No Restart

"Does it sound true?" Edward's mother's query, who was still filled with skepticism.

"I just lost weight, Mom, and I'm not wearing my glasses, but it's me, Ivy."

"I'm so sorry, hija; I can't believe your transformation. You are stunning! "She replied to Ivy while holding her two hands together as if she couldn't believe Ivy was standing right in front of her.

"Mom, it's almost as if you said I was that ugly before!" Ivy's response was hesitant.

"Haha... No, that's not what I'm saying!"

"It appears that's what you mean, Mom!" Edward replied as he reached for Ivy's hand, which his mother was holding.

"Stop talking! You are not a participant in our discussion! Why don't you go to work and make some money so Ivy can go shopping?" Eden's response to her son was uninterested.

"It's me again?" Edward complained as he hugged Ivy to relieve his resentment over his mother's insult.

"Mommy is correct, you must go to work!" Ivy responded.

"Even you baby, don't you want me to be here?" Edward expressed his sadness to Ivy because she does not want to be with him.

"I need more money than to spend time with you so you better go to work!" said Ivy whose face remained deadpan. She just really wanted Edward to be away from her because he is being so clingy.

"So go away!" Eden's second emotion to send her child away. She also wanted to have an in-depth conversation with Ivy so she would know what really happened in the past and if she had any plans to leave Edward again.

"I don't want to, I'm just going to stay here and watch Grandpa!" Edward refused obstinately.

"Leave first!" Eden kept demanding of Edward. However, he only hugged Ivy tighter as if he was afraid to part ways with her.

"Mom! My wife just returned, so I wish we could always be together, so if you don't mind, please don't act like a villain in our reunion," Edward replied, hugging Ivy lovingly.

"You're a fool with a strong head!" Eden complained as if she wanted to smack Edward again.

"What did Grandpa's doctor say about his condition?" Ivy inquired. Her understanding of the situation remains hazy.

"The doctor said it's likely that your Grandfather will recover, but the problem is that he hasn't shown any reaction to the medicine that the doctor gave him," Eden explained sadly, looking at her father, who was lying on the bed.

"Don't worry, Baby, Grandpa will recover because you're already here!" While squeezing Ivy's hand, Edward responded.

Ivy didn't respond and just stared at her Grandpa. She is thinking of bringing Grandfather to country A if his condition does not improve. there is no development in his condition. This is because medical facilities in that country are more advanced than in Country P.

"Do you intend to leave again?" Eden inquired as to if she had read Ivy's mind.

"She is not going to abandon me, Mom! She assured me that we would begin again!" Edward responded with assurance.

Ivy looked at him because she couldn't remember promising him they'd start over. She only remembers that they agreed that she would stay in the meantime while Grandpa was still sick, but that they would not restart.

"You're not the one I'm asking so don't respond!" Eden strikes her son once more.

"Mom, are you getting used to beating me!" Edward exclaimed, caressing the one his mother had knocked to relieve the pain.

"You're crazy! Why is there a handprint on your cheek?" Eden asked while staring closely at Edward's face.

Eden hurts Edward because she believes that she must discipline her son to be a mother. That's normal for her, especially if she doesn't approve of what Edward did, but it's a different story when someone causes him harm.

"I slapped him!" Ivy admits that there was nothing wrong with what she did to put an end to Edward's Mommy's interrogation.

"It was just a mistake, Mom; Ivy didn't mean it!" Edward elaborated.

"I meant that to hurt him!"

"Baby! You didn't mean that, it was all an accident!" Edward's defence again.

"That's not enough because if I'm the only one who can decide I really want to cut your...!" Ivy calmly said as she looked at Edward's manhood. Out of instinct, Edward covered it with both hands.

"Ivy, it's okay if you beat Edward, even if he passes out or is injured, but before you cut that, let me have at least one grandchild, rather two, but three would be ideal. What are your thoughts on hija?" Eden exclaimed happily that the prospect of having a grandchild made her even more excited. Ivy didn't say anything and just bowed her head, but the sadness in her eyes was palpable.

"Don't believe Mom, baby! Don't be angry any longer; let me serve you for the rest of your life!" Edward expressed his affectionately.

"You must be, because if Ivy leaves again, I swear I'll deny you as my son!" Eden is threatening.

"Ivy isn't going anywhere so stop saying that!" Edward's vehement rebuke to his mother. Because she keeps on saying it repeatedly and it might come true. So if possible, he avoided discussing Ivy's departure or leaving him. He would have preferred to discuss their future together with their future child, whom he is thrilled about.

"Okay fine! I'll buy something to eat first!" Eden said goodbye before standing up and leaving the two that she could not separate.

"Are you not going into your office?' Ivy asked Edward who was already lying on her lap while staring at her.

"No, there's no urgent work there so I'll stick by your side!" He replied while staring at Ivy's face that barely changed. It doesn't even have a trace of any emotion except for the occasional frown caused by what she's reading on her phone.

"Are you having eye surgery?" Edward asked again when he does not receive any response. Because of Edward's question, Ivy shifted her gaze away from her phone and looked at Edward.

"How can you say that?"

"Because the color of your eyes had changed!" Edward responded.

Ivy was surprised because she didn't think Edward knew what color her eyes were where but she easily concealed her emotions. Ivy had worn glasses since she was a child because she was nearsighted.

"It's all in your head!" Ivy answered and resumed reading the email on her phone. She didn't want to think about Edward's concern for her. It's difficult to have hope like before, but in the end, she'll be the only one who suffers.
