New President

"Who are you?" Mr. Cruz yelled at Ivy. He is the one that noticed her entering the conference room.

Ivy ignored them and she just continued to enter and go straight to where Edward was sitting.

"Baby!" Edward calls obviously surprised at her arrival.

"You still have the guts to bring your mistress here to the office! You really don't have the slightest bit of embarrassment Edward." As all the board members mock him.

"She's not my mistress but legally wife." Edward defends Ivy as he places his hand on Ivy's slim waist.

"Don't make a fool of us Edward. We know your wife. It's better that you send her away and don't add to your embarrassment!"

"John kindly get me some chair!" Ivy orders Edward secretary that is remaining standing at his side.

Suddenly everyone fell silent because of what Ivy said. Even John seems unwilling to comply but Edward repeated the command so he did nothing but obey.

"So may I know what is the purpose of this meeting?" Ivy asked with full authority.

Based on the share, she is the next to Edward and in case there is a vote to demote him being president she is more entitled to take his place.

"What is the agenda John of this meeting?" Ivy asked again when nobody want to answer her inquiry.

"The purpose of this meeting is to demote Sir Edward for his position," John answered quickly.

"So who will replace him?" Ivy asked as she looked at each board member.

"What right do you have to ask, Who are you, you're just a hooker!" Mr. Cruz laminated.

"She is not a hooker but my wife!" Edward said angrily as he pulled the collar of Mr. Cruz for a punch. Edward doesn't want others to insult his wife in front of him.

"Don't be too harsh," Ivy advises as she pulled Edward back to his chair.

"As what I'm saying who will replace Edward for his position as President of this company, You?" Ivy pointed to Mr. Cruz. with her index finger.

"Yes, I am! Apart from me, no one else is capable of running the company!" Mr. Cruz answer arrogantly.

"But as far as I remember the President must be the biggest share in this company?" Ivy elaborated.

"Edward has the biggest share of this company but he does not have the ability to run the company properly. If you can see the stock value of the company was down in two years and soon we will declare bankruptcy." Mr. Cruz showed on the big screen the decline in sales in two years.

Ivy nodded as if agreeing with Mr. Cruz.

"Baby, I'm sorry I do my best to run this company as far as I can but I failed. You know ever since that I'm not good at business and I only rely on you and Grandpa. "Edward confessed. He was very ashamed of Ivy because he knew that she gave everything just to develop the company but in just two years he was able to bring it down.

"If you're really good, what is your plan for the company to grow? "Ivy asked directly to Mr. Cruz and ignored Edward who was blaming himself.

Mr. Cruz thought for a long time but he could not answer. While the other board members kept looking as if waiting for a good show. In fact, 50% of the company is named after Edward, while 25% belongs to Ivy. While 10% belongs to Mr. Cruz and the remaining 15% were shared by four board members.

"Look like you don't have any plan?" Ivy asked obviously bored with Mr. Cruz's silence.

"I have a plan once I'm the one sitting as president." He replied arrogantly.

"I'm sorry but I can't entrust my 25% share to someone who doesn't have a plan for the company but it's up to you Ladies and Gentlemen if you trusted him," Ivy said while looking at the other board members.

"How came you have a 25% share in the company?" Mr. Cruz questioned.

"Didn't you hear what I said earlier that she's my wife, obviously Ivy has 25 shares in the company ever since?" Edward answered. Everyone was surprised and looked at Ivy because they couldn't believe her transformation.

"If Ivy is here, We can declare her to be our new President because she's the next big share and the same time very cable." Answer by Mr. Mercado.

"I have no objection!" another board member, Ms. Luna answered.

"Same here!" by Mr. Alvis.

"I also have no objection." Mr. Chan.

"If Ivy manages this company, we don't have to argue anymore because we trust her completely." Mr. Cruz accepted his defeat.

"Then I'm happy to step down so my wife Ivy can replace me," Edward said cheerfully.

"Wait!" Ivy said because she couldn't believe that she was the new president they elected. Honestly, she has no plans or interest in that position because she does not want to stay longer in Country P. Plus she already has a business in County A.

"Baby?" Ewards called her begging that she accept the position. Even the board members looked at Ivy as if she was the only answer to this sinking company.

"Leave us first!" Ivy command and all the board members left, including John.

"I just want everything to be clear Edward. I'm not doing this for you but for Grandpa but once he's okay we'll go back to what we talked about." Ivy clarified.

"Thank you!" Edward responded as he hugged Ivy and kiss her as if he gained new hope.

"Release me!" Ivy ordered because it seemed like Edward had no intention of letting her go.

"Let's go to your office!" Edward's said as he pulled her out of the conference room.

Ivy thought they would go back to the 5th floor where Edward's office was but they went down to the 2nd floor where the other employees are working.

"Guys welcome our new president of the company!" Edward announced full of enthusiasm.

All the employees looked at Ivy as if surprised by the news but they also immediately applauded and spoke at the same time. "Congrats Madam and welcome to the company."
