So the saiyans will be getting introduced soon , just not sure how I should introduce them. Anyways, this chapter will cover how our main character and others of his race came to earth. The team will learn about the origins of our main character, who's name will be revealed this chapter. It's exhausting having to refer to him in the 3rd person without giving his name away. Also forgot to mention this but, since their are demons in this story.. I'll be using some inspiration from Fairy Tail's and Black Clover's versions of Demons/Devils. If in a future part of the story you recognize a scene similar to a scene in Black clover, just know that I'm drawing parts of inspiration from Black Clover, not creating a carbon copy of it.
Disclaimer: I don't own DBS or YJ/JL and their characters, those belong to their respective creators. I only own the oc's. I also have permission via ComparedDreadx to use both Tarro and Daikon in my stories. Full ownership of those 2 oc's belongs to him.
Martian Manhunter prepared to enter the mind of the young man, but looked towards Supergirl. Following his colleagues line of sight, Superman sighed and nodded to him. Supergirl was obviously concerned about this young man they saved, and it wouldn't hurt if she was able to see just what was causing the boy such anguish.
The martian then signaled to the girl to come over to him. Supergirl looked confused at first, but she eventually took to the air as she joined Martian Manhunter as he entered the young man's mind. The others watched as the two worked on seeing into the teen's memories.
*Flashback*
Location: Planet of Arkynor: Xenia, Capital of the Albanar Territory.
It was a somewhat normal day in the capital of Xenia, this particular day. Streets were busy and bustling with Elven folk walking to and from their homes.
Out in the fields, a young dark elf with long dark blue hair was being trained by his father. This young elf's name was Odyn Hunter- Berethon Albanar, the heir apparent to the Throne of Albanar. His father was the current king of the Albanar Territroy, Berethon Alabanar. He was also dark skinned like his son, with fiery orange eyes, blue hair and a beard. Albanar, like the other Territories of the Elves were a mix of both Dark Elves and the lighter skinned Woodland Elves.
In fact, all of the Elves that lived on Arkynor had the same color of eyes. All Arkynorean Elves had the ability to use Flame magic and Ki. Odyn was a rare type that had been born with natural ability to use Flames, but could also use Light Magic an addition to the Ki they possessed. As the two continued to train, Odyn was getting frustrated for not being able to hit his father.
"Dad! Why are you taking it easy on me?," Odyn asked.
Berethon chuckled and ruffled his son's hair.
"Relax, son. You're getting yourself too worked up. Allow the movements and footwork to come naturally to you. I'm simply using your anger against you. That's why it seems like I'm not trying.," Berethon explained to his son.
A look of realization came over Odyn's face as he considered his father's words. He bowed in apology.
" forgive my impatientience father. I would like to continue, if I may.," Odyn said slightly bent over in apology.
Berethon chuckled and smiled at his eldest son.
"Don't worry about it too much son. After all, you will be leading our people someday. This was just another step in becoming a leader your people can be proud of in the future.," Berethon said.
Odyn was tall for a dark elf and was very near to an adult in size. Dark Elves typically were around the size of humans, but Odyn was slightly taller than his father now was. Since elves aged much more slowly than humans did, a dark elf wasn't an adult until they were around 100 years in age. Odyn was very near that... in about another 50 years or so. Typically around the age of 20, Eleves stopped showing physical signs of aging.
In that aspect, their blood was coveted for being near immortal by other alien races. Yet for some inexplicable reason, they never had any problems with Kryptonians. Maybe... it was because their races were so similar and shared similar values and held the same views on several things. No one really understood why those two races got along so well, they just did.
Odyn wore a dark green headband that was strapped to his forehead with his Elven crown just above it, (like the one Ike has.. it's just green instead of blue or brown) a black hoodie, an army green parka (trenchcoat), steel gray pants, black boots, silver gloves, and had his gold and blue sheath for his sword strapped to his back.
His friend Baron was with him as the two were now instructed to spar with each other, using their ki. The two friends were just about to do that, when they were suddenly interrupted by a frantic Elven messenger.
"Your Highness! My King! Terrible news!," The messenger said.
Berethon turned to the messenger as he flailed to his feet.
"What is it soldier? Tell me what's happened.," Berethon said.
The messenger was about to speak, when a sudden tremor rocked the ground. The trio of Elves looked around wondering what the sound was.
