Survivors 2

"Are you OK?

That question, asked in a powerful and beautiful voice at the same time, woke up the dumbfounded survivors, who had their minds literally blank from the incredible massacre they had just witnessed.

The one who answered this question was Richard, who was considered the leader among the survivors.

"We're fine thanks to you sir, may I ask what brings you here?"

He managed to ask despite the evident tremor in his voice, it was obvious that he was scared of the man in front of him.

After all, even though he just saved them, he could be planning to kill them and take the food, or rape the women of the group, or simply enslave them, in this lawless apocalypse, there really is nothing that can stop him from doing whatever he wants.

Adriel was not aware of the thoughts of Richard's thoughts, he was looking with interest at the huge black man who responded to him, by the firmness in which he moved and his body that was trained to the limit, it was obvious that he had training, it was not a simple civilian like the others.

"Are you in the military?" Adriel asked.

"Former military man, I retired 6 months ago" Richard replied, this time calmer, the experience of him exercising was coming into play at this moment, making him calm down at an amazing speed.

Adriel nodded, looked at the other survivors and saw the sacred expressions on their faces, it was obvious that they were afraid of him, although it was understandable, if someone capable of taking your life in an instant would stand in front of you, and you had nothing to do with it, than to protect yourself, surely you would shit with fear.

"Why don't we go inside?" Adriel suggested, he wanted to have a chat with these people, so he would be more comfortable if they did it inside.

"... Yes," Richard replied after a long silence, he really didn't dare to reject, he feared what this man would do if he rejected him.

They entered the building, Adriel found a sofa in the lobby and sat down comfortably, the sofa was quite soft, and he had not rested for a long time, so he took the opportunity to relax while he was here.

Unlike him, the survivors did not sit down, instead they stared at the man who was relaxed in the chair nervously, even Richard did not dare to sit down.

"What's wrong, why don't you sit down?" Adriel asked when he saw everyone standing up.

They looked at each other, then they looked towards Richard, seeing that the latter nodded, they sat down quickly, everyone was exhausted after having resisted the siege for hours, honestly, if it weren't for Adriel here, most of them would collapse directly on the ground, and they would fall asleep instantly.

Richard sat in a chair in front of Adriel, he had mentally prepared himself to have a conversation with this being many times stronger than him, with this being that he could kill them all if he wanted.

"Calm down, I'm not going to eat you" Adriel joked, it was quite ironic to see this giant man being so tense while talking to him.

Maybe he really relaxed at his joke, or maybe he just mentally prepared himself enough, Richard finally asked.

"What are your intentions with us, sir?"

By now, he had already deduced that this man wanted something from them, although he did not know what he was.

Actually, he was pretty obvious, after all, no one would save a group from a zombie horde if he didn't have something he wanted from them, or at least, if he had no intention towards them.

"You can call me Adriel"

"What are your intentions with us, Adriel?"

Adriel let out an ironic laugh at the man's dry response, it seemed that he had suddenly become emboldened, since he did not speak like that before.

Actually, even Richard didn't know why it was like that, every time he heard Adriel's voice, his mind cooled and became clearer, at the same time, he felt less intimidated by the figure in front of him.

Although neither of them knew it, this was the effect of Adriel's [Universal Control] ability, the longer she talked to him, the closer she would feel and even end up becoming loyal to Adriel, that's how terrifying this ability was.

"Well where do I start?"

Adriel began to tell Richard on the large-scale test ground, how he was recognized as the leader of a village, not just any village, a rewarded by the system that could be upgraded if the requirements were met, of the essence, and, finally, I tell him about the talent room and the classroom, of course, he did not tell him about the key things, such as destiny points or the management program, he was not that stupid, what he told him are things that I will know

"So, do you want us to join your village?" Richard asked, it would be a lie to say that he was not tempted, even leaving aside the miraculous village, having Adriel close would guarantee his safety, but it does not depend only on him, even though he was the leader, he couldn't tell the others to follow Adriel just because it seemed like a good idea.

"I know it is a difficult decision and that it does not depend only on you, what do you think if I explain it to the others?" Adriel suggested when seeing Richard's discomfort.

"It's fine" Richard replied, it was better if Adriel was the one to explain it to the group, this way, they wouldn't be influenced by what he himself thought.

Adriel nodded with a smile, got up, and addressed the group of survivors.
