Rias vs Riser part 2

Turning back the clock a few minutes. In the observer room, everyone was watching the fight occurring in the gym.

"Is Koneko using her senjutsu abilities?" asked a very surprised Sirzechs. He knew of her circumstances and to see her use the abilities that once traumatized her was extremely shocking.

"Yes, due to her strong desire to help Rias, she found the strength to overcome her fear of her powers and decided to finally use her powers for her king who saved her life. Tiamat helped develop her powers as much as she could. While it's not much, she is able to utilize her abilities at short range as you can see." Issei explained.

"I see." Said Sirzechs with a clear smile on his face. He was very pleased to see how much her peerage cared for his sister. In addition, if Koneko is able to use senjutsu than they have a great chance of inflicting damage against Riser since senjutsu disrupts the opponents ki and cause inner damage to it's owner's spirit, thus preventing the enemy from using their abilities. It was one of the best ways to deal with regenerative abilities such as the Phenex clan's.

They focused back to the match

[Dress Break]

When the three pawns clothes were shredded, silence permeated the room. You could pretty much hear crickets in the backgrounds. The silence was then broken by

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Issei was clutching his stomach as he was laughing his ass off so hard that he felt tears coming out of his eyes at what Matsuda just performed. It wouldn't be Matsuda if he didn't do something perverted.

The other males in the room had the decency to look away from the screen, trying to respect the girls modesty as well as the fact that Serafall and Grayfia were glaring at them. Sirzechs coughed into his hand and looked towards Issei.

"I-Is this what you were training him to do?" Even Sirzechs couldn't help but stutter when he asked the question. He recalls that his sister told him that the red dragon emperor is a bit of a pervert but he didn't think it would be to this degree

Issei wiped his tears away as he tried to answer cohesively.

"haha… I-I didn't teach him haha that" He took a deep breath and then continued "He must have learnt that during his spare time. Although, it seems he has been using Asia as target practice. I know she wouldn't mind to help Matsuda but maybe I should have a heart-to-heart chat with him about how to treat Asia-chan." He muttered the last part silently. They then witnessed Matsuda and Koneko begun to run away from their opponents despite the fact that they had the clear advantage which did confuse them a bit until they saw what happened next.

BOOOM

The entire gym was blown to smithereen by a giant lightning bolt, courtesy of Issei's girlfriend Akeno.

"Riser's Phenix three pawns and one rook retires!" Grayfia announced next to Issei. Amazing, they were able to eliminate 4 of Riser's members in one fell swoop. This is going great.

"I see. So, the fight in the gym was simply a diversion until their Queen gathered sufficient demonic energy to blow the entire gym away." Ajuka surmised. Although, based on how both of them were doing, they didn't need to go ahead with such measure. Still, it was a very bold choice to blow away the gym which was a crucial point for both teams. Rias probably prioritized defeating Riser's members as fast as possible rather than fight over a crucial point which makes sense considering their numerical disadvantage.

"It would seem so" stated Sirzechs. You could tell he was very proud of Rias from his tone of voice. "Oh and it seems Kiba is engaging his own opponents."

Looking at another screen, they could see that Sirzechs words were true as Kiba was currently facing 3 of Riser's pawns who tried to pass through the forest to sneak into the enemy's headquarters and gain the ability to promote to Queen. However, they had been slowed down due to the mist conjured by Akeno which gave Yuuto enough time to catch them before starting to engage them. Unfortunately for Riser's pawn, they could not keep up with Kiba's speed who darted left and right and gracefully dodged all of their attacks. It did not take long for Kiba to eliminate all of them. What surprised Sirzechs was the fact that Kiba actually ambushed one of them and attacked from behind, something that his pride as a knight wouldn't allow.

"I'm surprised Kiba-kun was able to attack someone from the back. He was always against such actions due to being a knight, something he most likely inherited from his former master." Sirzechs remarked. Kiba's sword master was his knight Souji Okita who was born during the late Shogunate period.

