Violent interactions

'Do I go in or not...' I thought to myself, standing in front of a building that presented itself as an internet cafe. It was called A-Tech Cafe. However knowing what A-Tech actually does, I am 99% sure that there is some secret underground facility under this.

So I've only realized recently that Aversis Tech actually exists in this world. I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering Amber did say that our company extracts resources from doomed timelines.

Frankly, the only reason I'm hesitant to enter is because Aversis Tech is ultimately a company created by dad. I don't know why he made it, but just being reminded of him makes me feel like shit these days.

Which brings me to here. Standing outside the nearest A-Tech owned building in Nagazora, debating whether or not to enter every few days. Only to ultimately not enter and go back to the roof. Damn it this just pisses me off and I don't really know why.

"Wave-kun?" I nearly jumped in surprise before turning to the familiar voice.

"Oi, what did I say about stalking me?" I asked blandly towards the purple haired girl. Like me, she was wearing a Senba high school uniform except hers came with a skirt.

"Is it really stalking if we're friends?" Mei asked as if she hadn't done anything wrong.

"Yes! And were not friends, at best we are business partners or in a relationship where we use each other. I use you for food while you use me to scare away all the annoying little background characters that have nothing much to do with their lives other than talk shit." I bluntly stated the situation yet she didn't seem phased by it for some reason despite being a damn drama queen. It took me a week to realize why she approached me.

Apparently other students have been little assholes and harassing her after her dad got jailed or something. I don't really know, and I didn't really care much. But it works perfectly for me, she can use me as a walking idiot repellant while I can use her for food. Simple as that.

"Well, what are you doing here? You're not trying to steal again are you?" She asked as she looked at me sternly. Apparently she doesn't like how I sometimes steal supplies for myself. It's a cruel world out there! Gotta do what you gotta do!

"Woman do I look like I need to steal!?"

"You live on the roof of the school." she retorted

"That has nothing to do with this, besides I've got a pretty sweet setup there. No need to be jealous." How many people can say they got a base on their school roof. I don't even need to migrate to school, I'm already there!

"Your walls collapsed a couple days ago, now you just sleep on the bed with a tarp over your head." She stated causing me to flinch a little. It was true, the four walls I had collapsed on me when I was napping. Damn things nearly crushed me.

I slightly narrowed my eyes for a moment."... You've gotten better at holding a conversation with me." I commented as she wasn't capable of keeping up a conversation with me when we first met. Seriously she used to be so quiet that I could chill in peace without having to worry about her making any noise. Now she doesn't hesitate to rebuke me at every turn.

"I got used to the feeling of your presence."

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

"Nothing, by the way why are you loitering outside of this place? You know some people are beginning to notice your suspicious behavior." She pointed around as some randoms did seem to be looking my direction and whispering.

"Tsk, people need to mind their own damn business." I clicked my tongue before marching off.

"Eh? You're not going in?" She seemed surprised as she looked towards the cafe and back to me.

"I never said I wanted to go in." I rolled my eyes.

"Really? You looked like you really wanted to go in though."

"I miss when you couldn't talk back to me."

"I'm sorry Wave-kun but you're usually in a better mood when I do, you actually have a genuine smile."

I stopped for a moment before raising my hand to my face. It morphed into a scowl before I continued my march.

"You know, you're a lot more tolerable to others when you aren't frowning like that." She continued to follow along with her hands clasped behind her back.

"Shush Mei, I'm brooding."

I refuse to admit that I appreciate having someone to talk to.

After a couple hours, Wave had split up with Mei as she had something else to do. So he was planning on making his way to the arcade to kill some time and maybe scam Bronya for some more cash if she was there. Unfortunately he was greeted by a literal cannon to the face and judging by the light emitted within the barrel, it was charging up.

"So you're the little brat that bullied my kid." A blonde lady with a military-like dress that cut off on one side showing her nice thighs. Besides the high tech cannon pointed at his face, the other odd thing Wave noticed was that she wore a literal white cape that was detatched from her shoulders.

"Not impressed, I've seen bigger." Wave didn't flinch at the literal cannon in his face. He was pretty sure he could dodge it since he knew the shot would be coming.

The blonde noted his nonchalance before switching tactics. "Wave Aversis, date and place of Birth unknown, Age estimated to be 16, affiliated with Aversis-Tech yet you live on your school's roof for some unknown reason. Troubles at home I'm guessing?"

