Chapter 5

Your pov.

Few weeks passed and I've been noticing some weird things when I'm around Jake. He acts so flirty and nice to me... too nice to be exact. Edward seems like he hates Jake but I don't want to bring up this topic to him because I know he will be asking too many questions and hates Jake even more.

"WATCH OUT!"

I snapped back to reality and when I did, a basketball hits my head.

Ouch.

"I told you to watch out" Blake comes to me while picking up his basketball.

I keep rubbing the side of my head because it seriously hurts. He threw it too hard to my direction.

"Be careful. Watch where you threw your ball at. Don't play basketball if you don't know how to" I said to Blake. I'm used to being like this to Blake and don't get me wrong, I treat him like my own brother too since he is the closest to my brother.

Then a guy hurriedly runs to Blake’s side. He is tall and handsome. No other than my own crush. Lucas Ferguson.

"I'm sorry Luna. I threw that ball" Lucas said with a sorry look.

"She said don't play if you don't know how to pl——-"

Before Blake could finish his words, I quickly cover his mouth with both of my hands.

"I said don't play too much at this time since it's afternoon.. it's too hot" I said with my bright smile and let go of Blake.

"What.." Blake gives me that disgust look and I shot him a glare.

"It must be hurt right?" Lucas gently touch my head and strokes it.

I feel like I'm in heaven now.

Wait. I look like I enjoyed it too much.

"I-It's okay Lucas. I'm okay" I smile at him and he smiles shyly as he takes off his hand from my head.

"What's up?" Michael comes toward us and looks like he is skipping class.

"Don't you have anything better to do?" Blake said to Michael and he just shrugs his shoulder. "I hate math"

"Actually my parents aren't home tomorrow night and since it's weekend.. I'm going to have a house party. You guys better come" Michael said with a grin.

"Of course we will come. Who else will be there?" Lucas asked him.

"You guys and the others. Oh and I invited that new student, Jake too. He is cool and handsome and.... some hot girls" Michael gives a sly smirk to us.

I rolled my eyes at him. Michael is a rich brat and he has this huge house and it is perfect to have a house party. It must be fun. But I don't really like to go to parties. I can't really seem to have fun in the crowds.

"You're going too right, Luna?" Lucas asked me while staring into my eyes.

What am I suppose to do? Say no?

"Of course I'll be there" I said with a huge smile on my face. Anything for you my king.

"Great! Bring some drinks! Let's get it!" Michael dances away and disappear from our sight.

"He can't drink yet.." Blake mumbled.

"Well then.. see you there" Lucas shyly smiles and walks away with the basketball, leaving me with Blake.

"You can stop staring now" Blake said and I snapped back to reality from staring Lucas’ back.

"Geez... Does Leo know about this?" He asked me and I slowly shake my head.

"Ah Blake.. I think Leo wouldn't let me be in love with his friend" I pouted and again Blake gives me that disgust face.

Only Blake and Edward know that I like Lucas. I can't really tell the others.

"It's the matter of feelings. He can't forbid you like that because it's just love. You can't really block away those feelings easily" Blake stated. He gives me a lot of useful advice and I respect him for that.

"I know.. Maybe I'll tell him later.."

Blake chuckled and ruffles my hair. "Be glad I am like your brother too. Don't worry too much"

"But Blake.. Do you think Lucas.... likes me?" I asked him and my face started to heat up from asking that question.

"Hmm... I can't really tell but I could see he seems nervous around you. You know I can't ask him about you. It'll be weird" Blake said and I just nodded my head.

After a short conversation with Blake, both of us go back to what we're doing and I rush to the school building because I'm late to my class.

As I'm running, I stopped when I see the disciplined teacher are scolding Edward and Jake.

Wait.

Why is Jake bleeding?

But I have to get to my class now. Damn it! I continue running and when I get into my class, I'm glad the teacher isn't here yet.

I take a seat at my desk and my classmate suddenly comes to me.

"Hey Luna do you know what happened to Edward and Jake?" She asked with widen eyes.

"No.. W-what's wrong?"

"They got into a fight" My other classmate said.

"WHAT?" I shouted in shocked.

"Yeah. It happened on the school's corridor. Let me show you" She takes out her phone and plays the video that she recorded when they were fighting.

They keep punching each other and I quickly look away. Edward never been like this. What's gotten into him?

"Why did they fight?" I asked them.

"We don't know.. Some said they saw them were just talking and suddenly they begin to punch each other's throat" She shakes her head.

What the hell is happening between them?

Edward's pov.

I walk down the corridor and spot Jake is flirting with other girls. Does he really think he could play Luna like that?

I stand infront of him and few girls around him.

"I want to talk to this guy. The others can go away" I said coldly and the other girls walk away from us.

Jimin sighed and again gives me that stupid grin of him. "What do you want now?"

"Wow look at you... Luna told me the other day that you kissed her cheek out of nowhere but now, you flirt with other girls?" I asked him and he takes a step closer to me but it didn't make me flinch away.

"I flirt just for fun. To be honest, I only like Luna. Just her. Are you satisfied now?" Jake raised his eyebrow.

I chuckled in disbelief. "You're really such a trash.. Pretended that you got hurt by the way I threw ball at you and took advantage of Luna. You're so low"

"And why are you so bitter about it? Hm? Why? Are you that jealous? Or ......" He taps his finger on his chin, "You got friendzoned by her? I mean she's really pretty. I can't believe if you and her are just friends without any feelings getting in the way." Jake puts his hand into his pocket while staring at me amusingly.

It makes me mad. He pressed my button this time.

"You don't know anything so shut the fuck up"

With that, he laughs at me.

"Look at this little kid.. Trying to mess with me. Go back and play with your video games" Jake wants to walk away but I grab his shoulder and slam him to the wall.

"Stay the fuck away from her you bastard" I growled under my breath. My eyes are piercing into his eyes. Jake suddenly takes my hand off and pushes me. My back hits the cold hard wall and he started to punch me.

"I've had enough of you. You really test my patience don't you know that?" Jake throws another punch at me but I move my head to the side and his fist comes in contact to the wall.

I take that chance to kick him on the stomach and punch his face. The other students started to gather around us and I don't really care about them. I just want to teach this bastard a lesson.

"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" The students started to chant. Some of them cheer for Jake and some of them cheer for me.

When I want to punch him again, he grabs my collar and throws me to the floor. Before I could get up, he hovers on top of me.

"It's better if you just die. Do you like that idea?" Jake said and throws another punch to me.

I growled in anger and kick his balls. He groaned in pain and I take that chance to throw him off from me and goes on top on him. I started to throw punches to him again and again. I'm out of control.

I could see blood started to come out from his mouth but then he knocks my head with his head. I fall backward but my knee is supporting my body and my head started to feel dizzy.

"You bastard!" Jake shouted in anger as he kicks my face with his knee. With that, I fall flat onto the floor.

I see Jake is going to throw another punch at me but before he could do that, I could see the discipline teacher pulls him away from me and another teacher helps me to get up.