"Yeah, it was one of the first things Tiamat and I tried to work out with him. Luckily, Kiba understood that in order to help Rias, he would have to let go of his pride during the match."

Sirzechs nodded before they all returned to watch the game. However what Issei was watching concerned him. Matsuda seemed to be celebrating their recent success and is letting his guard down despite the fact that they haven't defeated Riser yet. This is not good.

'What are you doing you idiot? Have you already forgotten what I taught you during training. Never let your guard down for a moment until the enemy is defeated.' Issei yelled internally. He couldn't recall how many times he told Matsuda of the importance of never letting one's guard down during a fight. He understood that this was due to the fact that they managed to eliminate almost half of Riser's members thanks to Rias strategy but the main threats still haven't been dealt with yet.

Unfortunately, his worst fears have come to past.

["Look out"] he heard Koneko shout to Matsuda, shoving him out of the way. A moment later a huge explosion detonated and Issei could see that Koneko was hit severely.

'Noooooooooo' he shouted in his mind. He looked at the screen and saw that the perpetrator was Riser's queen who took advantage of the situation and immediately struck out to take them out. Koneko's instinct must have warned her at the last minute and she unconsciously saved Matsuda even though in this battle she should have known that she was one of the main factors to be able to take down Riser. His queen then taunted Matsuda before he saw Koneko's body being enveloped in light and then disappearing.

"What happened to Koneko?" he asked worriedly.

"When someone takes a certain amount of damage and get into a condition that they are no longer able to fight, they are transported out of the battlefield by force and sent to the medical bay. That light you saw is simply the teleportation activating. Her wounds will be treated and she should be good as new afterwards." Explained Sirzechs. This made Issei breath a small sigh of relief knowing Koneko was going to be okay but the situation was now looking very dire for Rias.

"This isn't looking good." Remarked Ajuka as Issei turned his attention towards him.

"Rias rook, who is able to use senjutsu was one of the only means her team had of actually being able to deal damage to Riser even through his Regeneration. The fact that she was the one who got eliminated is extremely unfavorable for them. Objectively speaking, she should have prioritized her own safety over saving her fellow pawn." reasoned Ajuka.

"She did it subconsciously. I cannot fault her for saving her friend." Issei responded.

"However, in this case it may just backfire."

It's not like Issei did not agree with what Ajuka stated. Ajuka was certainly correct that Koneko was more valuable than Matsuda in this match. Her senjutsu was one of the primary factors they counted on in order to be able to take down Riser more efficiently and now that she has been taken out of the game, their victory has become that much harder to accomplish.

Matsuda was currently fuming with anger as he looked up at Riser's queen.

"Come down here. I'll be your opponent." He tried to provoke her even though it wasn't the smartest idea. It was his fault that Koneko was taken out even though she was still able to fight. He should have been eliminated for letting his guard down despite all the warnings Issei gave to him. He may have cost them the game due to his actions.

"fufu, you certainly are a lively one. Do you want to explode like your little friend? I will be glad to grant you your wish." She points her hand towards him but before she could launch her attack, Akeno made her presence known.

"Ara ara. Your opponent is me Yubelluna-san or should I call you the bomb queen?" Akeno placed herself in between Matsuda and Riser's queen to protect him.

"I never liked that name, Priestess of Lightning. If you wish to take his place than I would be more than happy to fight you."

"Matsuda-kun, go ahead and meet up with Yuuto-kun. He should be waiting for you up ahead."

"But!" Matsuda wanted to stay and help her but Akeno looked at him.

"You have your own role, correct? Leave this place to me." She said in a serious tone. Matsuda clenches hist fist before nodding at Akeno who smiles at him.

"Don't worry, I promise I will avenge Koneko-chan. I will defeat her and come find you later." A golden aura surrounds Akeno as she prepares to face off against her opponent. Seeing her confidence, Matsuda nodded and prepared to leave

"I will leave this place in your care, Akeno-san. Please take her down." He said before sprinting away towards the enemies base.