"The capital! It's... It's under attack!," The messenger said.
The messenger never finished explaining due to what looked to be a bony appendage skewering him.
The creature that did the deed, looked alot like a bug in some ways. It had beady red eyes, huge black wings like a fly, but it had on the most bizarre armor with a strange symbol in the middle of its chest. It looked like an upside down omega sign. Berethon unsheathed his sword and ran it through the creature before it could blink. The Elves had unnatural speed so it looked like they just glided through the air.
Looking up, there were numerous holes in the sky and hundreds of thousands of these weird creatures coming from them.
"Baron, Odyn.. get to the others, I'll deal the insects here!," Berethon said.
"But Father, we can't leave you here to-," Odyn said before the king gave him a look.
It was a look he knew well, it left no room for argument. Odyn then straightened himself and saluted.
"Understood, my king. Please just... hurry back father.," Odyn said as they bolted towards the city.
The creatures seemed intent on getting the way, only for Berethon to use his power over flames to clear a path for them.
"NO YOU DON'T! Shining... Flare bomb!," Berethon shouted.
He opened his palm and shot out a spiral of Flames that burned away a section of the creatures. They began to close in on the young dark elves, only to be blown back by the ki attack Berethon threw forward and detonated like a bomb.
Any others that got in the way were swiftly dealt with by Odyn and Baron. Odyn thrust his hand forward as a dragon made from his gold flames burned a path forward. Baron infused his flame magic with ki to create small fire blades that exploded upon contact with any oncoming enemy.
Berethon smiled as he saw his son and Baron make it through the horde of strange creatures. He then refocuses as he puts his sword in front of his face and charges towards the hordes of enemies.
Xenia, a short time later...
Entering the city, the two dark Elves were met with a horrifying sight. Their eyes widened at what they saw, the entire city was in ruins with flames raging along burning buildings. There were bodies... countless bodies strewn all across the ground. Some were lying crushed under buildings, others were impaled on something, lying in pools of blood, or burned to charcoal.
Then there were the soldiers... they weren't even buried. There were dead Elven soldiers everywhere, hanging over walls, crushed under rubble, lying on the ground bleeding to death, it was horrible! Odyn curled his fist in anger at this.
"Who could've done this?," Baron asked equally as outraged.
"These people were innocent! Who ever did this... they are going to pay!," Odyn said gritting his teeth in anger.
"Calm down, my lord. Let's not be hasty, prince Odyn.," Baron said.
Odyn momentarily calmed himself, Baron was right. He needed to stay calm and keep a cool head. First thing was first, and that was to make sure his family was okay.
He turned to speak to Baron, but saw him shaking. Wondering what was wrong with his friend he looked and almost cursed under his breath at what he saw. There, in Baron's arms, was his friend's sister... Hailfire. He checked see if there was any breathing, sadly there was none. And what was worse, it seemed as though she was recently killed if the blood coming from her corpse was any indication. She'd been run through by something as evidence by the giant hole in her stomach.
"She's...," Odyn began before trailing off not wanting to say what he saw.
Baron wiped angry tears from his eyes as he punched the ground, cracking it. He'd failed his only family. First his father, now his sister had left him. Whoever did this, They were seriously messing with the wrong people!
"We.. We'd better check on your family.," Baron said.
No argument there. Just seeing the state Hailfire, Baron's sister, was in.. that left Odyn feeling more than a little worried about the safety of his own family. He could see that Baron was angry, that was his little sister for crying out loud! Baron softly laid down the lifeless body of his sister before closing her eyes and folding her hands. The fellow dark elf then rose to his feet and stared at his sister's lifeless corpse. He had tears streaming from his face as he looked at her while clenching his fist.
"I.. I'm sorry I couldn't save you, Hail... Whatever, whoever did this to you... they'll pay!," Baron said to himself.
Baron turned to Odyn with a determined look on his face as he spoke. Odyn nodded in agreement.
"Come on Baron, we'll make sure whoever did this suffers for it!," Odyn said.
Baron nodded as they headed deeper into the city.
Hundreds of the black winged creatures were seen chasing civilians who were attempting to escape. A Violet haired Elven Woman raced hid behind the ruins of a destroyed building. This woman was in fact Hyatan, the high Queen of the Elves in this country. She breathed heavily as she held tightly to her daughter.
