Seduce Him

The weight in her heart settled. 

She had chased away the assailant, but she could not help feeling afraid. She was not sure about the reason that the attacker was not in a rush to kill her. If the person was determined, they would not have only injured her arms. 

During their exchange, there were plenty of opportunities to deliver a killing blow. However, the person in the fog kept hesitating and making empty threats.

Aisling felt a little fortunate. If the situation was dangerous, and she was at real risk, she hoped that she would be able to call to her banshee scream. But she could not be sure about it, so she was glad that she was not forced to a corner. 

"I am sorry," Abaddon said with unconcealed sorrow. 

He promised and swore in his heart that he would protect her. However, when the moment he needed her came, he was not even on the scene. 

"Why?" Aisling asked while opening her weary eyes.