Akeno then took a deep breath to calm herself. To say she wasn't nervous would be a huge lie. When she heard that Koneko was retired, she was scared for two reasons. The first one was that Koneko was their best chance at being able to damage Riser despite his regeneration. Their entire strategy revolved around trying to wear down Riser physically and mentally as much as possible in order to take him down. Koneko-s senjutsu was one of their means to effectively accomplish this but now with her being taken down, it makes their strategy a lot harder to pull off. Which brings us to the second reason which is the fact that she understands that it is now up to her to be able to take down Riser. She would have to use her fallen angel powers. The powers that she had once loathed with every fiber of her being. However, it needed to be done in order to help Rias. Koneko overcame her fears and hatred for her powers and she needed to do the same.

She looked at her hands as some unwanted memories resurfaced

'Fallen angels are evil.'

She quickly shook her head to get rid of those thoughts. Now is not the time for them. Besides, with Issei watching, she had confidence that all will be alright.

Soon after, violent roars of lightning and explosion could be seen and heard as the two queens started to battle it out.

As Matsuda was making his way to the sports court, he spots Kiba waving at him with a smile on his face.

"Matsuda-kun, over here!" Matsuda made his way towards Kiba who was busy observing the sports court from behind the storage room.

Matsuda took a few deep breaths before looking at Kiba with a sad expression.

"Sorry Kiba… because of me Koneko-chan was…"

"I already know since I heard the announcement. It doesn't bode well for us that she had to retire early. I'm sure she has a lot of regrets considering how much she trained for this match. However, there is nothing we can do except do our best and work twice as hard to make up for her share." Kiba said.

"Yeah… Let's make sure we win for Koneko-chan and Buchou's sake."

"Of course, Matsuda-kun."

They fist pumped.

"By the way, nice job defeating the three enemy pawns." Congratulated Matsuda.

"Yeah. I managed to lure them away from the sports court into the traps we set up earlier. I was trying to lure more of them however it would appear that the person in charge of this location was quite calm and didn't take my bait. She used her pawns to scout out my abilities or in this case as sacrificial pawns to see what I was up to."

"Yeah, Riser's queen did say that it was alright for them to sacrifice a few pieces in order to be able to take us down. Those assholes." Matsuda didn't like the fact that they were using their friends as sacrificial pieces.

"Anyways, the enemies in charge over here are one Bishop, one knight, one rook as well as the remaining 2 pawns." Kiba explained the situation.

"So, the rest of that bastard's peerage are all over here then. That's a lot of defence. Then again, If we can take them out and Akeno-san takes out the queen then all that is left will be Riser."

"Yeah, I'm assuming they put a lot of defence here after we blew up the gym. It just shows how much they are keeping their guard for this place against us." Kiba stated. It makes sense. There were basically two paths to their base. The gym and the sports court that is behind the school building. Rias chose to destroy one path which meant that it was natural that they would increase their strength here. Luckily, Akeno is dealing with their queen and Riser is still staying behind so this would be their best chance at eliminating the rest of his peerage.

Kiba saw that Matsuda seemed to be shaking a little bit.

"Are you nervous?" he asked his teammate.

"Of course I am. There is a lot riding on this fight and compared to you who has tons of battle experience, I may as well be a grunt." Stated Matsuda nervously. It's his first time fighting in a rating game and he is pretty much a brand new devil.

Kiba smiles at him.

"Look." Kiba shows him his hands and Matsuda noticed that they were shaking.

"As you can see, I am as nervous as you. While its true have may have more battle experience than you, this is my first time participating in a rating game where the stakes are incredibly high. I also want to protect Buchou as her knight. That is why despite the fact that we may be nervous and scared, we cannot show our opponents event the slightest opening in our guard." Stated Kiba. It's a bit ironic considering that the reason Koneko was eliminated was due to the fact that Matsuda let his guard down but whatever.