Her daughter had tanned skin, fiery orang eyes, and dark crimson hair. Her armor was that of an Elven Knight with royal blue as the main color, it was followed by gold plating with a silver sheen to it. The armor went down to her feet. The Elven crown she wore was on her forehead, it brought out her vibrant hair and facial features. The armor she wore looked like they could be mistaken for clothes due to how light it was. This was Sarai, the youngest of the Albanar Royal Family.
Hyatan had purposely put her daughter to sleep so she wouldn't see all of the horrible things happening to their people. The queen looked around the corner to see the object of her people's turmoil... a gray skinned man with red eyes and midnight black armor that had a peculiar symbol on it. He had several of those black winged creatures surrounding him, looking for any survivors. Fortunately, she knew a bit of magic from her homeland in the Taizlan Woodlands to the Northeast of Albanar.
Hyatan was very careful not to be noticed as she began to chant silently in the tongue of her people. A small circle accompanied by Runes throughout it appeared as her hand touched the cobblestone streets of the Elven capital. She had to be quick in case this man, this tyrant, noticed her magic. Fortunately, more elves came out of the woodworks to confront this man and the creatures seemingly following his orders.
It was revealed to be a young elven woman with blonde hair with black highlights. She wore vibrant Emerald green and silver armor, complete with a shield and Vambrace. This was Sybyrh (cyber) Arkham, captain of the Elven Vanguard. Beside her was of course, Kannah Albanar, the eldest cousin of the royal family.
Kanna did not look happy at all, she was seen glaring at this gray skinned man. Sybryh seemed to know that she was angry, but held her back. She signaled for the others to do the same.
She walked up and stood a distance away from the man before speaking.
"Can I assume you are the one these... "creatures" call Darkseid?," Sybryh asked.
The man turned to face her before confirming her evaluation.
"Yes. I am.," Darkseid answered.
"Why have you come here and did this? We have done nothing to you that would earn such violent deaths to nearly two thirds of our people! Answer me, tyrant! Why would you do this?!," Sybyrh demanded and very nearly unleashing all of the magic she had stored inside of her.
To make an already tense situation worse, Darkseid simply chuckled and smirked before answering.
"Why you ask... the reason is quite simple. You Elves hold the key to a power I have been seeking. Your blood, your power, is valuable. They hold the key to eternal life. Through the sacrifice of your people, you all can become a part of something great
It will help me solve the mystery of the anti life equation.," Darkseid answered.
"I see... unfortunately for you, Arkynorean power cannot be stolen by simply wanting it. Arkynorean power is gifted to others, it can't be stolen if one party does not wish it so. I'm afraid you will find it very difficult to obtain such power from us that easily.," Sybryh told him.
This seemed to displease the Kryptonian, he turned and glared at Sybyrh. The Elven swordmaiden wasn't at all fazed by this, in fact, she just smirked at him amused she upset him.
"What's wrong? Did something I say upset you, "oh mighty God of Akopolis"?," Sybyrh asked sarcastically.
Instead of replying, the Kryptonian tried punching the elf warrior. Sybryh just shook her head and simply caught the fist, much to Darkseid's surprise. Sybryh then glared at him, causing an unseen force to blow the tyrant back. The Kryptonian skidded to a halt as he uncrossed his arms several meters away from where he was standing.
This seemed to annoy him as he went to attack again merely to notice that the woman who sent him flying was gone. Looking around, he tried pinpointing her location only to receive a devastating blow to his gut. This was courtesy of Sybyrh. The blow caused him to lurch over and grab his stomach in pain, this gave Sybyrh ample opportunity to hit him again. The blonde haired elf maiden then upper cut him in the chin, sending him skyward.
Reeling from the two blows Sybyrh dealt him, he failed to notice Kanna come from above. Not wasting a moment, she raised the her leg and axe kicked him hard to the ground. The ground shook from the impact he made upon landing, however, Darkseid never had time to even recover due to the painful blow he received to him stomach from Kanna. This pushed him further into the crater he made in the street as the black haired Elf maiden had her fist buried deep within his gut.
Kanna leapt away from him and rejoined Sybyrh, waiting for the tyrant to stand. Darkseid attempted to stand only to fall to a knee as he attempted to. This thoroughly confused him. Why could he suddenly not stand? It was at that moment, he realized what had happened. These girls... weren't normal. They did something to him and it was affecting the way he could move now.
