Chapter 3 The demons

The demons. A race built for destruction. A human baby will be born innocent and pure, A demon baby however, will born with an instinct to kill and destroy. That's the difference between the two. That is why demons are the worst enemy of all races.

There are different types of demons. The most common ones are the human demon, or the common demon. These demons' features are like a human with different skin colors like red, blue and even human like skin color. They almost look like a human but what differentiate them is that they have horns. Horns for demons, are a symbol of their pride and power. This common demon is the one that Arthur and his knights encountered when they were trying to get into the city.

The next ones are the Barbarian demons. They guys are huge with an average height of 3 meters and skin color of red. They have great strength and body. Though unlike the common demon the intelligence of a barbarian demon is low. I guess you could say their all muscle-heads.

They are also the vampire demons. Though in demon society, vampire demons are scorned because they don't have horns and look exactly like a human except their pale skin and red eyes. Still, they are an insane bunch and will kidnap humans to become their living blood bank.

They are other types as well like the succubus demon, the sea demons and the mighty dragon demons. What they have all in common is the horns and their desire for devastation.

Why am I thinking of this stuff you ask? Well, it's simple, to lessen the guilt of what I'm about to do to them. Though the system isn't the type or at least not yet to give missions and if a person doesn't finish it, they die type of system, still it will be a waste not to make use of it.

"Captain, everything's prepared"

A voice suddenly woke Arthur from his thoughts. He answered..

"Good, ready my horse and let's depart"

"Yes captain"

Answered the knight going back to prepare the captain's ride. Arthur alone again thought about what to do and opened the system.

"Hmmn I have to get drugs to the city or more precisely to the demons" mumbled Arthur. The only problem is that he doesn't even know if heroin works on the demons but as they say you won't know until you try.

Having an idea about what to do now. Arthur bought 5 heroin using 5 tokens, hesitated a little and bought 5 more. Seeing heroin in his hands again, Arthur felt complicated emotions. He died because of this and now at the start in his new life he's holding it again. Keeping his emotions together, Arthur sees that the heroin is in small packets just like in his past life. Shaking his head, he procced to follow his plan which was pretty simple. The plan is simple he's just going to leave the 10 heroin here, as well as a note on how to take it and hope the demons get it.

It might be a simple plan but Arthur couldn't care less if it works, he literally just got here for 30 minutes and he doesn't expect to do something shocking already. Its important to take it slow.

Going out the tent Arthur took one last look at his tent where he put the drugs and set off.

About an hour later when Arthur and his company left about 20 common demons showed up on their now deserted camp. Including the one who fought Arthur and has the strength a level 4 knight.

A demon snickered "They left I was hoping to chop their heads off and put it on my collection"

"That's part of the plan. Our objectives is just to direct some of their forces here temporary." The demon who fought Arthur spoke.

"Why couldn't we just kill most of them and leave one to spread the message? You've gotten soft Bala you couldn't even defeat that captain when we were at advantage" Said an intimidating demon who presumably has similar strength as Bala. Some of the demons apparently agree with him as well.

Bala hearing that chooses to ignore the demon and said

"It is also important to make them think that we are weak to hide our true strength. The main objective for this mission is buy time nothing else matters"

A pretty smart for a demon Bala is. Its probably why he was chosen to lead a team. One of the demons were making a mess in the place where the previous captain stayed. Apparently, he was the one who was easily defeated and ignored by Arthur who afterwards fought Bala so he was pretty pissed at him.

"That's enough. Were leaving now." Siad Bala

"What if I don't want to?!"

The mad demons said as if losing his mind. In the first place it's in their nature to make a mess and take revenge so asking him to stop is going against his very being.

Bala who seemed pretty used to this said..

"If anything goes wrong, Lady Kali won't like it."

Like a switch the intimidating atmosphere and the anger of the demon who was making a ruckus instantly subsided.

One of the most common wonders for the other races in the beginning about demons is how can they become a country even with full of lawless people whose very beings' purpose is to destroy? How can they suppress their innate desire and work for one common goal? The answer is simple. How a demon gets stronger is different from the others races like the humans. They get stronger by purifying their bloodline. The purer the bloodline, the larger the horn and the stronger a demon is. Once a demons bloodline becomes purer, they emit a type of aura that only demons can feel and directly suppress those whose bloodlines is less pure.

No matter how lawless a demon is, that demon will obey who has purer bloodline than them. It is in their very existence to fear, worship and obey those whose bloodline is purer. Only the one who has the purest of bloodline, the strongest, can stand at the top, becoming the demon king. The hierarchy in the demons is pretty clear and that is why they are a very formidable race. Of course, they are always some overly stubborn demons who refuses to bow down to anyone but those cases are rare.

"Let's go and proceed with the plan" Bala said as he turns around to go back to the city.

Hearing this the demons obeyed and just as the demon who was making a ruckus follow Bala he notices something in the ground. It was a little salt like substance in small packets spread around the ground. Seeing this the demon bents down to pick one up. He thought it was salt but the smell was a bit different. It was covered buy this strange clothing or more precisely plastic but the demon doesn't know that.

The demon got curious and proceeded to tore it open in his hands. Feeling it in his hands he realized it was more refined than salt. The demon got more curios and proceeded to take a pinch of it to taste it. Just as he was about to do it, he notices a small note on the ground where he picked up the heroin. He bent down to see what it was written and in the note all it says is..

"Sniff it through your nose"

Reading this the demon got even more confused by this strange note just as he was about eat the heroin. A voice stopped him.

"The hell are you doing Raker? What are you standing there for lets go" One of the demon said as he spotted Raker not moving.

Hearing this Raker shook his head, thrown the heroin from his hands and just took another one packet of heroin, he then put it in his pocket to satisfy curiosity, he's going to try it later and proceeded to leave. The other 8 packets were left behind on the ground.
