Chapter 117: Dragons and Demons

As Erza quickly approached the area where she thought that Natsu and Gray were fighting against Racer, she heard a voice in her head.

'Titania, can you hear me, this is Hibiki from Blue Pegasus, please respond.'

Erza remembered what Hibiki had said about his magic and quickly responded.

"I can hear you; we were ambushed by Erigor from Eisenwald and Racer. Racer threw Lucy into the river and brought me away from the others. I am currently heading toward the area where I believe that both Gray and Natsu are fighting against him. While the two distract Racer I am going to save Lucy." Erza said.

'Give me a second, then I can locate her and help you find her' Hibiki said.

Erza waited as she continued to get closer to the area.

'Found her. Let´s see… Erza, at the rate that the current is transporting Lucy it will be faster if our group go save Lucy, she is heading straight into our direction.' Hibiki said.

Erza closed her eyes and thought for a moment.

The groups weren´t too far away from each other, so Anna and the groups from Blue Pegasus could reach Lucy relatively quickly.

There was also the fact that Racer wouldn´t let her pass him so easily, his speed was simply too high.

"Good, I will leave it to you. But be careful something tells me that the reason that Racer threw Lucy into the river isn´t as simple as just separating her from us." Erza said and summoned one of the swords that belonged to the armor.

Shortly after, Erza arrived above the area and Erza could indeed see how Natsu and Gray were fighting against Racer, but that wasn´t all.

Wendy was trying to move past Racer, so that she, Carla, and Happy could go and save Lucy, but Racer blocked them as well.

However, the weirdest thing was that all of them, except for Racer, was moving much slower than before, while Racer was moving normally.

"So that´s how he does it," Erza said as she realized how Racer's magic worked, instead of making him faster, it made everything around him slower.

Now that she knew how Racer's magic worked, she could use it against him and already knew how.

Erza landed on a large branch and jumped right back into the air.

She then changed into her Lightning Empress Armor and pointed her spear at Racer.

The tip of the spear split in the middle, lightning bolts moving between the two parts.

Erza poured her magic power into the weapon and filled it to the brink.

"Let´s see how fast you are," Erza said and fired a giant lightning bolt from her spear.

Racer was laughing loudly as both Natsu and Gray were kneeling on the ground, breathing heavily.

"At this rate, you won´t be able to do anything."

Natsu punched the ground with a flaming fist, signaling that he hadn´t given up and was still ready to go.

Gray was also far from finished, Racer was incredibly fast, but his attacks were weak, and compared to the things that they had gone through, especially the beating that Natsu had received from Zeldaris, it would take much more for them to stay down.

"I wish I could play with you guys longer, but I need to end this… Huh?" Racer said before he finally noticed a large amount of magic power that was gathering in the sky.

Using the moment where Racer was distracted, Gray used his magic to freeze the ground and Racer's feet as well.

Before Racer could even react to that, the giant lightning bolt had been launched and reached Racer in a fraction of a second.

"AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Racer yelled as he was being electrocuted alive.

After the lightning had disappeared, Racer was just barely staying conscious, his whole body was burned black, and his muscles were twitching uncontrollably.

Sadly, Erza´s onslaught wasn´t over because she was currently falling from the sky while wielding a hammer that was bigger than her own body, ready to smash Racer to bits.

Gray and Natsu ran away as quickly as possible and searched for cover, Natsu grabbed Wendy on the way.

Erza swung the hammer with all her strength onto the paralyzed Racer, breaking almost every bone in his body and sending him flying.

As for Erza, she didn´t take any damage from the fall and looked at Natsu, Wendy, and Gray.

"Hibiki had contacted me just now, they will be going to save Lucy." Erza explained.

"Are you sure that we can leave it to them?" Natsu asked, worriedly.

"We have no other choice, otherwise I would have preferred that we search for her to and make sure that she is fine. I also believe that Racer had another reason to throw her into the river." Erza explained.

Erza seemed confident but both Natsu and Gray knew that Erza was worried about Lucy.

Meanwhile, at the center of the forest, Brain, and Cobra were walking through the forest, they had found the location of the seal that bound Nirvana.

It wouldn´t take much longer and Nirvana was theirs.

However, Brain noticed that some of the lines on his body were disappearing.

"Racer had been defeated." Brain exclaimed with a shocked expression.

Cobra was shocked too after hearing that his comrade had been defeated.

"Shit, how did they manage that?" Cobra wondered.

"Cobra, after we arrived at the seal, you and Midnight are going to hunt those pests down." Brain ordered furiously.

"As you wish." Cobra said with a diabolic smile.

High above the clouds, two figures moved with high speed through the sky, their leathery wings beating every few moments.

Zeldaris and Aversia had finished their investigation of the members of Oración Seis but have also investigated the history of the forest and the surrounding area.

The area was familiar to them, their mothers had mentioned it before as they had ranted about an idiotic tribe that lived in the area.

The two could remember barely anything about what either Challot or Emrissen had told them, only the name of the tribe, Nirvit.