"How could I take so much damage *coughs up blood* in just a few blows?! And.. why is it affecting me so much?!," Darkseid asked angrily.
Sybyrh clicked her tongue at the tyrant after hearing this from him. Was he really so stupid that he didn't realize the reason their blows affected him so much?
" Tch! You really are an idiot, aren't you Darkseid?," Sybyrh said disappointed in him.
"How dare you! Do you not know who I am? I am the conqueror of worlds, power incarnate, I am Dark-," He said before being cut off by Kanna.
"Yeah, and do we look like we care who you are? No, we don't! And frankly... WE DON'T CARE EITHER!," Kanna snapped at him.
"Buddy, you have a lot to learn about us Arkynoreans. You want to know why we can hurt you so much? It's simple. So simple that a toddler could understand! Why don't you ask your subordinates?," Sybyrh said angered.
Darkseid got to his feet again, prepared to use his omega beams to silence this rabble. Just as he was going to use them, they started walking away. Outraged, the Kryptonian charged them intending to end their lives. He would've except for one thing, that one thing was getting a faceful of a giant war hammer that came from seemingly out of nowhere.
Because it was so unexpected and his guard was down, Darkseid was launched by the weapon and into an already destroyed building. The building crumbled on top of him as a result of the impact he made by crashing into it. Seconds later, a pair of red beams from his eyes destroyed the rubble on top of him as he walked out of the dust cloud created by the explosion.
Looking around, he scowled when none of the Elves who confronted him were there. The ones who stood there now were just the typical elven soldiers. These brave Elven warriors were aware of the queen nearby, they were just buying time for her to escape. Fortunately, the pair who fought Darkseid had grabbed her and Sarai and were now far away. They smiled, knowing they were staring their inevitable death in the face.
They were bruised and bloody, and most likely had broken bones too. However, that never stopped them.
Darkseid looked at these soldiers and... he had to commend their bravery. The bravery and valor that these Elven soldiers showed to him was... admirable he had to admit, even though it wouldn't matter in the end.
"I have to commend you Elves, you certainly are very brave... if not foolishly so. You have my sympathy for your foolishness.," Darkseid said.
The Elves just glared daggers at him in response. They didn't take kindly to be patronized and that's exactly what Darkseid was doing.
"Tch, keep your sympathy you dictator! We don't need it! Take it just shove it down your own throat!," The Elven soldier said spitting on him.
"Very well then.," Darkseid said.
The Elves charged towards him, knowing they would die. The tyrant used his omega beams to completely wipe them out as he disintegrated them leaving their weapons embedded in the ground. The tyrant smiled at his work, content on now finding the last remaining elves on the planet at least. He was aware that some of them had escaped the planet however few.
He flew towards where he knew the royal family was heading. He'd defeat them, then enslave them. Royal Elves of this caliber were hard to find, they'd make excellent slaves. Satisfied with his plan, Darkseid took off towards his next destination.
Berethon managed to somehow fight through the hordes of winged demon like creatures and survive. Though, he was a little worse for wear himself. He had cuts on the side of his face and arms, while the rest of his attire was still intact.
From a distance, he saw Odyn and Baron. He was relieved they were okay. But he worried for the rest of his family. Where were they? He could only feel the magic of his wife, daughter, his son Roy, his niece Kanna, his eldest son Odyn, his son's friend, Baron, Sybyrh, and her two brothers. In all, only 9 survivors other than him and the ones who escaped the planet. That... was less then ideal.
"That's not good.. if what I sense is right.. there are fewer than a couple hundred of us left.," Berethon thought.
As he approached the two, he sensed the two were furious about something. He held his tongue from saying anything. When he reached them, he saw the object of both Odyn and Baron's anger.
Even he himself felt his blood boil at what he saw. Looking down, countless bloodied bodies of the kingdom's citizens were lying on the ground. As if that wasn't enough, his other 3 sons were among the dead. First was Banryu, who was on his knees with a giant hole through his chest, eyes still open. Next, was Ragnarok. He had obviously died defending someone as his arms were spread out, acting as a shield as countless claw marks and blades littered his body. Zerick was the next one.