Matsuda nodded.

They then hear loud voice from a women.

"I know you're there. My name is Carlamaine and I have Riser's-sama knight. I'm bored of waiting it out so I challenge you to a duel knight of Gremory." Carlamaine shouted. She was cladded in armour and standing bravely at the center of the court. She was a bold one, not caring if she got shot on the back.

Kiba however laughs as he stands up from his hiding spot.

"Since she has introduced herself, it would be a shame to not face her both as a knight and as a swordsman" Kiba walks out straight to the baseball court.

Seeing that their opponents already knew their location, Matsuda also followed Kiba.

"I'm Rias Gremory Knight, Kiba Yuuto"

"And I'm her pawn Matsuda Suzuki."

They both introduced themselves to the female knight who smiles at them.

"I'm happy to see that there are warriors amongst your group who would valiantly storm the front lines. It's something only idiots would do but I love those idiots. Now let's fight." She draws out her sword and points it towards Kiba who conjures a sword using his sacred gear.

They both then sprinted towards each other and started slashing at each other. Sparks were flying as their swords hit each other. Matsuda could barely keep up as they vanished from sight due to their high speed.

"How about I keep you company!"

Matsuda turned around to see a woman wearing a mask that covers half her face. If he remembers correctly, she is Riser's other rook. Behind her was another beautiful girl who was wearing a dress. She had a drill shaped hairstyle on both of her sides and her demeanor screamed spoiled princess.

"In the end, it turned out to be a fight between 2 sword fanatics. I told her that we needed to fight them as a group to provide the greatest advantage and yet there she goes challenging the opposing knight. It's a real shame too considering he is a cute boy and yet he also happens to be a sword freak." The bishop complained. She then turned around to look at Matsuda.

"So this is Rias's pawn. Not much to look at. Does she have bad taste in finding gentleman" she rudely commented which ticked Matsuda off.

He then prepared himself to fight as he once again summoned his boosted gear.

["Boost"]

He began to power up. He would leave Kiba to deal with the knight while he would deal with his two opponents in front. He still had to keep an eye out for the other 2 remaining pawns who seem to be hidden. Most likely, to ambush one of them. He looked at Kiba and could tell that he was also keeping a watchful eye.

As he prepared to fight, the bishop simply sighed and waved him off, not bothering to deal with him.

"I'm not going to be your opponent. Isabella, please take care of him." The masked lady now known as Isabella nodded silently and moves in front of Matsuda who seemed a bit surprised.

"Wait a minute! Isn't she also going to fight?" he asked making Isabella shake her head.

"No, she is a special case. She will most likely only be observing our fights until the end."

"Wh-What the hell is that?" Matsuda let slip. He couldn't believe that she would just remain idle in an important match like this. Is that even allowed?

"This person is Ravel Phenix, Riser's-sama younger sister. She is participating in Riser's games in order to accumulate experience for the future when she either becomes a king or finds someone's peerage she want to join. In any case, here I come Rias Gremory's Pawn." She exclaimed before charging straight at Matsuda.

She launched a shift punch at his face which Matsuda managed to dodge but only barely, as it grazed his cheek. Seeing her primary attack failed, she followed with a series of punches ranging from hooks to body blows. It was here that Matsuda deduced that her fighting style was similar to boxing. She even started using flicker jabs which was very difficult to deal with since they came at unpredictable angles and places. All Matsuda could do was focus on dodging.

"hoho, you are able to handle yourself, not bad. You are indeed a worthy opponent but let's see how you handle this." Isabella once more launched herself towards Matsuda, ready to land a punch. This time Matsuda to dodge properly however he didn't expect her next move

KICK

"Gahh" he took the full blow of her kick in his stomach. With his balance destroyed, Isabella sent more and more punches his way

["Boost"]

Despite having boosted several times already, he was still unable to deal with her. Each of her strikes were incredibly heavy thanks to the power granted to her by the Rook piece.

