Chapter 70: Bye Felicia

After Rick leaves, my anger grabs hold of me and won’t let go. I scream out in frustration and throw a glass tumbler against the far wall of my bedroom. The sound of it shattering brings me a brief moment of satisfaction, but it’s not to last. I begin pacing the room when I hear a knock on the door.

“I’m fine, Carl,” I holler out.

“It’s me, dear, Evanora.”

I open the door and find her and Carl standing there with wary expressions. I gesture for her to come in and Carl gently closes the door to give us privacy.

“Sounds like you’re having a time of it,” she remarks.

“You could say that. I’m just so frustrated with all of this. I don’t know who to trust and I’m questioning decisions that I don’t even remember making!” I exclaim.

“I’m doing everything in my power to find a way to get your memory back. I’m so sorry, dear,” she replies forlornly.

“You have nothing to apologize for! Rick interrupted your spell,” I say angrily.