There wasn't even a head left to see how he died. The youngest of the royal family's body was lying on the ground with the head disintegrated and only from the shoulders down remained. That wasn't even the end of it though. Borhdak, Zephyr, and Alek were the next three seen dead.
Alek was impaled and hanging through a metal beam, Zephyr's body had been sliced in half, and Borhdak... there was just his cloak hanging onto his weapon. There wasn't even a body left to bury. Only one emotion that all 3 dark elves there could be described. That emotion was unspeakable rage towards whatever being did this to them, their family, their people. What did they do to deserve this?!
Although he felt a rage like he'd never known before, Berethin knew that wasn't the answer. He couldn't get lost in his emotions right now. He spoke very calmly, though both teenaged Elves could tell that Berethon was just as furious.. if not far more than they were.
"Odyn, did you see your sister or mother?," Berethon asked trying to keep as calm as he could.
"No father, I haven't.," Odyn said through gritted teeth.
Just as he was about to ask his son another question, Sybryh, Zero, Valvedern, Kanna, and Hyatan with an unconscious Sarai were seen running up to them.
"There you guys are!," Kanna said before stopping and widening her eyes at seeing her dead brothers.
She dropped to her knees in sadness and began to punch the ground.
"No... No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! Not.. not you guys too... Why? Why my brothers?! A-Alek! Z-Zephyr! And *sniff* B-Borhdak... ugh.. I was supposed to protect you guys! Why, why did you have to go and die on me?!," Kanna sadly and angrily broke down in tears.
"Kanna... I'm so sorry dear...," Hyatan said comforting her niece.
"Is.. this really all that's left?," Zero asked in disbelief.
"It.. would certainly appear that way.," Valvedern said solemnly.
Just then, they heard clapping from above them. With flames racing along the destroyed ruins of the former elven capital and the sky black in color from the smoke and fire, the camera pans up to reveal none other than Darkseid himself.
The menace then floats down in front of them, having the gall to smile of all things. He looks towards Berethon.
"I can spare you of this and any more suffering if you will agree to come serve me. Become a part of something great.," he said.
Odyn's eyes widened in rage as he felt his blood boil and his magic begin to increase. The king sensed this and quickly turned to him.
"Odyn!," He shouted.
Odyn turned to his father, noticing the look on his face.
"Don't, son! It is not yet time.," Berethon calmly said.
Odyn relaxed as his surging power calmed itself and subsided. He balled his hand into a fist in anger as he looked at Darkseid.
Berethon looked to his family, then to his friends. He smiled sadly, knowing what must be done.
"Unfortunately, Darkseid.. I cannot do as you ask. To do so would forever doom my people.," Berethon said as he unsheathed his sword pointing it at the tyrant.
"I see. So it is death you have chosen. How unfortunate.," Darkseid said disappointed.
Berethon looked towards his family, he thrust his hand forward. A magic circle with clock like runes appeared underneath them. This gave way to a portal as he then smiled sadly at them.
"Berethon?," Hyatan asked confused.
"I'm sorry, but please dear... you all must live on. I leave the future in your hands.," Berethon said to her.
The Queen understood this, but she still didn't want to leave her husband behind. She knew he would die, but Berethon was well aware of this fact.
"Honey please, y-you can't! These two need a father!,"Hyatan tried arguing.
"Aya.. please. Don't make this harder for me.," Berethon said.
Hyatan's eyes widened. He hadn't called her that since they were teenagers, to hear her husband call her the nickname he gave her all those years ago made her realize the situation. She reluctantly nodded.
Berethon walked over to his wife and gave her one last kiss on the lips. It was then Hyatan knew.. she wouldn't see her husband again, he was going to die here.
"I'll come back to you someday... wait until then. Efrai naleth macaah Torii kazahaneth," Berethon whispered into her ear.
She smiled as Berethon walked back towards Darkseid and then closed his fist as they all fell into the portal before it closed.
The King of Elves then faced forward, knowing his death was certain. He spoke up again.
"I am ready Darkseid.," He said.
"Hm.. so you willingly choose death rather than to serve me?," Darkseid asked.
Berethon nodded. He then picked up a loose sword and tossed it in front of Darkseid. The tyrant looked at him curiously.
" use that. If I am to die.. I would rather it be in the way of my people. Besides, I know you're still feeling the effects of Elven magic. It's well documented that your kind are very weak to magic. I am simply leveling the playing field.,"Berethon said.