"Amazing! To think you are still able to remain standing after my assault. It seems Rias Gremory has trained you very well, especially your stamina. In a serious fight, the most important aspect is the amount of stamina one possesses due to the fact that you consume tons of stamina during a battle including concentration." Isabella praised him.

"I guess so." He replied but inside his mind, he was greatly thanking Issei for the training. He had indeed gone through grueling training and it was thanks to him that he had a lot of stamina.

"My team and I went through torturous training in order to become strong enough to be able to defeat your king. I may be the weakest member and the least experienced in my team but I will defeat you and help give Buchou the victory and freedom she deserves." Matsuda declares which seemed to earn hima smirk from Isabella.

"Very well then let's continue."

However before they were about to face off again, they were interrupted by the sound of wind. They look to the side and notice the knights battle had moved towards them. Kiba had been using his holy eraser, a darkness blade that consumes light against his opponent but it seems to have been blown away by Carlamaine's flaming sword.

"Your sacred gear will not work on me, Knight of Gremory. My sword surpasses your ability." She started bosating. Kiba, however, did not seem bothered about it and simply smirk.

"Is that so? Then I should probably warn you that you haven't seen the full capabilities of my sacred gear."

"You should admit defeat when you can. It's unsightly for a swordsman to…"

"Freeze" Carlamaine was interrupted when Kiba activated his sacred gear once more. However, his sword became a blade of ice.

"In front of this sword, Flame delete, all types of fire will dissapear" Kiba stated. To prove his point he slammed his blade into her flaming sword and just as he stated, the flames from her sword immediately vanished upon contact. This sword was something he had come up with during training with some advice from Issei.

'Yo Kiba, based on what you told me your sacred gear is able to create any type of demonic sword. Is that correct?'

'Yes, Issei-kun'

'I see. In that case, do you think you can create a sword which can absorb or dissipate fire. With this blade, you would be able to support your team by managing Riser's flames. Even if you cannot damage him, you can severely restrict the damage he could inflict on the team. The main strategy involves all of you being able to attack him at once so being able to mitigate the amount of damage he can strike back with will severely help the team.'

Issei had gone on to explain the benefits of creating such a sword and Kiba immediately begun creating it. This was the fruits of his labor and it was great to see it pay off.

Carlamaine on the other hand was incredibly shocked at what just occurred.

"Im-Impossible, are you telling me you have two sacred gears?" she yelled as she conjured her flames around her sword once more and begun swinging wildly at Kiba. She was clearly beginning to get impatient as she started swingling wildly at Kiba, not being able to believe what just happened. That was a big mistake on her part. The instant her sword touched Kiba's, it began to freeze until

Break

It breaks and disappears. Carlamaine went wide eyed before she immediately discards her sword and pulls a new one.

"If you think this is all I can do then you are sadly mistaken. We are members of the household of phoenix that rule over fire and wind. Take this!" she shouts as she puts her sword up. A whirlwind of fire begun to gather around the baseball court with both of them standing in the center.

"That Carlamaine. Has she forgotten that her allies can get caught up in her attack?" Ravel complained as Isabella quickly got in front of her to protect her.

Kiba's sword started to melt from the extreme heat but he still didn't seem bothered by it.

"Replenish Calm" he stated with a calm voice.

Suddenly, the winds begun to be absorbed into Kiba's sword. In a few seconds, the whirlwind for fire was gone as though it never existed.

"Th-This is Impossible. Do you possess multiple sacred gears?" Carlamaine stated in shock. She couldn't believe what was happening in front of her eyes.

Kiba merely shakes his head at her question.

"I do not possess multiple sacred gears. Both swords were created by my sacred gear "Sword Birth". With it, I can create any type of demonic sword I wish. That is my sacred gear and it's true ability" Multiple sword suddenly appeared from the ground when he placed his hand downward. Multiple swords with different shapes and different types. All of them demonic blades. Kiba did it to demonstrate he wasn't lying.

