Invitation

Alexandria pov.

"Mommy do you like the scary uncle?"

I saw mommy was chocking when drinking. "Why do you think like that sweetheart?"

"Because I can see you smiling all day after you see him."

Mommy pinched my cheek. "Mmm, Mommy is just happy because today we can go lunch together." She smiled to me.

"I am happy too. Let's have another one!"

"Sure, we will have lunch together another day. But there will be no sleeping session." Mommy teased me. I remembered I just fell asleep because I was crying a lot in the restaurant. It was all because that scary man. I grumbled while thinking of that.

"I won't! Just make sure the uncle won't come again." I frowned. I didn't like the man mommy met today. He was scary.

"Sure! It will be the two of us."

"Yaay! Thank you mom." I jumped, hugged and kissed her.

"Hey why don't you go shower then we can have dinner at Victoria's?"

"Okay! I can't wait to see her. I miss her already." I ran to my bathroom. I saw my mommy smiled before I left.

An half of hour later I was ready. I came to the kitchen when mommy prepared the meal for the dinner at Victoria's.

"Wow! You look beautiful baby." She kissed my cheek. "I don't know you have grown up, you even choose your dress and help yourself wearing it. I am proud of you." She kissed another cheek and I giggled.

"Of course, I am 5 years old now, you know." I grinned at her. She pinched my cheek. She liked to pinch my cheek. "Are you ready mom? When will we go? I can't wait to see Vic." I said excitedly. I loved Victoria because she had taken care of me very well. I was sad that today she got sick.

"Can you wait a little while? I'm going to shower then we can leave."

"Of course mom!"

Mommy packed the meal to the bag. But then she looked at a paper and frowned. She put the paper beside the dinner pack bag, then left to the bathroom. What was it? Why mommy looked so sad? I tried to reach the paper by using the chair in the kitchen counter. Finally, I could reached it. The paper was like a birthday party invitation once my friend ever sent me. I couldn't read it well. I knew alphabet but to read a word I had still to learn. Next time, I would ask Vic to teach me how to read. I looked back at the paper. Seemed like she wanted to go there. I didn't like seeing mom sad.

Elena pov.

"Mommy, do you wish to go to someone party, tonight?" I cough hearing Alex said it. How would she know? We were at our way to Victoria's apartment.

"Nope, Why do you think like that sweetie?"

"You know, you can go. I can stay at Vic's."

"No way, she is sick you remember. I can't let Victoria takes care of you."

"I am a big girl now mommy! I won't let Victoria take care of me. I will the one take care of her."

I wonder my baby girl was grown up now, she was smart talking. She looked offended by my words.

"I still can't let you." I saw Alexandria pouted at me.

After an half hour, we arrived at Victoria's apartment. I rang the bell.

Not long after it, someone opened the door. It was Mrs. Julia Parker, Victoria's mother. She looked surprised at our arrival.

"Granny!" Alexandria jumped to her.

"Hey, baby girl!" She lifted my daughter then kissed my daughter on both cheeks.

"How are you Mrs. Parker? Nice to see you." I greeted her.

"Hey Elena, I am fine. Please come in." She put down Alex then hugged me. She let us came in to the apartment.

"How is Victoria now? Has she met a doctor?" I asked Mrs. Parker worriedly. Hope, everything was fine. I hadn't contacted Vic yet since I had a lot of work to do and meetings at two different place. (One of them is the meeting with Mr. Johnson). That was why I decided to give Vic a visit at dinner time.

"She's getting better now. Wait a minute, I'll call her." Mrs. Parker was about to leave when I cut her action.

"It's okay. Let her rest mam, we just.."

"Hey!!!!! Little fairy! Miss me?!" Vic surprised Alex from behind.

"Victoria!!! Are you alright now? I miss you, but I have a good time with mommy." Vic lifted Alex and sat her on Vic's hip.

"Ooooo I see." She smiled. "Hey Elena. I'm alright now. It is just a stomach cramp."

I narrowed my eyes on her. "Then can you explain your mother being here?" I asked suspiciously while handing the meal that I prepared for the dinner to Mrs. Parker.

She laughed. "I get caught! Well, the cramp is really bad. I have to call mother to take care of me. But after visiting doctor, and taking medication, it's getting better now."

"Thanks God." I felt thankful.

"Victoria, can we talk?" Suddenly Alex waving her little hand motioning Vic to get close to her. Then Alex whispered. I could not hear them. I saw them suspiciously. I know it was about Alex staying here, and I going to the party. I wondered Alex saw the invitation while I took a shower.

Yeah, a birthday invitation. Guess what? It was Mr. Johnson birthday party!

I saw the invitation 3 days ago. My PA handed it to me. I thought I should go there for being respect considering there will be a contract between our companies. But after I met him personally, my desire to go there and met him again grew. Until I remembered about Vic. I should cancel it. I wouldn't let myself make Vic took care of my daughter and I went to the party freely. She was just recovered. And I already decided to give her a visit in the first place.

"Come here!" Suddenly Victoria grabbed my hand, took me from another world and led me to her room.

Then I saw Alex smiling to me.