" Fine then. Berethon Albanar... King of the Elves, I will remember you and your people as brave warriors who passed into myth. I will grant you the death you deserve.," Darkseid said.
Berethon smiled and accepted his fate.
" My people will live on through my wife, kids, and my niece. My three friends and guards as well. They will defeat you and avenge our people in the future. I am ready.," The king said.
Darkseid picked up the sword and took his position. The two shifted ever so slightly before charging at each other. There was two slashes before the screen went black. When the two passed, blood spilled forth from Berethon as he slumped to his knees before falling to the ground lifeless.
The brave king of Elves was dead.
Darkseid didn't escape unscathed, he was cut as well. A large gash across his chest was the price he paid for killing the Elven King Berethon. The ruthless Kryptonian then turned before heading back to his ship. Fortunately, he did acquire some blood samples from a dead Arkynorean Elf. He'd have one of his subordinates study it and try to come up with a way to harness its power.
Taking off from the now empty planet devoid of life, he decided to do one last thing. He aimed his omega beams towards the core of the planet and fired. They ripped through the ground and quickly made their way to the core of the planet. It ruptured part of it , triggering an almost instantaneous explosion of the planet. Darkseid then made his way back to Akopolis soon after.
*Flashback end *
Supergirl had tears spilling forth from her eyes as she had to temporarily look away from Martian Manhunter. This caused the Martian to be abit concerned for the girl.
"Are you alright, Supergirl?," He asked.
"*sniffling* Y-yeah I'll be fine. *wipes away a few stray tears* It's just... that's heartbreaking what happened to him. That's so... sad...," Supergirl said.
She then landed back down on the ground with the others, looking down at the floor briefly before looking towards the boy again. Superman then got his cousin's attention by speaking up.
"Kara, what did you see?," Superman asked her.
Supergirl then turned to him with tears having streamed down her face at remembering what she saw.
"It... It was horrible. Kal, Darkseid... he took everything from him! His own family, his people, his city, even his planet, they were all taken from him by Darkseid!,"Kara told him.
Superman scowled at this. Now he understood, it was no wonder this mysterious teen the team found was angry at Darkseid! That.. man.. he litterally took everything from this teen, because of this he probably had so much pent up rage boiling inside of him right now that he didn't know what to do with it.
"Also..I found out that his name is Odyn Albanar. And, there are others like him here on earth, they're just spread across the world.," Supergirl said.
Wonder Woman then spoke up after this, now intrigued to learn more about what Supergirl saw through the boy's memories.
"So there are others like him then... Did you find out where they are currently?," Wonder Woman asked.
The maiden of might shook her head in response to this.
"Uh- uh. I didn't see anything where we could pinpoint exactly where they are. But...," Supergirl replied trailing off.
"But? You have an idea of where they may be don't you?," Wonder Woman asked.
"We'll need you to tell us, Supergirl. The League will need to investigate this.," Green Lantern said.
"Why? So you can lock them up for no reason?!," Supergirl replied scowling at him, Batman, and Superman.
"You have to understand, I have a responsibility to do this. I don't know what you saw, but if this boy and his people are a threat to the universe..,"Green Lantern explained before Supergirl interrupted him.
"No, you're the one who doesn't understand! Neither you or the lantern core truly understands what the Arkynoreans went through! I saw it!," Supergirl said before continuing.
"What Darkseid did to them... it was inhuman! They were peaceful people, despite being warriors. Darkseid attacked unprovoked, deciding it was better if they faded into myth. All because he was after their blood.," Supergirl said.
The league members raised an eyebrow at this, it confused them.
"He was after their blood?", The flash asked curiously.
Supergirl nodded.
After some time it was Starfire who spoke up, asking the question that was on everyone's mind.
"What could he be wanting with their blood?," Starfire asked.
"When I was able to see into Odyn's memories, it sounded as though Darkseid heard an Arkynorean's blood held the key to immortality. A stepping stone towards the power he's been seeking.," Supergirl replied.
"Their blood holds the key to immortality?," Superman asked confused.
"Yeah, at least that's what he heard. Darkseid may have thought this due to how long Arkynoreans lifespans are... they're 25 times longer than the average lifespan of a human is.," she explained.
"Hold up there... they're 25 times that of an average human life? That'd mean they would live to be around... 2,000?! Are you kidding me?!,"Robin said in surprise.