Zeldaris had a feeling that the Nirvit tribe was somehow connected with Nirvana, but none of the records of the council mentioned Nirvana at all.

Fortunately, Aversia found a record of the Nirvit tribe, and it turned out that the members of the Cait Shelter guild were the descendants of that tribe.

After that, they departed as quickly as possible and were now heading toward the others.

Zeldaris and Aversia did not doubt that Natsu and the others were already engaging Oración Seis and the dark guilds under them, it also wasn´t hard to guess that Natsu rushed things, as usual.

But only time would tell, and now they had to hurry and help the others.

It wouldn´t take much longer for them to arrive, they had already passed the capital and the mountain range should come into view soon as well.

And they did, not even ten minutes later, the great mountain range that reached into the middle of the country, could be seen, as well as the explosions of the raging battle.

"Should we help them?" Aversia asked, although she was burning for a fight, she knew that they needed to hurry and stop Oración Seis.

"No, we cannot stop here. I have a bad feeling about the situation with Oración Seis, about that weapon Nirvana." Zeldaris answered, his instincts were telling him that they needed to stop Oración Seis as quickly as possible.

'Was it a mistake to go to the council and research the members of Oración Seis? Should we have stayed with Natsu and the others?' Zeldaris pondered in his mind.

However, there was no time to ponder about the past…

Multiple fireballs broke through the clouds and headed toward the two half-dragons.

At first, the two thought that they could simply absorb them, but they could feel that these fireballs were different from normal ones and quickly evaded them.

Zeldaris and Aversia halted for a moment before flying below the clouds, there they saw a group of twenty men waiting for them.

All of them were wearing ancient armor, the armor of a country that had ceased to exist long ago.

"Dragnof…" Aversia said in shock.

The armors were those of the former kingdom of Dragnof, which had ceased to exist more than three hundred years ago.

"So, you two remember the glorious armor of Dragnof? And here I thought that some traitors like you would have forgotten about it." said the soldier in the front.

"We haven´t betrayed Dragnof, never have and never will." Zeldaris yelled.

The soldiers laughed at those words.

"No matter what you say, you two have betrayed the king of Dragnof and so the kingdom itself."

"Rung…" Zeldaris muttered, the name of the king that had become insane and had tried to overthrow his wife, Irene, and tried to capture both him and Aversia.

As they remembered that day, they were unable to hold back their rage and fully unleashed their blood lust.

For the soldiers, the followers of Rung, this amount of bloodlust was a big shock to them and many of them stepped back.

"WHERE IS HE?! WHERE IS THAT BASTARD?!" Aversia yelled, and the flames of chaos erupted from her body, covering it entirely.

"As if we would tell you that. You won´t even need to know it, because we will finish you here and now." said the captain and jumped toward the two while drawing his sword.

Before he could even draw his sword, Aversia had arrived beside him, grabbed him by the helmet, and smashed his headfirst into the ground.

As the captain crashed into the ground, the other soldiers tried to rush toward Aversia, but Zeldaris wouldn´t let them.

"[Territory: Chains]"

Grey flames erupted around the soldiers, covering the whole area before they transformed into chains and wrapped themselves around the soldiers.

They tried desperately to free themselves from the chains, some managed to draw their swords and tried to cut them, but their weapons were unable to cut through the flames.

A few seconds later and all of the soldiers were lying on the ground, some still tried to free themselves, but the chains got tighter around them or pull on their limbs.

Aversia lifted the captain and put more strength into her grip, the sound of aching bones could be heard.

"You will tell us where that monster is!" Aversia said furiously.

Sadly, the captain was too much in pain to even say a word and Aversia was about to weaken her grip a bit as his body seemingly combusted.

The same happened to the other soldiers.

"What the?" Aversia said as she let go of the soldier, these flames were not made of magic power but something much more sinister.

"Do you wonder how we are still alive? It is simple really, we did the same as you, sacrificed our humanity, and became something else. All so that we could have our revenge!"

The strange flames fought against the flames of chaos and allowed the trapped soldiers to stand up and escape the chains.

"We have become demons so that we can kill you! YOU DEMONS!!!" the captain yelled.

"Demons you say?" Zeldaris said in anger.

"Even after four hundred years you still are as dumb as before. This time, there will be no coming back." Aversia said as multiple small flames appeared in the air around her.

"There is a little saying that has spread over the years. A demon for a demon, a god for a god… AND A DRAGON FOR A DRAGON!!!" Zeldaris yelled, flames erupting from the ground and high into the sky.

But that was not the end, the flames began to move and slowly changed into something else.

A serpentine body with a draconic head and two large front arms.

Under the shocked gazes of the demonic soldiers, the flaming dragon looked down upon them and roared.

Zeldaris and Aversia roared as well, and the earth trembled under the roar of the three.

The flames around Zeldaris changed as well, forming a plate armor that covered most of his body.

"[Flame Mail: Dragon Knight]"

"Let us show you the difference between dragons and demons." Aversia said, the lights around her formed into swords and she had summoned her sword as well.
