The Return

The meeting with Peter ended early. She thought of going out first to somehow take a break and relax.

"Going out? Asked Leslie, when she sees her walking out while carrying her bag.

"Hmmm!" She answered as she passes through her.

A few minutes later Ivy was already in front of the steering wheel of her car. Because she suddenly came out she didn't know where she was going. In other words, she couldn't think of where to go. Since she went to country A, she immersed herself in work. Peter and her could build their own company. They called it Power A.I. an accounting software that is already in use around the world that caters to accounting problems.

Ivy was the President of the company while Peter is the vice president. Because of the continuous innovation of the accounting service market, they need to lunch a new development at least every quarter of the year. As a year goes by Peter and her thought of making software for Human Resources and that's what they both working harder. There are so far so good about the outcome of their business and they are both happy. They can live luxuriously in Country A. The evidence will see on the car that she is driving right now, a Bugatti Veyron. She also doesn't regret leaving all the luxury she has in County P when she can earn for it.

She just kept driving until she got to the seaside. It was winter season so that no one is around. Ivy lowered the window to let the air into the car so that she can feel the cooling breeze. She watched the waves that continue to pound the shore.

She is thinking about her life, what should she do, What plan? What is her purpose or what is the use of all the success that she experiencing right now? All she knows is she is not happy. Why does something seem to be missing but she cannot pinpoint what is it?

"Maybe, I can adopt a child," She said to herself. So that her world will revolve with someone else and have some direction. She didn't realize the time because she was immersed in her thought. The sun was about to set when her phone started to ring.

"Peter, What's up?" She asked quickly when she saw his name on the caller.

"Ivy, Where are you?" His voice is trembling, obviously nervous.

"Why?" Ivy was stun because Peter is not like that when he calls her about a company problem or with the client. He is always complacent even in the worst scenario of our company.

"Where are you, first?" He asked again.

"I am here at the seaside looking for a man but it's just sad there are no men here at this time, so I'm alone." She was joking to relieve the tension with Peter side but it is not working.

"You need to go back to County P!" Peter answered seriously.

"Thump...thump....!" the sound of Ivy's heartbeat suddenly increase It made her nervous. It means a bad premonition that happened in county P. After a long silence, she spoke "tell me?" Ivy tried to calm down and pray that this nothing to do with her fear.

"Grandfather Ferederico has a heart attack!" Peter said.

"Boom!" It's like an explosion that explodes in her brain. She didn't even realize that she let go of her phone and fell. She was suddenly blank and didn't know how and what to do.

"Ivy... Ivy... Ivy answered me!" Peter shout. Even though her phone is on her feet, she can still hear him. Ivy closed her eyes first and sighed a few times before she picked it up but her hands are still shivering.

"Status?"

"He is critical!"

"Book me a ticket going to County P, now!"

"Ivy!" Peter called her again with his voice full of concern.

"I need to see him before anything bad happened. I need to talk to him and ask his forgiveness. I don't care if Edward was there all I care about is Grandpa huhu...huhu...!" Ivy said to Peter between her cries. Grandpa is the only family for her so she must see him for the last time.

"Okay, I will book the ticket right now!" Peter said.

"Thank you!" Ivy said before ending the call. She immediately drove the car to her house to be able to pack the things she will be needing in returning to county P. All her pray is to reach there as soon as possible to meet her Grandpa.

Since she left country P, she hasn't heard from the people there except Grandpa. Ivy always asked Peter to monitor his condition and update her if it is an unnecessary occurrence regarding his health. She knows that sooner or later he's health will collapse but she can believe that it is too soon and she is not prepared.

"Beep ... Beep ...! She heard a horn outside the gate of her house. When Ivy came out it was Peter's car.

"Let's go!" He said to her so she got on board right away. When she got there, Ivy noticed his suitcase on the back seat.

"Are you coming back also?"

"Yes, I'll go with you!"

"Are you crazy!" Ivy shouted.

"Why?" He asked her in surprise.

"Peter we can't leave at the same time, what will happen to our company and you know we have a deadline for our new product that we need to release next month."

"Is that even more important to you?" He also shouted at me angrily.

"I am fine and I can manage so don't worry?"

"How can you be okay if Edward was there?"

"What can Edward do to me? I've moved on Peter so you don't have to worry and I can't avoid him for the rest of my life. Maybe it's time for me to face him and to have closure." She explained

"But Ivy!" Peter said worriedly.

"I can do it alone so you don't have to worry. Finish our project, because that's what's more important." her final say.