"Your sacred gear is indeed troublesome so we should take you down as quickly as possible." Isabella tried to ambush him from his blind spot only to get intercepted by Matsuda who blocked her attack.

"Hey, you are dealing with me right now." He shouted.

"Very well! I'll finish you off first then."

"You wish. I've accumulated enough. Let's go Ddraig!"

["Boost"]

["Explosion"]

Power accumulated within Matsuda as he gathered all his energy into his hand. A glowing red sphere of energy appeared in his hand as he pointed it towards Isabella. He needed to get rid of her as quickly as possible, not only due to her strength but also because of the troublesome ability granted by her rook piece. That ability is known as "Castling". Just like in the game of chess, it grants the ability for the king to switch places with their rooks. It is indeed a very dangerous ability especially against their strategy so at the start of the match, Rias made it a priority to find and eliminate both the enemy's rooks as quickly as possible. If any of their rooks managed to reach their base, Riser could simply switch places with them and finish of Rias which was something that needed to be avoided. Despite how pompous and arrogant Riser was, they could not risk it all by betting that he would remain idle in his base so Matsuda needed to target Isabella first.

"Dragon Shot" He unleashed his fully powered ability. It was so strong that even he got pushed back from the recoil. Luckily he was able to properly aim at his target.

Isabella prepared to receive the incoming attack, confident in her enhanced defense provided by her rook piece. However…

"Dodge it Isabella" Carlamaine shouts to her teammate to dodge it. Isabella reacts instantly and dodges it. The attack passes her and lands on the tennis court.

BOOOM

The ground started rumbling as an explosion of wind and dust spread around. In an instant, Matsuda had completely obliterated the tennis court. Everyone looked really surprised at the amount of power released from him.

"It would seem I have severely underestimated you, Pawn of Gremory. Had I taken that hit then I would have surely retired from the game. There might be a chance I may have been killed." Isabella looked at Matsuda with a hint of fear in her voice.

"Isabella, you need to take that pawn down now. That sacred gear has the power to change the outcome of this battle." Carlamaine shouted.

"I agree. He would become a huge threat if he promoted to queen." Isabella agreed getting ready to fight Matsuda while Carlamaine was about to reengage with Kiba once more. But before that could happen.

"Alright, this charade has gone long enough." Ravel made her presence known befor snapping her fingers. At the signal, 4 new people came forth. It was the remaining 2 pawns, Bishop and Knight from Riser's team. They must have been lying in wait to either ambush them or move towards Rias base.

"I allowed both of you to fight to your hearts content but this fight has gone on for long enough. It's about time to end this. Riser Oni-sama believes it's about time for him to go ahead and challenge Rias. That's why we need to finish these two off and make our way towards him." Ravel calmly stated. Isabella simply nodded however Carlamaine seems to have taken a hot to her pride. She could not believe that she wasn't able to defeat her opponent by herself.

Having heard that Riser was about to challenge their king, Kiba and Matsuda prepared themselves to fight.

"If that fried chicken is going to fight Buchou, we need to win a soon as possible to join her. Let's do this Kiba" Matsuda shouted. Kiba nodded and prepared to fight.

Ravel, hearing his statement simply laughed.

"hohoho. You believe you stand a chance at winning against us. How comical. I'll give it to you that Rias-sama and all of you have been doing very well in this battle. The Crimson haired Princess, Priestess of Lightning, Sword Birth, Twilight Healing and even the Boosted Gear Longinus. Those are indeed fearsome opponents but your opponent is the immortal bird of the Phenex Household. No matter what power you hold, it is useless against us."

"Not even the immortal bird is invincible."

Ravel simply continues to laugh

"Oh, are you planning to beat my brother until he loses the will to fight or are you going to defeat him with a strike that rivals a God. I would venture to guess that it is the first option considering all of you aren't even close to God class. The Boosted Gear might be able to defeat God class beings but you clearly haven't reached even high class devil strength let alone God class. It makes feel some pity for the red dragon emperor to be stuck with a pathetic wielder like yourself" she insulted Matsuda which struck a nerve for both him and Ddraig. Like brother like sister as both insulted him in the same manner.

