by a thud that was growing louder. In the end he couldn't tell if the thud was coming from his rapid heart beat or Wave's footsteps. With nowhere to go, the giant cornered the CEO of Hyperion.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Jack would never forget Tassiter's screams that day as he sometimes recalled them fondly.

[To the people at Vladof and Dahl. Know that you're next.] Amber's voice continued to speak reaching out to every available communications relay.

The video feed of Wave storming the Hyperion base was displayed across the galaxy. This was a message from the new Aversis Tech CEO that she was coming back with a vengeance.

[My father once had a single statement to the people and all his competitors when he first set up this company.]

It finally reached the moment where Wave sliced off the Hyperion President's arm.

[Aversis Tech is and will always be. The greatest in the universe.] The message was made clear on that day.

TWO MONTHS LATER

"I'm back." Wave yelled out making his presence known in his sister's office despite it not being necessary. He had been sent on a mission to cut off the founder of Dahl's arm. However after his sister's galaxy wide message, his target had decided to go into hiding. He had been forced to spend two months tracking him down, but he finally found the man.

"Welcome back sir." A droid standing guard by the door greeted.

"Good to be back. Also you look amazing again!" he gave a thumbs up to his sister who now looked like a super-model.

"Welcome back, if you would hand it here please." His sister brushed off the compliment and gestured, prompting him to hand over the arm encased in ice.

Two months after her declaration, she had spent most of her time researching the time-line and universe that her brother had said they were in. When she wasn't researching or helping her brother track down their competitors, she had spent time burning off the fat off her body. After a month with the help of her demi-god physique, she had restored her appearance to it's prime.

"You know it's a good thing Dahl's military is so spread out, honestly that was harder than I expected compared to Hyperion anyway."

"Stanton Dahl did good work with his military and It's to be expected since Hyperion's base doesn't have the robot army yet so their military might isn't that impressive compared to the others at the moment." She gave praise as she placed Stanton's arm next to two other arms in their own displays labeled Hyperion and Atlas.

Back when she was hunted down by Dahl, Vladof and Atlas. Hyperion did not contribute in the physical pursuit, instead they focused on running Aversis Tech out of the market. The company didn't sell just guns, they also sold drugs, energy cells, and other products. Currently Dr. 21 was in charge of getting them back on the market.

"I'll be honest, I'm not sure if I can get Ivan Vladof's arm. Their military force is more concentrated in one place compared to Dahl. Also I am pretty sure they are expecting me to come at this point." Wave said worriedly. On his travels he had seen some Vladof propoganda painting Aversis Tech as the 'oppressors' that are coming.

"True however it also means that unlike Stanton, Ivan won't try to hide. He's not the type of man to hide, I've kept watch and he's been recalling most of his army in the past few weeks. He's planning on taking us head on." Amber hummed in agreement, yet she didn't seem concerned.

"I could sneak my way in since Onyx can cloak me." he suggested, if head on fights aren't viable then stealth could work.

"You still don't get it."Amber shook her head. "What we need is to send a message that Aversis Tech is still the best even without dad around." She explained. "But don't worry little bro, I have a plan. It'll just take a bit of planning and preparation." she smiled.

"Oh? I'd love to hear it." he said with interest.

She explained that Jack would be heading the Elpis soon which meant that the Pre-sequel was starting soon. She wanted him to stealthily head there and recruit some certain people that would be a waste not to recruit. It was then that Wave was reminded that he was also Head of Recruitment. Which was weird since he didn't really talk to people much during his job, since it mainly just consisted of Assault building A then building B until you find who you're looking for.

"So were just gonna ignore Vladof for now?" he asked with a raised brow.

"For now, but don't worry. I'll make sure he knows to expect us in time." she smiled confidently while playing with her blue hair.

On the site of the Vladof home world. There were hundreds of thousands of people within this city that had the appearance of a large-scale military base. On the largest building, a ringing sounded informing people of the showing of the daily announcement. The sea of people in military outfits moved about before turning their attention to a giant screen on the central building.

[In these trying times... The Vladof corporation is certain of one thing. THEY ARE COMING!]

[The Aversis dogs think they can simply walk all over us. BUT WE WILL SHOW THOSE OPPRESSORS WITH OUR HIGH FIRE RATE WEAPONS AND TAKE BACK OUR FREEDOM!]

[WE WILL BURY THEM UNDER AN AVALANCHE OF LEAD! AND AS THEY ARE DRIVEN BACK, THEY WILL SEE ONE BRAND OF WEAPON! IN THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO HAVE DEFEATED THEM!]

[VLADOF! VLADOF!! VLADO-ZZZ] However to everyone's surprise, the feed cut off and was replaced by the image of a blue haired girl with her back turned to the camera. When she turned around, everyone was entranced by the white 'X's on her violet eyes for a moment.

[Aww, it's cute that you think your little self hype will make any difference. But you did have one thing right, Ivan Vladof.] She stood in front of a large framed window showing vastness of space behind her. Her attire consisted of form fitting clothing that hugged her figure and a long black coat with the Aversis Tech symbol displayed on it's back.

[In three months. I will be coming for that arm, personally.] She stated with a soft smile before gesturing to her curvy figure.

[Try not to stay up at night thinking about all this, you'll get to see it up close and personal, very soon.] She winked before the feed cut off.

BACK IN THE UNDERWORLD

"HONEY, OUR BABY BOY GOT HIS FIRST BJ!" Hessian declared proudly with tears in his eyes. He was truly afraid that his son's addiction to pornography would stunt his ability to find love.

"Isn't it too soon though?" Ereshkigal asked a bit unsure.

"Nonsense, when I was his age I-" he was cut off as the sound of space tearing open sounded out near them. Multiple men in black suits and shades stepped out of the portal with their guns pointed towards the him.

"FREEZE FBI!"

"DON'T MOVE FREAK!"

"YOU'RE GOING AWAY FOR A LONG TIME PUNK!"

"Hessian Aversis von Schweinorg. You're coming with us." A bald agent said with a megaphone.

"What!? But I didn't do anything this time!!" Hessian cried out indignantly

"Oh? Did you think we didn't know about what happened with your son?"

"But he doesn't count as a multiversal entity right now!" Hessian argued

"Ah but you the father, ARE A MULTIVERSAL ENTITY!" The bald agent pointed dramatically

"That shouldn't count! I want my lawyer! Eresh! Call Phenex!" Hessian cried out indignantly as he was dragged off to be detained until his court hearing.

The Goddess simply blinked and sighed before grabbing her phone to make some calls as if this had happened before.

Author's notes: My god, you actually read this far. What the hell is wrong with you?