"None of your business." he narrowed his eyes at her conjectures. "If you wanna play it like that, I can start listing off shit about you Cocolia. Tell me does Bronya know about what happened to her parents after you escaped that holding cell?"

The whirring sounds of coalescing energy particles got louder. "You're playing a dangerous game there Aversis." Cocolia nearly growled at the boy.

"Try it bitch I'm immortal, but I'm not sure about you." Wave sneered at her as if daring her to fire.

Cocolia wasn't sure if he was bluffing or not considering the information he had presented so far. On one hand he was connected to the mysterious Aversis Tech who had appearances in every Honkai war to date. Their tracks have always been traced to things such as inciting small wars by secretly supplying weapons to one side and reaping the benefits after it was over. It was only recently that they had made a more public appearance by selling commercial goods, but she knew that the organization was dangerous.

Noticing how she hadn't blasted him yet he continued to press."Let's take 10 steps back, are you really willing to risk going to war with us right now? Shouldn't you be more focused about saving that little girl from the quantum sea?" He wanted her to be more wary of Aversis Tech and by proxy, him. The more information that he shouldn't know of, the more that she will attribute it to Aversis-Tech's information network.

A moment passed until the cannon's light dimmed down. "If you keep bullying my kid, I don't care how much resources I have to put in to wipe you off this planet." Cocolia warned before walking away.

After watching the busty blonde get in her car and drive off, Wave actually let out a breath of relief. "Damn, that was close." he muttered out loud. He knew he would be fine, but he was afraid it would ruin his deal with his sister to just get by the school year.

"What was close?"

"AH SHIT WHAT THE HELL BRONYA!?" Wave jumped up in fright as he didn't feel her approaching.

"The Bronya has just arrived."

"Need to put a bell on you." Wave grumbled

"The Bronya is here for a rematch." Bronya stated in her usual monotone.

"Ah, well i just met your caretaker. I have to say she's a bit... eccentric." he attempted to find a word to describe the lady that just had a cannon to his face.

"Matushka is very protective."

"I noticed, anyway Cocolia made it clear that she doesn't want us betting money."

"Does this mean that Wave does not want to fight the Bronya?"

"Oh don't worry, we can still fight. But since we can't bet money anymore... how about we bet favors then?" he suggested still wanting to make a profit off this.

"The Bronya agrees." She was confident that she would be able to win this time.

'Heh, sucker.' Wave grinned evilly in his mind.

It was the end of the day and Wave was chilling on his bed that was situated on the roof. There were four poles sticking out of the ground with a tarp spread above them. All in all he was feeling pretty chill, that is until the door to his roof opened.

"Wave-kun?" a familiar purple haired girl stuck her head out the door.

"Mei? It's the end of the day, the sun is literally going to set soon. Shouldn't you be at home?" He said while gesturing towards the setting sun on the horizon.

"Sorry to bother you, a kouhai of ours wanted to meet you when I mentioned you."

"You do realize I hate people right?"

"Just give it a chance, she's a nice girl."

"Ugh, fine but don't blame me when she runs off traumatized." he rolled his eyes and adjusted himself to lay on his side with his head propped up on his hand.

"Kiana-chan, you can come up now."

Wave blinked at the name when his eyes widened in recognition before his expression morphed into a glare. The girl had white hair that was done in braided twin tails, light blue eyes and a Senba high uniform. The two locked eyes as a flash of recognition appeared.

""YOU!"" They both shouted before charging at each other.

In the next moment, the girl's legs and Wave's arm collided into a stand still keeping their eyes locked with each other.

"Eh!?" Mei looked completely bewildered at the two immediately resorting to violence upon seeing each other.

"Last time you got the jump on me with a cheap shot, don't expect it to happen again." Wave said still glaring after they put distance with each other.

"Who said I needed a cheap shot to protect Mei-senpai from you!" Kiana glared back as she got ready for the second round.

"Then bring it on tuna girl!"

"Who are you calling tuna girl, fish eyes!" She retorted referring to the way his eyes looked dead.

"STOP!" Mei shouted, getting between the two before they could charge at each other again. "Why are you two fighting?! You just met!"

"But Mei-senpai, he's a thief and a pervert!"

"She kicked me out of nowhere and pulled a gun out on me!"

"Because you were trying to rob someone and you grabbed me like a pervert!"

"That was an accident! We were in the heat of battle!"

"Enough! Sit down both of you." The two somehow ended up getting scolded by the purple haired girl again.