"Why don't you come down here and I'll show you my strength." Yelled Matsuda daring her to come down here.

"hohoho, you commoners sure know how to bark. You already know that I am also an immortal bird and while I may not be as powerful as my brother, I can easily recover from anything you throw at me. Even that little display of power you showed earlier would not have done much against me. That is why I'll let you play with them. Be grateful that I am giving you a chance to fight. Carlamaine, I've allowed you to fight one on one with Rias-sama knight but since you couldn't defeat him, you will take him down together with everyone else. I will not allow your pride to lower the name of the Phenex. Is that understood?"

Carlamaine agrees to Ravel's word although relunctantly.

"Siris, help her take down Gremory's knight. Mihai will support you should you need it. Meanwhile NI and Li will help Isabella defeat the enemy pawn. Make sure to take them down in the name of the phenex." Everyone nodded as they immediately initiated on their opponents.

"dammit." Shouted Matsuda as he was now assaulted by the twin beast girls. Despite being pawns, they had insane speed and their coordination was impeccable. As a result, Matsuda started taking multiple hits to his face, stomach and different parts of his body.

["Boost"]

He started gathering power as he tried desperately to dodge the incoming assault and he still needed to pay attention to Isabella who is no doubt itching to land the finishing blow on him.

"Ni! Li! Be wary of his boosted gear. It allows him to double in strength every 10 seconds. Based on his strength, you will not be able to defeat him after his third boost. Finish him immediately. He cannot fight while he is gathering power so strike him down as fast as possible. Also be wary, he seems to have a shameless ability to destroy your clothes upon touch." Ravel dishes out commands to the twins.

The twins, upon hearing that, looked at Matsuda in disgust.

"Beast" "disgusting"

"Shut up and how the hell did you know that when you weren't at the gym?" he shouted wondering how they knew.

Ravel tapped into her ears.

"Did you think your team was the only with means of communication. Before they retired, Eel and Nel whom you fought warned us of your disgusting ability."

Matsuda immediately dodged an incoming attack from Isabella. If he had taken that blow, it might have been game over. She really likes to blind side her opponents. The twins then darted towards him sending a barrage of hits that he narrowly evaded.

Matsuda was able to spot Kiba for a moment and noticed that he too wasn't doing so well. He had to face the onslaught of both the enemy knights. He already had several scratches across his body but luckily none too severe to restrict his movements. Both knights despite having different personalities worked very well together as they attacked him from both sides and whenever he was about to gain an advantage over one of them, the supporting bishop would immediately intervene to save her teammates.

"I'm impressed you are both able to handle yourselves against 3 opponents at once. You are indeed strong and given a few more years… no months of experience and training, you would have no doubt defeated us. However, you will be running up on fumes very soon and it will be our victory" Isabella stated as she praised the both of them. As if to back up her claim, the two of them started breathing pretty heavily exhausted from the earlier clashes.

'Are we going to lose?' Matsuda thought as he tried to reclaim his breath

'If we lose, Buchou will… with that bastard… No I refuse to lose. I will stand up even if my body is torn to shreds. I will protect Buchou.'

"I won't lose… I can't lose. There is too much at stake to even think about it. I will fight for her… That is why Ddraig give me the strength to protect her. Answer my feelings."

["Dragon Booster Second Liberation"] His gautlet suddenly made a sound he hadn't heard before as it started to change its shape and form.

"What the… it changed" Matsuda looked surprised at his newly formed gauntlet that now covered his entire arm. Information started flowing into his mind about the power boost he had claimed.

"Did his sacred gear change?" Isabella seemed very cautious as she examined the changes to his sacred gear. The twins were also very shocked.

"Be careful! The boosted gear is known to be able to evolve based on the users emotions. Take him down now" Ravel yelled from the back. But before, they could move, Matsuda sprinted towards Kiba. They immediately followed him.