This caused the others eyes to widen in shock, they'd never heard of one race living for anywhere near that long!
"I see. If they love for that long, now I understand why Darkseid would be after their blood. It could also be disastrous if he obtains any of it.," Superman said.
Flash nodded and agreed with that sentiment. That would litterally be the absolute worse case scenario, especially if he figured out how to harness the power within Arkynorean blood to its truest extent.
Although Supergirl listened, she shook her head. This was due to something she knew that the others were not considering.
"Except for one thing, Kal... According to what I saw within the memories of Odyn, Arkynorean power is unique in the fact that it can't be stolen by just anybody. The user has to agree to lend their power to whoever is absorbing it.," Supergirl answered.
Superman and the others were confused again, that was until Martian Manhunter confirmed as much. He calmly reiterated what Supergirl and himself saw.
"She is correct. For some unexplained reason or another, the power of these Arkynoreans or Dark Elves as they're called can't just be absorbed and stolen by anyone. The person who is absorbing the power has to receive permission from the Arkynorean whom they're receiving the power from.," Martian Manhunter said.
Batman pondered this as he was trying to come up with a way to learn how their power worked. This was in case these Arkynoreans ever decided to turn on them. The vengeance of a nearly extinct race could be terrifying when they were backed into a corner.
"Batman, I can assure you this race wouldn't turn on humanity. They are very peaceful being, despite how strong they are.," Martian Manhunter told the caped crusader.
Wonder Woman looked to Supergirl as she asked her one last thing. With Green Lantern watching and listening to what Supergirl said, Wonder Woman asked her to be honest.
"Be honest Supergirl. Was there anything else you discovered?," Wonder Woman asked.
Supergirl nodded her head as she spoke up in response to Wonder Woman's Question.
"Yes, there was... one thing.," Supergirl said.
"What was it?," the older heroine asked her.
"I felt... their rage towards Darkseid. They had this.... deep, burning hatred for Darkseid specifically. I've never felt that amount of burning rage towards one person before, it... was overwhelming. Thing is... I think.. they just want to defeat him. I really didn't get the sense that they wanted to kill him. Once they defeat him, I feel as though they'd leave Darkseid's judgement up to either the league, or the Green Lantern Core.," Supergirl said.
Green Lantern eyed her before speaking as he walked up to the teenaged Kryptonian heroine.
"If you are wrong about this, I'll have to report it to my superiors. You know that, right Supergirl?," He said.
"Yes. I'm... aware of that. Please just give them a chance to prove it to you. And, their magic is the most effective way of weakening Darkseid.," She replied.
Green Lantern sighed. Supergirl was right, these Arkynoreans would be a major help in dealing with Darkseid. He had no choice but to trust that Supergirl knew of what she spoke.
"Very well Supergirl, I will hold you to that. And... I will see what I can do about explaining this to my superiors.," Green Lantern said.
"Thank you, Green Lantern.," She said smiling.
He nodded as the League members then decided to return to the watchtower via boom tube.
As soon as they left, Kara felt herself breathe a sigh of relief. That was really scary for her! Powergirl came over to her friend and smirked at her.
"I'm proud of you Kara. Don't mess this up.," she said smirking.
Kara's eyes widened as she realized what Karen( Powergirl) was indicating.
"Wha- K-Karen! It's not like that! I don't even know him that well yet!," Kara said madly blushing.
Kara realized her mistake too late. She gained a sly smile on her face at what her friend said. She was going to have fun teasing her friend about this. At the same time, she wanted to know what it was she saw.
"😏Yet?," Karen said teasing Kara.
"😳 wait! I- I didn't mean to-," Kara said trying to dissuade Karen from teasing her even more.
As she did this, she felt her whole face turning red in embarrassment.
"😏 You really have it bad for him, don't you Kara?," Powergirl teased.
"N-No! It.. isn't like that! I just think it's sad what Odyn and his people went through.," Supergirl answered still blushing.
Powergirl smiled as she spoke again.
"Relax Kara, I'm just teasing you.," Powergirl chuckled.
Supergirl pouted as she looked to her friend. She didn't like being teased like that by Karen. Reason was because she knew Karen would periodically bring something up that embarrassed her until she admitted that she felt a certain way.
"You sure have a funny way of teasing me, Karen.," Kara pouted.