Before they could protest, Mei glared at the two again killing their protests before deciding to sit down at their positions.

"Now tell me what happened, maybe it's just a big misunderstanding. Kiana-chan you start."

"Oi, why does she get to go first?" Wave asked a bit irritated.

"Lady's first, besides you do have a bad habit of stealing things." she retorted as Kiana stuck out her tongue at him.

"Tsk sexist." he grumbled with his arms crossed.

"Kiana, you may start."

A COUPLE MONTHS AGO

Kiana Kaslana was wandering around in thought before she heard a sudden sound of something loud hitting the ground. She turned and noticed she was in front of a convenience store, however her eyes caught something strange.

There was a figure at the counter, it's body was covered in some kind of dark smoke that looked a bit like a horror movie monster. It was then that she realized that the cashier had fallen back onto the shelf as merchandise scattered the floor, his head was bleeding out.

It was obvious that the big dark thing was a bad guy. So she ran at the dark monster and jumped into the air with a battlecry.

"Guah!" The ariel dynamic entry kick landed as a teen was launched out of the dark haze. "What the hell?!" The gray haired teen who was Wave cursed as he dropped some supplies that were in his pockets.

"Kiana Kaslana is here to stop you in the name of justice!" She continued her assault, however this time the teen dodged each of her quick strikes.

"Grr stop dodging!"

Wave didn't reply, however he narrowed his eyes and aligned himself just on the side of her high kick before grabbing her leg with his left hand and raising his other hand to throw to the wall.

However he didn't account for the positioning as his hand reached her groin, the two actually widened their eyes in that split moment in realization as a red blush sprouted on the white girl's face. Too late to stop, Wave continued raising his hand anyway as his palm got a handfull of the girl's nether region.

Kiana went flying through the air however righted herself with a few flips. The girl didn't move as she stood there with her shoulders shaking and her eyes shadowed by her hair.

Wave blinked as he kept opening and closing his palm.

"You..." Kiana began speaking as Wave turned back to her. "YOU PERVERT!" She immediately took out two pistols.

However in the next moment, she noticed that Wave had literally disappeared as if he teleported away.

"And that's what happened." Kiana had tears in her eyes as her hand covered her crotch area. "Mei-senpai he's a dangerous pervert! You need to get away from him or he'll molest you too!"

"I already said that was an accident and it was in the heat of battle!"

"Liar, you made me feel things that I didn't understand!"

in response, Wave just facepalmed.

"Wave-kun, is what she said true?" Mei turned to him

"It was basically what happened, however I didn't assault the cashier."

"Then why was he on the ground with blood coming out of his head!" Kiana pointed in accusation

"Okay I admit that I was indeed stealing, however I didn't assault the guy."

FLASHBACK

Wave was in the convenience store grabbing whatever supplies he could fit in his jacket without being noticed before he realized something. He should ask for directions to Senba High. So before leaving he went up to the cashier who was distracted with reading a magazine to ask.

"Excuse me, but can you tell me where Senba Highschool is located?" He tried to ask politely.

"Oh sure, it's- GAHH!" The cashier looked up from his magazine only to see a spectre of death looming over him. It was so frightening that he stood up quickly and fell back onto the wall causing a bunch of merchandise to fall down.

"Oh shit, you alright?" Wave asked, noting that some of the stuff fell on his head. The cashier was knocked out cold with a bleeding head.

"I better get out of here..." he decided to leave before he got incriminated for assault. However before he could turn to leave he raised his head at the sound of a battlecry.

"GUAH!" In the next moment he felt a foot colliding into his head, sending him flying to the wall.

"And that was what happened." Wave finished explaining his side of the story.

"I can believe that happening." Mei nodded, knowing full well on how afraid most people are of him when he's in a bad mood.

"He was still stealing! See Mei-senpai, he confessed his crimes!" Kiana pointed out.

"Kiana-chan, although he steals, he's not really a bad person when you get to know him."

"Debatable. *SMACK sfx*" Wave retorted before holding his head in pain from being quickly smacked by Mei.

"Somehow I doubt that." Kiana said still glaring daggers at Wave who returned the glare.

"Now let's put the past behind and make up. Shake hands you two."

"'What!?""

"I said shake hands." The purple haired girl gave a nice smile that looked unsettling for some reason.

The two felt incredibly unnerved by that smile as a chill ran down their backs. Turning their eyes away from the other, they both reached out their hands in a reluctant hand shake.