"Kiba, release your sacred gear"

Kiba seemed confuse at his shout but he trusted in Matsuda so he immediately plunged his sword in the ground and shouted

"Sword Birth"

Multiple demonic swords appear from the ground as Matsuda smirks

"Alright and now take this" he thrust his fist into the ground and sent power to the ground targeting Kiba's ability to creating demonic sword.

"Transfer" he shouted. Immediately the sound of metal reverberated violently throughout the era as the entire sports court became a sea of swords, full of different shapes and sizes. Not only did Matsuda increase the power of Kiba's ability but also the range of it. As a result…

"Im-Impossible"

"Noooo"

"How can this be!"

All of Riser's servant, not including Ravel who was flying in the air, got skewered by several blades, unable to dodge the attack. The hits were clearly strong enough as theirs bodies begun to glow as they all disappeared from the field

["Riser's-sama Rook, two knights, one bishop and two pawns have retired"].

"Yeesss" Matsuda shouted in victory after hearing Grayfia's announcement.

"Th-That's amazing Matsuda-kun. I didn't know you could do that." He said as he looked around at the various demonic sword with an awestruck look.

"Yeah, I was able to use the boosted gear's new ability to…"

Before he could explain his ability, they heard another announcement

["Rias Gremory's Queen retires"]

Another cruel announcement as they stood in shock wondering what the hell happened.

A few minutes earlier

Both queens were unleashing spell after spell against each other. Yubellina, using her explosion to try and knock her out of the sky. Akeno, using her lightning and several other elements to deal a definite blow to her. While they had survived each others assault, the environment around them clearly didn't as you can see debris everywhere. Trees scorched to ashes. Rocks blown to smithereens. They had been fighting for quite a while and they seemed to be even in terms of power.

Eventually both attack simultaneously hit each other, with Yubellina being forced to land on the ground having taken quite a bit of damage. Of course, Akeno did not get away scot-free either. Their battle was slowly coming to a close and both knew that.

"I have to say I am quite impressed with power you hold Priestess of lightning. It was a good idea for me to face you. If I had let you pass then you would have probably been able to eliminate many of our members." Yubellina looked up at Akeno.

"Why thank you. The same can be said about your power Bomb Queen. However, it is about time we finish this battle so that I can go help Rias and the others fight Riser."

"Oh my, so confident in your abilities. However, the outcome has already been decided the moment you accepted this match. No one can match the power of the immortal phoenix. Even if you manage to take me down, all of your strength combined would not be anough to overcome the hurdle that is my king. That being said, the one that will come out of this fight victorious will be me. You seem to be running very low on demonic power" Yubellina stated

"Maybe so but my power will easily recover in a few moments." Akeno responded.

"In that case, I will take you down right now" Yubellina put her hand in her pocket to take out a certain item.

"You took the words right out of my mouth. It's time I finish this." Akeno stated as she aimed her hand at Yubellina preparing to finally activate her latent fallen angel power.

She took aim and fired

Or at least that was what was supposed to happen but instead, nothing came out.

Her power did not activate. Akeno was incredibly shocked as she stared at her hands wondering what is happening. Why wasn't her power activating.

Unfortunately, that loss of concentration would prove to be her downfall. Yubellina had used the phoenix tear she had on herself to fully heal herself. She looked up to see that Akeno was distracted for some unknown reason and took full advantage of the situation. She immediately bombarded Akeno with multiple spell that unfortunately, Akeno had taken head on.

"Ahhhhhhh" she screamed in pain as her body began falling out of the sky.

"I don't know why you lost focus but it was your mistake. Just like I told you before, our victory is all but assured." Yubellina mocked Akeno as her body begun to glow with the light of retirement.

'damnit… I'm sorry Buchou… I'm sorry everyone… I'm sorry Issei' was her final thought before she was retired from the game… and with it any chance of victory