"I'm sorry, okay?," Powergirl said.
Supergirl sighed, she just couldn't stay mad at Powergirl. Powergirl was her best friend after all, she smiled at her friend as she shook off the teasing from a moment ago.
"Alright. I can never seem to stay mad at you, so I'll forget you teased me this time.," Supergirl said to her friend.
"Still, I'm surprised Kara. You've... never been that adamant about something to where you'd fight the elder Leaguers before.," Powergirl said.
"Yeah... I guess, he (points to Odyn, who's still sleeping while suspended in mid air. ) reminded me of how I used to be when I was found by everyone.," Supergirl said.
Powergirl and Wondergirl nodded as they both stared at the Elven Teen who was suspended in mid air.
Meanwhile in another universe...
Location: Time Nest, Conton City
Year: ???
Time: about mid day
It was mid day as a group of time patrollers made their way towards the time nest at the request of a certain deity.
The group of familiar faces was revealed to be the following: Trunks Briefs, Son of Vegeta from a future timeline (19 years of age), Son Goten (18 years old) from another timeline, Bulla Briefs from a parallel timeline with where they were at (17 years old), Son Pan (16 years old) from a distant timeline similar to universe 7, Bulchi (19 years old) who was from a parallel apocalyptic future timeline and had barely escaped alive, Gogeta (19 years old) Bulchi's boyfriend who was also from the same parallel apocalyptic universe and had barely escaped.
The group of 6 time patrollers met two very famous ones, who were waiting for them. These two were cousins, Tarro, and Daikon. Bulla spoke up first, addressing the issue they all were wondering about.
"Daikon, do you know why all 10 of us were called here?," Bulla asked.
He looked at her and shrugged.
"Heck if I know. I'm just as confused as you all are as to why we've been called here.," Daikon answered.
Seemingly as if she heard their conversation the Supreme Kai of Time walked up to the group.
"Glad you could all make it.," The small kai said.
That gained the attention of the group as they turned to face the shorter kai. She then addressed the issue they all had on their mind.
"The reason you all are here is because you have been chosen for a mission. This one will take a quite a while to complete as the situation regarding this mission is... rather delicate at the moment.," the Kai said.
"What's the mission?," Goten asked.
"The mission isn't arequest from me this time.," She said.
This confused the group.
"Not from you?," Pan asked curious.
The others agreed with her sentiment.
If it wasn't from the Supreme Kai, then who was it from?
"Who was it from then?," Trunks asked.
"The request was from me, saiyans.," A familiar voice said.
The voice was revealed to be none other than the current God of Destruction, Lord Beerus. One thing about Lord Beerus was, you did not want to see him angry. Whis was seen beside him as per normal.
Still... this was odd. Beerus never specifically requested to see Saiyans. Something must have happened.
"L-Lord Beerus! W- We uh.. didn't expect to see you here., " Trunks said.
He looked to the other saiyans.
"Don't be rude, guys! That's Lord Beerus, he's a God of Destruction!," Trunks warned them.
The other saiyans seemed to understand this from the panic in Trunks' voice and respectfully bowed to him.
"If I may ask, Lord Beerus sir, what did you call us here for?," Bulla asked.
Beerus smirked at the girl.
"I'm glad you asked, Saiyan girl.," He replied.
Beerus then began to explain the purpose for him requesting them as something rather specific came to his attention.
To be continued...
Hey guys, hopefully you enjoyed this chapter! Sorry if the pacing is wonky, I'll see what I can do to fix that.
Throughout the story, Supergirl will be playfully teased by Powergirl about her "crush" on our main character Odyn so keep that in mind. Also, there are alot of characters being introduced into the plot and story, so cut me some slack if I don't always cover a specific character or characters. As it is, there are alot of characters in the story already.. so we'll see what we can do in terms of juggling perspectives.
KingGoruto I'll try and do my best with Gogeta and Bulchi as they are part of the plot, any suggestions on what I should do with them are welcomed. The saiyan characters will need time to come into the plot of this story, so they won't be in it right away. One thing I'm attempting to fix is giving characters time to travel to other destinations within the story.
And this may be abit of a twist, but in terms of two very specific DC characters who have already died, they'll be make an appearance too... just not as you might expect. That's it for now. Stay tuned for more, peace out until the next one!
