Chapter 8

Luna’s pov.

Lucas dropped me home and I keep grinning like a total idiot. I keep humming my favorite song as I walk into my room.

"AHHH!" I let out a high pitch scream.

"AHHHH!!" Edward let out his monster scream.

"ED! What are you doing here?" I sighed in relief but still holding my beating heart that almost fall out of my chest.

"I'm bored staying at home alone! I don't know what to do and you went out so... here I am trying to make some origami but I failed" He pouted and curls himself into a ball on my floor with some crumbled papers around him.

"You know how many girls are willingly to go out with you right?"

"But I just want you" He gives me that cute innocent smile of his.

I shake my head and place the books that Lucas bought for me into my bookshelves. But then my eyes caught a black bag beside of my desk. It is Edward’s. Why did he bring his bag here?

"Why is your bag here?"

Edward sits up straight and looks at me innocently. "Leo will stayover at Daniel’s place so I can stayover here with you.. he said"

I nodded my head. It's not like this is his first time staying over at my place anyways. I feel safe around him.

I excused myself as I get up to take a shower. It's already evening and I asked Edward to order some foods for us.

After I'm done showering, I get out of the bathroom with the towel wrapped around my hair. I walk to the living room and see Edward is watching anime while eating some chips.

"I want some!" I jumped onto the couch beside him and grab his chips.

"You should get it yourself!" Edward sighed then he looked at me in shock.

He keeps staring at me weirdly. I followed where his eyes landed at and I just realized he's been staring on my neck.

"What are you staring at?"

Edward leans closer and closer to me. So close until I could feel his breath on my face. But then his warm hand touches my bare neck.

He looks at me in the eyes. Somehow the feeling is different. Something in his eyes are telling me that he is angry.

"Who did this to you?" Edward's voice changed. He always used his lighter tone to me but now, his voice becomes deeper and husky.

"W-what?" I stuttered a bit.

"These hickies.. Who did this to you? Was it Lucas?" His eyes are still piercing into mine.

"It wasn't him.." I softly answered and pushed him away from me.

"Then who did this?" He yanked me back to the couch.

"E-Edward.. Stop it! You're scaring me! I-I don't even know.. It happened after Michael's party" I answered him and he finally lets go of my hand.

"That night? What kind of a cheap bastard who would do this to you without your consent?" Edward sounds so pissed than ever then he looks away from me.

"A-are you okay Eddie?" I asked him and he sighed heavily.

Edward looks back at me and gives me his smile that I always loved.

"I'm okay.. It's just I don't want anyone to hurt you. Does Leo know about this?"

I shake my head slowly. "He'll snap.. I don't want this thing to get even bigger"

I'm glad Edward understands my situation. He asked me to be careful the next time I'm alone and he keeps saying sorry that he got drunk that night and that he didn't protect me from those things to happen.

After an half an hour, the food arrives and we begin to eat our dinner together.

Edward decided to keep playing video games so I head to bed first. He is still in the living room and he said he will sleep in the guest room as always.

I jump onto my bed and grab the blanket to cover myself. But then my phone buzzed. I check my phone and someone just messaged me. I read the message with my widest smile ever. It is Lucas.

" Thank you for today. I hope you like the books and I hope we can go out together again :D

- Lucas "

I reply his text message as soon as possible and I wait for his reply with a huge grin plastered on my face. My phone buzz again and I quickly click on his text message.

" I'm glad you enjoyed the day with me Luna. It's getting late now isn't it? I hope you have a good night sleep and see ya at school! Don't forget about your homeworks too.

- Lucas "

I grin even wider and I reply him back. Why is he such a sweet guy? Reminding me about homework and asked me to sleep rather than letting me stay awake to talk to him.. But I would love to stay up for him. Ah.. he is so cute!

After awhile, my phone buzz again. Lucas have already replied? I excitedly check my phone but only to read the text in horror.

" I saw you with that guy today. I don't like it kitten.. Don't make me jealous. Ever. Again.

- Unknown "

Maybe it's a wrong number. Yes. Wrong number. I shrug it off and put my phone on the lamp table beside of my bed and close my eyes to sleep. But when I was about to sleep, I heard my phone buzz again. I check it again incase it's my brother.

" You look cute wearing that pajamas but I bet you look cuter when you wear my shirt ;)

- Unknown "

What the heck.. It's a private number.

" Idk who you are. I think you got the wrong number"

Sent.

My phone buzz again.

" No I don't princess. Good night Luna.

- Unknown "

I jolted up from my bed and turn off my phone. What the hell.. what just happened.. No. don't panic. It must be someone trying to pull some stupid prank on me. Yes.. Don't overthink about it.

But I can't sleep now. I keep thinking about the texts. How did the person know what I'm wearing right now? I'm scared.

I get up from the bed and walk to the living room and see Edward is still playing video games. He is sitting on the floor and his eyes are focused on the screen.

I lie on the sofa behind of him and grab his blanket on the floor and wrap it around my body.

Edward pauses his game and turn around to look at me weirdly. "Why are you here? Go back to your room and that's my blanket"

"I just don't want to sleep by myself tonight.. go into my room and get my blanket if you want to. I don't want to move" I said and closed my eyes, getting ready to sleep.

"Don't complain if I play too loud" Edward said and I just nodded. I just need a company right now.

Edward's pov

"Ohhh... YES!" I accidently screamed in joy when I finally win this level. I quickly close my mouth and turn to look at her.

She is already sleeping.

Yeah whatever. I think she didn't hear me. Thank goodness she's a heavy sleeper.

I continue playing the games and suddenly I think of Luna. She's never been like this. Why did she suddenly decided to sleep here? I know she hates it when I get too noisy while playing games but why is she here?

I smiled as I'm playing the games. Maybe she started to like me or something?
